After the selection, the remaining students were given another test to evaluate their final score for the year. The selected students, on the other hand, were transported to another space.

Other students from other colleges as well as those from the Imperial College were all gathered there. Han Wu even saw Xu Mengmeng from the Demonic Imperial College. The two had once fought in the Blood Coliseum and had shared data about nurturing units.

Xu Mengmeng also spotted him and waved at him happily. Beside her stood her two friends, Firewind and White Ice, who nodded at Han Wu in acknowledgement.

There were also students from other colleges besides the Demonic Imperial College. Among these was a group that appeared to be from the Warfare College. Seeing them, Hei Qi detached himself from the Imperial College group to chat with the leader of the Warfare College group, turning to glance at Han Wu from time to time.

“That runt, Hei Qi, seems like he’s up to something,” Sun Qingnian warned. “Han Wu, be careful.”

Qin Shuang nodded. “I think he still resents you for what you did during the Soul Kingdom and wants to take revenge.”

“Probably,” Han Wu agreed. “He didn’t even thank me for saving him. What a discourteous idiot. If he tries anything against me, I’ll smack him so badly his parents won’t recognize his face.”

“That’s quite the threat.” Sun Qingnian chuckled. “Jokes aside though, the War family is a tricky bunch to deal with. They always come one after another. You beat the small one, and the old one pops out to avenge them.”

The group glanced over at Hei Qi in the distance. Based on his animated gesturing, it seemed Sun Qingnian was most likely right.

“I’ll be careful, but I’m not afraid of problems like this,” Han Wu assured.

Soon the rest of the students arrived. Once everyone was present, the Divine Civilization representative for the alliance of colleges stepped up to announce the rules.

“Everyone, I welcome you here. I am representative Luo Yun, chairman of the alliance.” The pressure of a God King permeated the area with his words, subtly suppressing the 10,000 students into silence. “We’ve received an invitation from the Divine Weapon Civilization and you are the ones lucky enough to be chosen to join the ceremony. While infighting is inevitable, I’m hoping you’ll keep it to a minimum as we’re all from the same home.

“I am of the mind that our priority is to gain as many resources for the Divine Civilization as possible during the ceremony, and I hope that everyone takes this mindset to heart. Now, let me announce the rules.”

With that, Luo Yun took out a paper.

“The Divine Weapon Civilization strives to make this fair. Before you enter the Divine Weapon Civilization, you need to spend 10 Divine Essence to form an avatar without any Divine Power or techniques. Once inside, the Will of the Divine Weapon Civilization will guide you.

“As chairman of the alliance, I can tell you this. As long as you can endure until the end of the ceremony, you can obtain plenty of resources. I implore you to actively participate, but to keep infighting to a minimum. Now, any questions?”

One of the students sheepishly raised their hand. “Sir, I don’t have enough Divine Essence. What should I do?”

In truth, the student didn’t even have 1 Divine Essence, let alone 10.

On average, most students weren’t even Demigods, and they typically used any Divine Essence they got on strengthening themselves. Moreover, 10 Divine Essence was a huge sum of money. Most students simply didn’t have that much laying around.

Fortunately, the alliance had clearly thought of this.

“The alliance is loaning Divine Essence without interest for students to complete the test,” Luo Yun responded.

Another member of the alliance chimed in, “If you don’t want to borrow 10 Divine Essence from us, you can also choose to sell your slot. We’re willing to purchase it for 15 Divine Essence so others may enter the Divine Weapon Civilization in your place.”

Many students wanted to sell their slots. It was highly likely that they wouldn’t get anything from the ceremony even if they spent 10 Divine Essence, so they chose to get 15 Divine Essence for free instead.

For those weaker or lacking confidence, the latter seemed the better choice. However, Han Wu couldn’t help but frown, silently admonishing them for their naïveté. The chairman already said that this was a rare chance to enter the Divine Weapon Civilization.

The gold was literally at their feet but they couldn’t see it. Then again, it wasn’t like he didn’t understand where they were coming from. Not every student was rich like him. Some of the more average students were still working hard to become a Demigod.

For them, 15 Divine Essence was a huge sum of money that could help them ascend into a perfect Demigod. One’s view of which was the better choice depended on their circumstances.

As a result, many sold their slots, and some of the wealthier students bought them up and entered the space. Thus, the number of participants remained unchanged at 10,000 in the end. Once all the participants were confirmed, the chairman tore the invitation and a white light enveloped the 10,000 students.

Han Wu found himself transported into the avatar he had spent 10 Divine Essence to forge. The Will of the Divine Weapon Civilization’s voice sounded in his mind.

After some careful consideration, he chose the third option. While he didn’t know what a Divine Weapon Atlas was, he was well aware that God equipment was exceptionally powerful.
