The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 62 Spatial Rifts
Earth energy surged outward from Sylas’ feet towards the zombie.
The ground beneath the zombie cracked open, and thick stone pillars shot up, aiming at the zombie.
The zombie reacted instantly and leaped backward, landing lightly several meters away from where it was standing. Its movements were nimble, almost unnatural for a zombie.
The zombie growled and twisted its neck slowly.
Suddenly, the mental attack became stronger.
Sylas felt a sharp pain explode behind his eyes. His space barrier trembled violently, and cracks started forming across its surface.
His vision blurred, and the ringing sounds in his ears intensified. This sudden overwhelming attack was stronger than before.
’Just how strong is its mental attack?’ Sylas thought.
Sylas gritted his teeth and forcefully circulated the space energy around his body, trying to block the mental attack.
"Trying to crush my consciousness directly..." he muttered, gritting his teeth.
The zombie raised its head slightly, and black mist started to swirl around its body.
Then, the zombie rushed towards Sylas.
Sylas stood firmly despite the mental attack. Several spatial blades formed around him, floating silently. With a flick of his fingers, they shot out from different directions, targeting the zombie’s head, neck, and torso.
The zombie reacted swiftly, twisting its body to dodge. One blade sliced through its shoulder, carving a deep wound.
Black blood splashed onto the ground.
The zombie roared, its mental attack fluctuating for a brief moment.
Sylas seized the opportunity.
He waved his hand again, and the ground beneath the zombie erupted. Soon, several stone spikes burst upward, attacking the zombie.
The zombie jumped repeatedly, retreating backward while avoiding the spikes. Even so, its movement path narrowed.
Sylas gathered space energy in his palm, compressing it steadily. Pain throbbed in his head as the mental attack continued to interfere with his focus.
"I have to focus..." he muttered.
The compressed spatial blade formed in Sylas’ palm.
The zombie sensed the danger coming from Sylas, its red eyes flaring violently, and the black mist exploded outward like a shockwave.
Boom!
Sylas felt as if something had slammed directly into his brain.
The compressed spatial blade collapsed instantly.
Sylas stumbled back several steps, nearly losing his balance. A sharp ringing filled his ears, and his vision dimmed.
Blood dripped from his nose.
’Such a strong mental attack,’ Sylas thought as he wiped away the blood from his nose.
The zombie didn’t attack physically. Instead, it stood still, staring at Sylas as the mental pressure intensified.
Sylas’ breathing grew heavy as he tried to maintain his composure.
His legs felt heavier, his thoughts sluggish. Even gathering ability energy now required more effort.
The zombie took another step forward.
GA GA GA.
Sylas raised his hand weakly, forming a space barrier around his head again. The barrier trembled violently under the mental attack of the zombie.
"This is bad..."
If this dragged on, he would lose consciousness.
And once his mind collapsed, no kind of ability would save him.
Sylas narrowed his eyes.
Seeing the zombie approaching him, Sylas’ heart thumped loudly.
’Think, think, think.... what should I do?’
He clenched his fists as he tried to think of a solution to defeat the high-level zombie.
Suddenly, Sylas seemed to sense the space around him more clearly than before. Space energy surged out from his body, and an invisible wave-like shape surged around his body.
The mental attack from the high-level zombie disappeared, and Sylas could finally focus.
The zombie paused as it sensed a strong pressure coming from Sylas.
Its red eyes flickered slightly as it sensed something wrong.
Before it could react, the ground beneath it disappeared.
The zombie sank halfway into distorted space.
It roared furiously and started thrashing as black mist surged wildly. The pressure from mental attack intensified again, attacking Sylas with a strong force.
Sylas groaned, veins bulging on his forehead, but his space energy quickly blocked it.
The zombie struggled but couldn’t get out of the space.
Multiple spatial cracks opened around the zombie, closing in slowly but firmly. The air distorted violently as space overlapped itself.
The zombie’s mental attack intensified to its peak.
Sylas’ vision darkened, and his knees buckled. He felt something tearing at his consciousness, as if trying to rip it apart.
"Hold on... just a little longer," Sylas uttered, gritting his teeth.
Blood trickled from both his ears and nose.
For a brief moment, he almost lost control.
Sylas let out a hoarse laugh. "You can’t break me that easily."
Then he slammed his hands together.
The spatial cracks closed instantly.
The zombie’s body twisted unnaturally as space collapsed around it. Black mist swirled violently as chunks of flesh were torn away.
The zombie roared as its mental attack became chaotic and unstable.
The spatial rifts around the zombie instantly cut down the zombie’s body into several parts.
Arms, legs, torso... piece by piece.
Yet even then, the zombie struggled, black mist trying to bind its form together.
"Tch... stubborn."
Sylas gathered the last of his strength.
A massive spatial blade formed above the zombie, far larger than before, aiming straight at the zombie’s head.
He brought his hand down.
The massive spatial blade descended straight towards the zombie’s head. The zombie let out a distorted roar as its body was split apart completely.
Sylas didn’t stop there. He expanded the spatial rift beneath the remains, swallowing everything, the flesh, the black mist, even the lingering mental energy.
The space closed.
And only the head of the zombie remained, its ghastly face looking towards Sylas.
The pressure from the mental attack vanished instantly.
Sylas stood there, unmoving. His entire body trembled violently. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
After several seconds, he finally dropped to one knee on the ground.
"Hah... hah..." he panted.
His head throbbed painfully from the earlier mental attack.
Sylas wiped the blood from his face with trembling fingers and looked at the empty space ahead.
"That was dangerous..." Sylas muttered, his breathing ragged.
Sylas forced himself to stand.
His energy was nearly depleted, and his head still hurt badly.
