The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 47 Fighting the Mutated Tree

Serena tightly gripped the military knife in her hand and moved back. The oppression from the tree was overwhelming, but she still resisted.

The mutated tree let out a sharp screech when Sylas’ spatial blades sliced through its branches. Severed tree branches crashed onto the ground, twitching and twisting violently like living creatures.

Black sap sprayed out from the cuts, and soon the air was filled with a sharp, rotten stench.

From the gaping stem, dark vines surged out, writhing and twisting as they aimed for Serena and the others. The vines were moving unnaturally fast, and their surfaces were lined with thorn-like barbs dripping with corrosive sap.

"Dylan!" Serena shouted when she saw a thick root shooting straight toward Dylan.

Dylan could feel the root tightening against his arm and pulling him. But before it could pull him away, a spatial blade flashed, and the thick root that had coiled around his arm loosened and fell to the ground.

"Thanks, brother," Dylan shouted before joining the others in the fight.

Sylas flicked his wrist again, and spatial blades rushed out, cutting through the roots erupting from the ground.

Every time Sylas cut off its roots, it caused the tree to shudder violently and shake its leaves as if in rage.

"It’s regenerating!" someone shouted.

Sylas looked toward the severed roots and saw them writhing on the ground and attempting to reconnect.

Realizing brute force wasn’t enough, Sylas closed his eyes for a split second and expanded his spatial sense. His space responded instantly.

The air around the tree distorted, and the branches and roots attempting to reconnect abruptly vanished.

The mutated tree let out a shrill screech when it sensed its roots had vanished.

The regeneration was abruptly halted.

On the other side, Major Kyle used his fire ability to burn the severed roots and branches.

Whenever Major Kyle tried to use his fire to burn the whole tree, the mutated tree was stronger than him, so he wasn’t able to burn it completely. The fire went out after burning it midway, and the flames never reached its core. The main part was the core of the mutated tree, and without burning or damaging the core, the mutated tree would not die completely.

The tree went berserk when it could no longer sense parts of its body.

The mutated tree contracted all its branches before exploding outward. The branches and roots shot out, stabbing indiscriminately in every direction.

"Back!" Major Kyle roared as a fire shield immediately formed in front of him.

Sylas clenched his fist, and more spatial blades erupted, forming a spinning barrier in front of the team. Branches and roots that came into contact shattered. Debris and black sap rained down, littering the road.

Sylas moved forward and slashed the ground with all his might. Shuan also used his earth ability to remove the soil, trying to extract the main stem from the ground. But the tree’s hold on the earth kept tightening.

Sylas’ spatial blade burst out, and the ground was immediately sliced open. The tree’s stem was underground, and its core was inside. The mutated tree sensed the danger approaching its core, and all the roots immediately retracted and formed a barrier in front of it.
