The Omega Is Pregnant-Chapter 93
“You’re here.”
Han Mi-sun welcomed Kang In-hyuk with a bright smile as he took the seat across from her. Even as he sat down, In-hyuk couldn’t hide the puzzled look in his eyes.
“What brings you out at this hour?”
“I happened to be passing by and wondered if you might be able to come out. Is work treating you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
Kang In-hyuk shook his head. Since he didn’t say anything else, a heavy silence settled between them for a moment. Soon, Han Mi-sun subtly asked the real reason she’d called him out.
“So? What do you think?”
“Other than the promotional guide being changed halfway through, it’s almost finished.”
“Do you think it’s going to succeed this time too?”
At her question, Kang In-hyuk paused to think, then nodded.
“I haven’t seen the whole thing yet, but it looks good. If Se-heon hyung monopolizes the market again this time, Wona will fail once more.”
“That would mean your father’s situation could get worse too.”
“You’ve always known Se-heon hyung is good at what he does, right?”
“You can do well too.”
“Gotta give credit where it’s due. Even if I jumped in right after graduating, I can’t catch up to him. That kind of gap doesn’t close in just a few years.”
“In-hyuk, you...”
Frustrated, Han Mi-sun gulped down her water. Her son was always like this. Instead of thinking about surpassing Kang Se-heon, he always praised his cousin’s abilities. She thought it was more of the same this time too—
“It’d be best to just make sure he never climbs up at all.”
—but he said something else entirely.
“Make sure he doesn’t climb up? You mean suppress him?”
“We can’t break him. Surely you’re not hoping for that?”
“Huh? Ah, no. No, of course not.”
Han Mi-sun hurriedly waved her hand. She hadn’t expected her son to think of anything other than acknowledging Kang Se-heon and accepting he couldn’t catch up.
The change in her son’s attitude brought a quiet wave of hope into her heart. As expected, he was her son. Up until now, he’d just been a university student with little interest, but now that he’d had some real experience, his thinking seemed to have shifted.
‘Yes, KH should be yours.’
Han Mi-sun, unable to hide the pride welling up to the top of her head, asked again.
“Right. Then this is going to be the most important project. Did you find any files that might be useful?”
Kang In-hyuk shook his head.
“Not a single one?”
“It’s not that I couldn’t find them. I just didn’t bring them out.”
“Why not?”
“If there’s any trace of us sneaking something out—any route at all—it could come back to bite us.”
Kang In-hyuk tapped his temple.
“It’s all stored up here.”
Once they had a solid thread to pull on, there was no need for heaps of data.
“The launch date is coming up fast.”
That was one of the reasons a TF team had been formed.
“I think they found out Dad made a deal with Wona Electronics. Their speed is insane, and all their support is happening in real-time.”
“Then... we need to move fast.”
Han Mi-sun nodded as if she understood, then lifted her head. She had something else to say, too.
“There’ll be an interview coming out soon.”
“An interview?”
At Kang In-hyuk’s question, Han Mi-sun smiled and nodded.

As Tae-seo tried to figure out where he’d seen that expression before, Kang Se-heon spoke to Han Mirae.
“Hello, Mirae.”
“H-Hello...”
Han Mirae bowed at the waist but didn’t lower her head. She couldn’t stop herself from checking again and again if the man in front of her was really Kang Se-heon.
“But... how do you know my name?”
“I saw you talking with Tae-seo at the hotel. That day...”
He seemed to be talking about the blind date, but his sentence trailed off. He acted like he was just lost in thought, but to Han Mirae, it felt much more like he was deliberately letting the words fade.
“I also heard about you from Tae-seo over a meal.”
“Ah, I see.”
With that, her confusion cleared, and as she hesitated, Kang Se-heon spoke again.
“How did the semester wrap up?”
“Sorry? Oh, it was fine.”
“You’re in the same year as Tae-seo, right? What’s your major?”
The conversation flowed as smoothly as a gentle stream, but Han Mirae couldn’t shake her discomfort. Why am I answering questions about my college life? Maybe, with the age difference, she could write it off as an older person’s polite interest—but it didn’t feel like that.
“You two probably didn’t see each other over the break, so it must’ve been nice to run into him today.”
“Ah... yes.”
It was nice, sure. But as she answered half-heartedly, Han Mirae finally realized the source of her discomfort. He wasn’t just curious about her school life. He knew she had contacted Tae-seo on the day her semester ended. Maybe he was acting like he was greeting her, but he might also know exactly when she’d reached out to Tae-seo.
“See you next time, then. Tae-seo, you don’t mind coming with me?”
“No.”
Of course not. He’s your boyfriend—why wouldn’t he?
As Han Mirae nodded, Tae-seo’s eyes lit up.
“I remember now.”
That expression on Kang Se-heon’s face—it was the one from the first time he met him. The look that told him not to overstep, the one that drew a clear boundary.
“Tell me what you remembered while we walk.”
“Ah, okay. Mirae, see you again.”
With Se-heon’s hand on his shoulder, Tae-seo waved to Mirae. Se-heon, as if finding him adorable, moved his hand from Tae-seo’s shoulder to gently ruffle his hair, turning his body to the side. Then he cast a brief glance at Mirae before walking away.
Watching the two men disappear into the distance, Han Mirae let out a hollow laugh.
“What the hell. The rumors made it sound like this was some tangled mess, but the emotional flow is so simple.”
Just one look at Kang Se-heon’s eyes and she could tell.
“So jealous, huh.”
What? Yoon Tae-seo bullied Seo Da-rae to steal Kang Se-heon?
“Honestly, the rumor that Kang Se-heon devoured Yoon Tae-seo sounds way more believable.”
If someone asked Kang Se-heon who Seo Da-rae was, he’d probably say, “Who’s that?” and treat him like some random speck of dust.
“Watching that, should I be glad Tae-seo is being loved? Or ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ should I feel bad for him?”
Han Mirae muttered, then hit her chest in frustration.
“And why the hell is Yoon Tae-seo so good-looking if he’s an Omega?”
They only met briefly, and yet she kept finding herself drawn to him.
Grumbling to herself, Han Mirae pulled out her phone.
“If I let a face that handsome and pretty get away just because I couldn’t make him my boyfriend, that’s a loss. Just seeing beauty up close is a win, you know?”

So how should she go about this?
Pondering, Han Mirae placed her hands back on her phone.
“I’m going to clear every bit of slander stuck to Tae-seo. Then I’ll walk right up to him, proud and confident.”
People still couldn’t believe Yoon Tae-seo was really an Omega. They said now he was clinging to Kang Se-heon, or that he’d finally stolen him from Seo Da-rae. Han Mirae’s fingers flew over her phone, her flair in full swing as she moved to shut down every one of those reactions.

“So Se-heon hyung came in your place?”
“That’s right.”
After getting a message from one of the secretaries, Se-heon had come in person.
“Thanks to that, I got to see something nice. It worked out. Mirae will wrap things up.”
Not understanding what Se-heon meant by that, Tae-seo silently poked at his cake with a fork. He’d said he just wanted to grab a bite before heading back, so they came straight to a café.
As soon as Tae-seo swallowed the last bite of cake, he launched into what sounded like a half-excuse.
“I just ran into Mirae by coincidence.”
“I know.”
“And if you heard her call me good-looking—I want to make it clear it wasn’t anything weird. She was just stating an objective fact.”
“Seemed like the vibe was good.”
Se-heon responded lightly, and Tae-seo, brushing it off like it was nothing, added,
“And I got to see our Se-heon hyung getting jealous too.”
He bit his straw and grinned.
“I mean, I immediately thought of when you called me a blob of flesh or whatever.”
“Can’t deny it.”
Se-heon acknowledged it. Back then, he never imagined he’d end up in this kind of relationship with Yoon Tae-seo.
“Our hyung smiles while drawing really clear lines. I wonder if Mirae will reach out again.”
If she didn’t, Tae-seo could always be the one to reach out—but he couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed.
“I doubt it.”
Se-heon seemed to have a different take.
Without warning, he took a picture of Tae-seo on his phone and wiped the cream off the corner of his mouth. He could’ve just said something was on his face—doing it directly like this... When Tae-seo turned slightly to the side, he felt the gaze that quickly turned away. A couple who seemed to be dating had been sneaking glances at them for a while. There was no way Se-heon hadn’t noticed, yet he was acting like always.
“I didn’t know our shameless Tae-seo cared about things like that.”
“Even the shameless have a sense of time and place.”
To prove he could handle it himself, Tae-seo wiped his own lips. The leftover cream Se-heon hadn’t cleaned had smudged, and with a sharp look, Tae-seo warned him not to touch again. Se-heon pretended not to notice how that only drew more attention and scooped up another bite of cake, offering it to Tae-seo.
When he brought it to Tae-seo’s mouth, Tae-seo hesitated for a second before opening up.
“Finish it.”
“I’m fine with that... but are you really just going to watch me eat and then leave?”
“Yes.”
Se-heon checked his phone, reviewing the reports coming in.
“If you have to go in the middle of this, don’t worry about me. Just go.”
“Don’t say stuff like that. Just eat. Is it good?”
“It is. But it’s just a snack, so I’ll need to eat something else later.”
Tae-seo looked a little regretful as he stared at the now-empty plate. He’d ordered three types of cake, and already only one was left.
“How much are you planning to eat?”
“A little bit of everything, within what my belly allows.”
“Why?”
“Because once I eat something tangy, I want something heavy. And after that, I want something sweet again. Maybe I take after the baby’s dad? So fickle.”
“Right. So fickle—just like Yoon Tae-seo.”
Se-heon tidied it up smoothly.
Not the baby—you.
