The Obsessive Tycoon Claims the Deserted Heiress-Chapter 155 - 154: Bro, she kissed me again
Chapter 155: 154: Bro, she kissed me again
The warmth of that touch traveled straight from Shi Yin’s lips to his brain, leaving him with no escape.
"I—I have my brother waiting for me." He hastily shifted his gaze away from the woman’s cheek, unwound the hands at his waist, and vanished from her sight in a mix of walking and running.
Shi Yin, with a faintly red face and short breaths, found the man washing his hands outside the garden restroom.
Clutching his rapidly beating heart, he blurted out without a second thought, "Brother..."
The earnest "Brother" successfully caused Shi Wei to pause his handwashing, a glimmer of complex emotion flashing through his deep black eyes.
He couldn’t remember how long it had been since he last heard this word from him.
"What’s wrong?" The man glanced at him nonchalantly through the mirror, spotting his flushed face and frazzled demeanor, an inkling forming in his heart.
Sure enough, the next second, he heard him speaking in a tone bordering on grievance: "She kissed me again."
Shi Yin felt as though even his voice trembled, his brain a jumbled mess, akin to a lost child.
He stammered through describing the earlier scene, pointing to his lips with his fingertips: "She—she actually kissed me here, and even said she’d take responsibility for it..."
"And then?" Shi Wei, still calm, wiped his hands with a paper towel.
He turned, aiming the crumpled paper at the bin, and flicked it into the air, tracing an arc.
"And then... I ran away." Shi Yin stood there like a ramrod, his head bowed low, fists tightly clenched.
He oscillated between nervousness and bashfulness, a flood of contradiction.
"Spineless," Shi Wei muttered disdainfully, raising an eyebrow in irritation. Leaning against the sink, he fished out a box of cigarettes from his pocket and casually tossed one at him.
With the cigarette pinched between his two fingers, he asked before lighting it, his tone dispassionate: "What do you think about all of this?"
The young woman had been scheming tirelessly to pair them up. As her husband, he figured he ought to help her out a little.
Of course, no one could force such things; asking clearly first was always a good starting point.
"I don’t know."
Shi Wei: "..."
Hopelessly idiotic.
Shi Wei took a deep drag from his cigarette, trying to suppress the urge to slap some sense into him. Attempting a different approach, he guided, "She kissed you; did you feel anything?"
Shi Yin mulled over it for a moment before admitting his genuine feelings: "I did... but I was still a little panicked."
Especially whenever the woman got close—her scent inexplicably made him restless, even provoking a desire to escape.
Shi Wei gazed at his troubled expression and sighed inwardly. When it came to taking the initiative, this one might need another three or five years.
"Go watch some Korean dramas and learn," the man smothered the cigarette in his hand and gave him two solid pats on the shoulder as he passed by.
"Korean dramas?" Shi Yin murmured, puzzled.
He watched the man walk out of the bathroom, displaying gentle affection as he wrapped his arm around the young woman’s waist.
Suddenly, it clicked why the man had suggested Korean dramas.
**
Silvery moonlight poured through the hazy night, spilling over the hot springs at the foot of a distant green hill. The pale white brilliance intertwined with curls of rising mist.
Inside the women’s changing room, a young woman stared bashfully at the black swimsuit Ruan Yuan had placed on the bench, hesitant to reach for it.
She pressed her lips tightly together, "Is there no other option?"
"I only brought these two." Ruan Yuan replied unhurriedly, parting the bamboo curtain as she stepped out.
She had changed into a white halterneck bikini, with thin straps wrapping around her slender waist twice, fully revealing her voluptuous figure.
It was sensual but free of vulgarity.
"Ruan Yuan, you’re so beautiful," Yu Zhi’s almond-shaped eyes sparkled in admiration.
Though she had seen her wear swimsuits several times abroad, none had captivated her as much as this one did.
"You’ll look even better once you put yours on." Ruan Yuan teased as she picked up the swimsuit from the bench with her fingertips and shoved it into the young woman’s hands.
She grinned playfully, "Guaranteed to make your man utterly smitten."
"Stop with the nonsense." The young woman playfully glared at her, tightening her grip on the swimsuit hesitantly, "I... I really can’t wear this."
She had always worn diving suits while swimming.
The skimpy outfit in her hands was something she’d never tried before.
"What can’t you wear?" Ruan Yuan looped her arm through hers, dragging her behind the bamboo curtain. She kindly pulled it shut for her, insisting, "Just change quickly."
Under Ruan Yuan’s relentless urging, it took a full five or six minutes before faint rustling emerged from behind the curtain.
Not far from the changing room, in the steamy haze of the hot spring pool, several men were chatting and laughing.
"Shi Yin, I saw you in the garden earlier today," Xu Linchuan rested his arms on the pool’s edge, quirking his brows with a roguish grin.
Upon hearing this, Shi Yin, who had barely recovered from his intimate ordeal, tensed up again.
"What did you see?" His gaze shifted nervously, drawing the group’s attention to his unease.
"What else could it be? You got—" Xu Linchuan deliberately stretched out his words, savoring Shi Yin’s discomfort.
After a brief pause, he smirked mischievously, "—kissed by someone. Oh, and hugged too."
Shi Yin: "..."
He had expected the woman’s conspicuous choice of location to be inevitably seen.
Shi Yin coughed awkwardly, bowing his head under their prying stares.
"Brother Yin got kissed by a pretty lady, didn’t he?" Jin Yunzhi remarked with unusual composure, showing none of his typical thrill for gossip.
Xu Linchuan: "You were there?"
"No, the pretty lady told me earlier that she liked Brother Yin." By now, Jin Yunzhi had heard about everything worth gossiping over.
If it hadn’t been for Brother Fan dragging him away, he could have listened a little longer.
Xu Fan froze briefly upon hearing this, "You two were chatting so enthusiastically because of this?"
He had thought they were mutually smitten. As it turned out, they were only bonding over idle gossip.
So his afternoon sulking and jealousy were all self-inflicted?
Jin Yunzhi nodded, "The pretty lady said she had sneaked a kiss from Brother Yin once before."
He blinked his grape-like eyes twice, "At home, no less~"
"All alone in the house." Xu Linchuan added, gleefully stirring the pot, flashing a carefree grin, "Shi Yin, not bad at all."
Shi Yin: "..."
Seeking to end the awkward conversation, Shi Yin turned his head hurriedly towards the silent man, throwing him a pleading look.
