Chapter 167: You Can Persuade Me Again

Primrose glanced back and forth between the book and her husband, weighing the pros and cons of answering his question.

She hadn’t even looked inside the book yet, so saying "yes" felt a bit risky.

But she also knew Edmund would never pressure her into doing anything she wasn’t comfortable with, so saying "no" felt a little too harsh.

"I’m sorry," Primrose said with a small smile. "I’m just ... really tired right now. Can we just sleep?"

She hadn’t made up her mind whether to say yes or no, so that felt like the safest answer she could give.

Edmund gently put the book aside. He didn’t say much, but the slight droop of his eyebrows made him look like a sad little puppy.

[I really want to try what I learned from this book, but ... I don’t want to pressure her,] he thought.

[Maybe she’ll be in the mood tomorrow. Didn’t she say we could do it for two hours a day?]

[No, no—don’t be selfish. How can I even think about that when she says she’s tired?]

"I understand," Edmund said softly, nodding. "We can try it another time."

They ended up lying side by side on the bed. Primrose turned her back to him, not because she was upset, but because she didn’t want to see that disappointed look on his face.

Still, every few minutes, she could hear him sigh quietly behind her.

[Why do I always act like an animal? Getting aroused so easily just by being near my wife.]

But, real animals got turned on when they were near any female, not just their wife.

So respectfully, he was nothing like a wild animal.

After a moment, Primrose took a deep breath and rolled over to face him. "Was there something interesting in that book?" she asked gently.

Edmund’s face immediately brightened, as if a light had just been switched on. He lit up the moment she showed even the smallest bit of interest.

"There’s so much in here," he said, his voice full of excitement. He reached under his pillow and pulled the book back out. "It teaches me all kinds of ways to please my wife, which means you."

To be honest, Primrose had never seen a book focused on the woman’s pleasure before.

Most of the ones she’d come across were either about pleasing the man or just sex in general.

To be honest, she had been a little surprised when Edmund touched her in ways that made her feel really good. He even found sensitive spots like her clitoris and g-spot, things not many men even knew existed.

At first, she thought he had learned it from being with many women before.

But that idea shattered when she overheard some palace soldiers’ mind about how the king had been a complete virgin before their wedding.

It was honestly kind of surprising.

Especially in a world where women were judged so harshly for not being virgins, while men got a free pass.

They said men didn’t "leave a mark" when they slept around, and many even believed it was normal for them to satisfy their desires freely.

Which, in Primrose’s mind, was absolutely ridiculous.

Women had desires too. Some even had stronger sex drives than men, but that didn’t mean they’d go around town and sleep with every man they saw.

"Before we got married ... did you ever read books like this?" Primrose asked shyly. "It’s just ... you always make me feel so good."

Edmund was quiet for a moment before replying in a low voice, "I did read a few books, but ... they weren’t very detailed."

Not very detailed? Even with just those books, Edmund had never failed to bring her to heaven.

"What about this one?" Primrose asked gently. "Is it clear enough for you to understand?"

"There are illustrated pictures inside, so ... it’s easy to follow." Edmund hesitated. "Do you want to take a look?"

Primrose reached for his hand before he could open the book. She leaned in and whispered, "How about you show me what’s in it by trying it on me tonight?"

His disappointed face would definitely keep Primrose up all night, so maybe ... she could let her husband pamper her tonight.

Edmund swallowed hard. "Tonight? But aren’t you tired?"

"You can give me energy with a kiss," she murmured. "You should’ve offered me that solution earlier."

"I ... I just didn’t want to pressure you." Edmund reached up and gently caressed her face.

"It’s not like you’re going to throw me onto the bed and choke me," Primrose said playfully, leaning closer. "I’d say no right away if I didn’t want it. Otherwise, you’re allowed to keep persuading me. So ... husband, do you want to try persuading me again?"

Edmund brushed her lips with his thumb, eyes locked on her golden ones. He asked her again, "Do you want to try a few things from this book now, my wife?" Then added softly, "I can help ease your tiredness."

Primrose smiled. "Maybe ask me again ... after you kiss me." freewebnσvel.cѳm

He leaned in and kissed her gently before rolling on top of her.

As always, his kiss worked like magic. In seconds, her exhaustion melted away, and even the soreness in her legs began to fade.

As he pulled back from the kiss, Primrose asked in a whisper, "Should we ask for an extra blanket first ... before things get serious?"

"You mean like a leather mat?" Edmund gave her a faint smile. "Don’t worry, I brought one with us."

"You did?!" Primrose widened her eyes, surprised. "But you didn’t use it when we made love at the first inn."

She clearly remembered how messy and dirty the bed had been after they spent the night there.

Basically, it looked like a huge disaster.

Edmund looked away, slightly embarrassed. "I forgot."

Basically, he forgot because he’d been too eager to undress his wife the moment they arrived.

Primrose let out a soft sigh. "Alright, forget about that." She gently pushed him back and sat up on the bed. "So ... what do you want me to do now?" She glanced at the shop bag on the table. "Actually ... what exactly is inside that thing? You already looked into it, right?"

Edmund nodded. "I have. But maybe... we could look through it together this time?"

Primrose nodded slightly. "Alright, let’s check it together."
