The Lycan king-Chapter 101
*Jax*
"It’s okay, I’ll calm down." Leonora said. "You can all go."
"Including me?" I asked and there was silence. I knew there was no way she would send me off like that.
"Jax, should I give you guys some space?" Bethany asked and i nodded. I was so thankful for Bethany. She had literally done everything to cater to Leonora’s big day and now she was trying to mend our relationship.
"Baby, come here." I said as I opened my arms and she slowly moved into my arms. "You don’t need to cry anymore. I’m here and I’m not leaving you." I didn’t know if what I said was wrong but her tears picked up again. I kissed her head and rubbed her back.
"How about we go and take a bath? I got some people to fix a bath in my bathroom. I noticed you liked it when we were over at your apartment." I said and she bent her head and looked up at me. It was something I wanted to do for her. I thought by now we would have sorted our issues but fate works in mysterious ways. "Do you want to go now?" I asked after she had calmed down.
"What about the guests?" She asked and I chuckled. Trust Leonora to care about the unnecessary things.
"We can have dinner with them another time. I honestly do not care about that right now." I answered and she turned to look at her hands. "Let’s go and have a nice hot bath. Then I can call Micah to send up some food. Would you like to watch something?"
"I think I just want to sleep. I’m so tired and exhausted." She muttered in a slurry voice. "I ate the cake one man was sharing. I think it was an edible."
"Reasons why you don’t eat things from strangers." I said as I pulled her onto my thighs. I adjusted until I was comfortable and I stood up, carrying her along with me. I carried her straight to my room.
I set her on the floor and she stumbled a bit before regaining her balance. She turned around with her arms outstretched. I quickly undid the ropes and she shimmied out of the dress, kicking it over to the side and stepping out of her flats. I made my way over to the bathroom and turned on the hot water to fill up the bath. I immediately put the plug and walked back to meet Leonora seated on the chair.
"Are you okay to talk for a bit?" I asked and she nodded. "I saw what Claire did."
"You did? You didn’t make a move." She said and I nodded. "I thought you didn’t notice."
"Devon walked her out so I thought it was resolved." I admitted. I didn’t think it made any difference seeing as Bethany and Devon were already on the issue. "I got you a wedding gift or rather gifts."
"I didn’t get you anything." She said as she bowed her head. I didn’t expect her to get me anything. It’s not like we were on good terms. "I’m sorry."
"Don’t waste your sorry. Save it for important times." I said and she smiled a bit. I got up and checked the water. The tub was halfway filled so I switched it over to cold water. "You can come to the bathroom." I said as I walked over to the cabinet and pulled out some bath bombs. I threw them into the tub and also squeezed some shower gel into the tub.
I didn’t think this through if not I would have planned better. I heard her footsteps until she got to the door. I turned to look at her as she took off her strapless bra and panties. I turned around to give her a bit of privacy. I walked towards the door but she stopped me.
"Have a bath with me." She said and it took me back to the time I got her back after those grueling three months. We stared at each other intensely as I took off my suit. I didn’t want to waste any second away from her. Immediately I took off my clothes she held my hand and pulled me over to the tub. I checked the water first before she stepped into the tub. I followed suit and we sat down facing each other.
"This feels so good." She said as she relaxed into the water. "Do you really want to see other people?"
I shook my head frantically. "I thought that was what you wanted. You were a bit cold to me after we came back from-"
"You left me, Jax. I wanted to party with you but you pushed me away like I was a random hooker." She said and I thought back to that night. I’ll admit, I wasn’t nice to her at that time. "Then when I got back and saw you waiting, I thought you wanted to talk and sort it out."
"I did but then you stayed out too long and you were acting all cozy with the man that brought you back." I said and she frowned a bit. "You don’t remember?"
"I don’t remember much. I remember throwing up terribly and he stopped to help me. Then he went to get some water and mints." She said as I grabbed her feet and began to massage them.
"Oh I didn’t know about that. I’m honestly sorry for leaving you like that. I didn’t protect you the way I’m meant to and it also shows I’m not secure in our relationship." I admitted. "It’s something I’ve been working on that’s why I offered an open relationship. I thought that was what you wanted and I was really open to it as long as I had you back."
"I love you, Jax. I love you more than anything in this world and I’ve been miserable since we stopped talking." She admitted. "I don’t know why you get jealous of other guys when I’m here carrying your baby."
