The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1346 - 665: Holy King (Part 2)_3
"Archbishop, Qingyu, Peibela, we ascend!"
Horus frowned, "I’ve already checked it, its height is fine."
"How high did you fly?"
"About eight hundred yards, any higher and the gravity is too great, the Spiritual Energy consumption is too high."
"Fly again."
Rod didn’t wait for his answer, he rose into the air, and seconds later, his voice came from above.
"This isn’t a wall! This is a base!"
Everyone was suddenly startled.
A base?
They quickly flew upwards until they reached thirteen hundred yards and saw the end.
At that moment, they realized it was not a wall at all but an immense circular structure.
As Rod said, it was like an unprecedentedly gigantic base.
Its vastness surpassed the limits of human imagination, even giants couldn’t have built something this large.
Rod stood before them, extended his hands, and gently touched the darkness.
"This is not the terror formed by Black Fog, nor the twisted darkness of the Abyss, it just lacks light, I can feel such darkness is peaceful, serene, with a dormant breath, like a mother’s embrace."
The truth that Rod didn’t speak out loud was that it felt like the darkness in the Dream Realm’s Soul Wilderness, dark merely due to the absence of light.
"Archbishop, we can illuminate it."
For the first time, Horus was not shocked or angry due to Rod’s bold words; in fact, after Rod spoke, he felt the same way.
Illuminating these darknesses wouldn’t be a problem.
For some reason, the always cautious Horus raised his hand, and a faint light flew from his fingertip, quickly spreading across the entire space. It wasn’t bright, but it was enough to illuminate everything in front of them.
In that moment, everyone was dumbfounded by the sight before them.
On this massive base was an endlessly gigantic ancient throne, festooned with decayed matter like spiderwebs.
And on the throne was an unimaginable colossal corpse.
It was semi-decayed, the head had turned into eerie white bones, but the body was engulfed in indistinguishable decayed matter, like remnants of the river of time, where the passage of years was vividly displayed.
Yet, even after being dead for tens of millions of years, the majesty of the King remained undiminished, sitting high on the throne, hidden in the darkness. The dim light only illuminated part of it, and the enormous skull, with eye sockets like black holes, watched over them, like a god gazing at countless living beings in the world.
At that moment, the four individuals and the two Dream Realm attendants were speechless.
Even Asa, with countless years of life, and the well-read Book of Knowledge, were startled by such grandeur.
It was unclear how much time passed before Rod recovered from the shock and noticed the inscriptions beneath the throne.
It was written in Dream Realm Language, which was the Divine Language.
"Holy King, Yasi Oushenas, Place of Eternal Rest."
"In darkness and decay, he founded the Fire Epoch, raising a torch to light the future for humanity’s race, breaking the Curse of the Divine, and reforging the Godoyin Sacred Mountain, accomplishing what no gods achieved."
"The Holy King was the perfect human, embodying the full potential of the race, absolutely mastering all domains. Both life and soul were like divine, constantly enhancing his soul and body throughout his thousand-year life, becoming the greatest Spiritual Power User in history. Throughout the universe, few individuals can harness such vast Spiritual Energy, nearly breaking the 17th-level limit."
"In the thousand years after his death, he continued to sustain his existence through unbreakable willpower and the Spirit Throne, endeavoring to protect fragile humanity against the endless battle with Black Fog, until they grew strong."
"After his complete demise, he left his legacy here, hoping to continue guiding humanity."
