The Hunter's Lively Wife-Chapter 2053: Grinding Down
In Mrs. An’s view, the servants of the residence seemed to not take her, the old Madame, seriously at all. On the surface, these servants were respectful to her, but Mrs. An could see that in their hearts, they didn’t regard her as the proper master.
She was the old Madame of the residence, the true head of the household, yet these servants dared to overlook her. She wondered how she would deal with these disrespectful servants in the future.
Mrs. An made up her mind that once she settled down in the house, she would properly discipline the household’s servants and assert her authority. She would start the reorganization with the servants, making sure they all knew who the real master of the house was.
Once the servants were disciplined and behaved, she would then deal with Su Yunjin, who wasn’t easy to handle. Mrs. An couldn’t believe that her son wouldn’t stand up for her at all.
With a bit of scheming, the authority over the household finances would definitely end up in her hands.
Patiently, Mrs. An waited in the house for the return of Gu Ya and his wife. Initially, she thought they would return by noon, but unexpectedly, half the day had passed since noon, and the two still hadn’t returned.
Mrs. An’s patience was wearing thin, and she was becoming irritable.
Finding everything annoying, Mrs. An seized upon the household maids and servants to scold them harshly, causing them all to avoid her and not dare come near.
Mrs. An was even angrier, wondering why these servants acted as if she were a great flood or beast upon seeing her. Was she capable of eating people?
Despite her irritation, Mrs. An didn’t continue scolding the household’s servants. Once she moved in, she would have plenty of time to deal with them at her own pace, gradually disciplining each one until all the servants were obedient.
Su Yunjin and Gu Ya were unaware that Mrs. An had been waiting for them at the residence, nor did they know she planned to move into their home today.
The carriage finally stopped at the Gu Residence, and the two children had woken up. Su Yunjin and Gu Ya decided to first carry the children into their room to sleep, and Su Yunjin instructed the servants to move the silks and pearls bought today to the storeroom.
During lunch with Mrs. Qin and the others today, Miss Tangtang said she wanted to eat tomatoes again. Su Yunjin decided to arrange for the household’s servants to pick a basket of fresh tomatoes in Gu Family’s village to send to Mrs. Qin and the others.
And also send a few jars of tomato sauce to Mrs. Qin and the others.
Mrs. An sat waiting in the side hall for Su Yunjin’s return. Since the servants didn’t dare approach, Mrs. An fell asleep on a chair in the side hall.
Today, Mrs. An scolded anyone she saw at the residence, leaving the servants with no goodwill towards her. Even when Su Yunjin and Gu Ya returned, none of the servants went to inform Mrs. An.
It was only when Mrs. An woke up herself that she realized Su Yunjin and the others had returned.
"You, you, you, what’s wrong with you maids? My son and daughter-in-law have returned, yet you didn’t inform me, the old lady? Don’t want to work anymore? If you don’t, do you believe I can just dismiss you all?"
Mrs. An snorted, her face full of displeasure. Su Yunjin hadn’t been to the reception hall after returning, unaware that Mrs. An had arrived, until a maid reported it, making her aware that Mrs. An had come again today.
