Chapter 2045: Chapter 2045: Easily Deceived

Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya with bright eyes.

Before she could speak, she heard someone at the nearby porcelain stall arguing with the vendor, "Hey, what’s going on with you? Selling me counterfeit goods? Look at this bowl, I just held it and haven’t even taken it home! The color’s already fading."

"I don’t care, pay me back, pay me back. If you don’t compensate me, I’ll take you to report to the officials!" The man shouted about taking the vendor to report, Su Yunjin glanced at the set of porcelain bowls in the man’s hand and indeed saw the fading color around the rims.

Su Yunjin instinctively turned to look at Gu Ya, "Husband, did you know these porcelains would fade beforehand?"

Gu Ya denied, "No, I haven’t bought these porcelains before."

What Gu Ya said was true; he didn’t actually know these porcelains would fade.

Su Yunjin suspiciously stared at Gu Ya; if Gu Ya didn’t know, then why did he stop her just now?

Gu Ya seemed to know what she was thinking and explained, "Yun Niang, the merchants at the dock sell genuine goods, but most also pass off inferior goods as quality ones. Regular customers at the dock know the tricks, only those who don’t come often are deceived."

Su Yunjin was a bit annoyed, thinking Gu Ya was plainly saying she’s easily fooled?

She huffed and turned her head away from Gu Ya, proceeding to browse ahead.

Gu Ya watched his little wife’s angry look with a smile and followed along.

After the lesson with the porcelain, Su Yunjin was now more cautious as she looked at the dock’s goods.

Not everything seemed as novel as it did at first.

Su Yunjin ran ahead and saw a jade stall. The bracelets and Jade Pendants the vendor sold looked quite genuine, and she wanted to check them out.

Thinking of the earlier lesson, Su Yunjin stopped in her tracks, wondering if those things might be fake too?

Considering this possibility, Su Yunjin decided not to go. Beside her, Gu Ya laughed and whispered in her ear, "If you want to look, go ahead! Although there are counterfeit goods here, not everything is fake. No need to be overly cautious."

Gu Ya’s voice was accompanied by a smile, like the morning sunlight, feeling warm and comforting.

Su Yunjin didn’t admit it, "Who said I’m overly cautious? I’m not."

"If you’re not, go look!" Gu Ya didn’t expose his little wife.

Before Su Yunjin could go, a little bundle suddenly ran over and hugged her legs, "Aunt Su, Mom, it’s Aunt Su, it’s really Aunt Su!" Little Tangtang hugged Su Yunjin happily.

Earlier she told Mom she saw Aunt Su, but Mom didn’t believe her. Now Mom has to believe, right? She’s hugging Aunt Su now.

Little Tangtang smiled gleefully; Su Yunjin was surprised to see Madam Qin’s daughter here.

"Tangtang dear, where’s your mom?" Su Yunjin looked up to find Madam Qin. Little Tangtang pointed her delicate hand behind her and said crisply, "Aunt Su, Mom’s behind me!"

Following Little Tangtang’s direction, Su Yunjin looked back and easily spotted Madam Qin walking toward her from the crowd.

Today Madam Qin only brought Little Tangtang out; Su Yunjin didn’t see Madam Qin’s son.

Little Tangtang released her hold on Su Yunjin’s hand and ran toward Madam Qin.

"Mom, Tangtang told you she saw Aunt Su." Little Tangtang smiled adorably.

Madam Qin came over, smiling, "Sister Su, you and Mr. Gu are here too?"
