The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne-Chapter 15: A Childhood Friend and The Descendants of the Transcendents (1)
Chapter 15 - A Childhood Friend and The Descendants of the Transcendents (1)
Inside the Tears of the Dragon restaurant, a woman stared intently at two burly, fierce-looking men.
Her face was stunning—almost flawless. But unlike the delicate beauty of princesses from the Imperial Palace or noble families, hers carried a commanding presence, sharp and decisive—like that of a battle-hardened general.
She stood tall, around 1.73 meters, with a graceful figure, a slender waist, and well-defined curves at her chest and hips.
Dressed in a stunning white gown adorned with golden cloud patterns, she exuded both charm and a heroic aura.
Her silver hair cascaded down her back, catching the sunlight that streamed through the restaurant windows, gleaming with a soft radiance.
The woman's accusations left the two burly men visibly embarrassed, yet their anger and hatred were impossible to miss.
"You can't accuse us without proof!" The burly man on the left growled. "Show us the evidence, or we'll report you to the soldiers and guards of the capital!"
"That's right, miss! Don't throw around baseless accusations!" His comrade added, his expression fierce.
But the woman remained unmoved by their threats.
Turning to a petite woman beside her, she asked gently, "Are you sure they stole it?"
The shorter woman nodded firmly, glaring at the two men with righteous fury.
"Yes! They did! They stole it!" she said, pointing at them without hesitation, undeterred by their towering presence.
She wasn't afraid. With so many people around, if the two men dared to make a move, they'd be thrown in jail on the spot.
What's more, the presence of the beautiful woman by her side gave her a sense of security and strength, emboldening her further.
"You..."
The burly man on the left seethed with fury at the accusation, but he knew they couldn't do anything about it.
He exchanged a nervous glance with his comrade, who looked equally unsettled.
There was no escaping the truth—they had stolen the woman's purse.
At first, they'd been confident they would get away without being caught.
What they hadn't anticipated was that the woman had seen them and immediately screamed, drawing attention from the crowd.
To make matters worse, this beautiful woman—who seemed to have appeared from nowhere—had defended the victim, complicating the situation even more.
"Hand it over, or I'll report you to the capital's guards," the beautiful woman warned, her eyes narrowing as she glared at them.
A subtle pressure filled the air, and the two men felt a wave of fear wash over them, making their bodies tremble.
For some reason, they sensed that if they kept denying it, the consequences would be severe.
With a grimace, the burly man on the left reached into his pocket, pulled out a blue purse, and placed it on the table.
"We give up," he muttered, his voice resigned.
The victim grinned widely as she snatched the purse.
"Huh! I knew you two stole it," she sneered, her tone cold.
The two men's expressions hardened as they glared at her, their eyes filled with hatred.
Seeing this, the woman's fear surged, and she quickly hid behind the beautiful woman who was protecting her.
"Since you've confessed, it's time to go to jail," the beautiful woman said, her tone icy.
"What!?" The two men were stunned. "But we gave you the purse! Why are we still being thrown in jail?"
The beautiful woman offered a small, knowing smile. "Because you're the culprits. Even though you've confessed, legally, you're still guilty."
Her words struck them like a blow. They glanced around and saw people whispering and casting them disdainful looks.
After a brief moment, they exchanged a glance before suddenly turning and fleeing the restaurant.
"Think you can run away?" The beautiful woman sneered coldly. "Hmph! Do you really think it's going to be that simple?"
Almost immediately, four guards clad in silver armor appeared outside, blocking their escape.
"Wait! Don't arrest us! We're guilty!"
"Yes, we admit it! Please, don't do this!"
The two men pleaded desperately, but the guards remained unmoved, their faces as cold as stone.
Without saying a word, they grabbed the two men and dragged them away from the restaurant.
The scene had drawn the attention of everyone in the restaurant, especially the other customers.
They watched the beautiful woman with admiration in their eyes, murmuring in awe.
"Thank you for saving me! I was so nervous earlier!" The short woman bowed deeply, her face glowing with gratitude.
The beautiful woman smiled and waved her hand. "No need to thank me. Helping those in need is just the right thing to do."
Her tone was humble, but to everyone around, her words were nothing short of inspiring.
In a time when many people chose to turn a blind eye and avoid getting involved, the beautiful woman's actions were a rare sight—one that clearly earned their admiration.
Just then, a lazy voice came from behind her.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Evalyn, you really are brave. Facing two burly men like that, you didn't flinch at all."
At the sound of that familiar voice, Evalyn's body stiffened. She turned around quickly and met Nolan's mischievous gaze.
"Nolan!?"

Inside the VIP room, Nolan, Eliza, and Evalyn sat comfortably on cushioned chairs, surrounded by a feast of spectacular dishes laid out before them.
The table was filled with oyster sauce squid, four marinated lamb drumsticks in sweet and sour sauce, minced horse meat with a dash of soy sauce, and an assortment of other mouth-watering dishes.
Each dish was mouth-watering, enough to instantly stir the appetites of all three.
Evalyn grabbed a glass of beer and drank it down in one gulp.
"Fwahh! This beer is the best!" Evalyn exclaimed with a satisfied grin, slamming the half-empty glass down onto the table.
Watching her carefree attitude, Nolan rolled his eyes in mild exasperation. He picked up a lamb drumstick and placed it on Eliza's plate.
"You're a woman. Can't you act a little more ladylike?" He chided, shaking his head helplessly.
Eliza bit into the lamb drumstick, her eyes curving into crescents as the tender meat, combined with the sweet and sour sauce, melted in her mouth.
Though she had tasted many delicacies in the palace, nothing compared to the flavor of this lamb drumstick!
The meat was perfectly soft, and the flavor was so tantalizing that Eliza couldn't help but eat more with relish. freewёbnoνel.com
Meanwhile, Evalyn bristled at Nolan's blunt comment. She snorted coldly and took another sip of her beer.
"Humph! Your words are harsh, Nolan. Now I see why you don't have any girlfriends."
Nolan merely smiled, stabbing a piece of stir-fried beef and taking a bite. "That's not important. I can live just fine without a woman."
Though his tone was casual, his words were genuine. After dying in an accident in his past life, he had lost interest in anything related to romance.
It wasn't that he was gay; he simply desired a life of freedom, unburdened by any ties.
As long as Elina, her mother, and those she cared about were safe and happy, that was enough for him. Power and ambition meant nothing to him.
His words left Evalyn momentarily silent. She studied Nolan's calm expression before offering a weak smile.
"You really haven't changed at all, have you, Nolan?"
Nolan didn't respond, simply continuing to enjoy his meal.
After a moment, Evalyn shifted the topic. "By the way, is it true that your father just announced the succession?"
