’Holy fucking shit! 45 thousand points just from killing those knightmares? Well, I mean, they were pretty strong, but still! Also, why does it say that I killed 200 Kobolds? Did I really kill that many? Sure, I wasn’t keeping count, but it didn’t feel like that much. Whatever, I’m not gonna complain.’
He looked at the total points he had.
[SP - 48,605]
"Damn. I could get some new skills with this amount of cash! But I don’t need to. I won’t give in to temptation. I need to save these points. I’m strong enough as it stands right now. I’ll only get cheap skills and abilities if needed."
"Mmmnnnnn, Kai?" Gwen yawned, stretching her arms.
"Oh, you’re up. I expected you to be in bed for a few more hours."
"Yeah, so did I. I mean, you fucked me until the sun came up. I barely got any sleep. But I don’t feel tired at all."
"Ahh." He nodded. "I was healing you all night so you could keep going. So your body might not feel as fatigued."
They both got up, used [Clean], then got ready to start their day. When they walked out of their room, they saw Annabeth and Tyria waiting for them, both of their faces flushed.
"What’s up with you two?" Kai asked
"N-Nothing." Tyria blushed even harder
"You do know these walls are thin, right?" Annabeth asked, looking slightly annoyed
"Yeah. Why?"
"You!" She exhaled. "Nothing. Let’s go. I heard that Tyria wants to see the Hero’s Sword before leaving this village."
Gwen smiled. "If you wanted to join, you could have asked."
Annabeth’s face turned completely red. "I DIDN’T WANT TO JOIN ANYTHING!" She yelled, garnering the attention of others. "Ahem. I mean, no, no thank you."
"Hehe, your loss."
It would be a lie if Tyria and Annabeth said that they weren’t curious about what happened in Kai’s room. After all, he was an attractive man who was extremely powerful. Also, to make a woman scream the way Gwen did for hours on end meant that he had to have been a real man. At least in their heads.
’Dammit! They were fucking so much last night that I can’t stop thinking about it! Noo, I’m getting wet!’ Annabeth thought to herself.
Kai leaned forward into her ear. "You might be next if I’m feeling it."
She didn’t answer, but Kai didn’t need one. He saw how red she got and the slight pause she took. freewёbnoνel-com
’I just came.’ Annabeth sighed.
---
There were tons of people on the mountain that led to the hero’s tomb, where the sword was kept. All around them, people were hiking up the mountain, setting up camp, asking questions as if they were reporters, or were just there to watch others fail or maybe succeed.
"It’s crowded." Gwen noticed
"It’s the tomb of the first hero. Of course, it’s going to be crowded." Tyria couldn’t contain her excitement and started running up and down the path.
"Nooo! I was so close! I felt it! One more chance! I just need one more chance!" A man yelled in desperation.
"Move along, pal. You had your chance already. You know the rules: one attempt every three months. Now make way for the next person." A guard spoke.
"Royal Guards?" Gwen asked
"That’s right. Since this place is pretty much sacred, the King of the kingdom during the time of the first hero’s death made a royal decree to make this place guarded to prevent anyone from stealing the sword or other sacred items here." Tyria explained
"It’s also a good money-making scheme." Annabeth pointed out.
Soon, the group made it to the long line of people who were waiting their turn to attempt pulling out the First Hero’s sword.
"Damn, this is gonna take a while." Kai sighed
"But it will be sooooo worth it!" Tyria jumped up in excitement
"Are you even going to attempt to pull the sword?" He asked
She shook her head. "No, just being here is good enough."
"What about you two?" He turned to Gwen and Annabeth.
"I’m fine with being Lady Tyria’s guard." Annabeth smiled.
"I have no interest in using another hero’s power. I want to become that strong on my own. I do plan on entering the Hero Academy after all." Gwen reminded him.
"Huh, guess it’s just me then." Kai shrugged and continued watching people leave the tomb entrance with their pride broken.
"I bet you’ll be able to pull the sword." Annabeth nudged his arm. "You’re pretty strong."
Kai laughed. "Yeah, and I’m sure countless people over the years who were stronger than me all thought the same, then failed to do so."
"Fair enough." She smiled.
The four of them waited for a solid three hours before it was finally Kai’s turn to enter the tomb.
"Okay, guys, wish me luck."
"You got this, Kai!"
"Don’t pull a muscle in there."
"Good luck." Gwen kissed him.
"Ha, look at that guy. Trying to impress them girls." A man who failed scoffed.
"1 gold on him failing." His buddy bet.
"3 gold!" The man countered.
"5 gold he fails and acts as if being a hero is beneath him, and those girls blindly accept his bullshit answer."
"Deal!"
Gwen, Tyria, and Annabeth all looked at the men as if they were stupid creatures.
When Kai entered the tomb, it was as if he were taken to another dimension. The walls were made of smooth stone laced with gold. Chests full of the first hero’s souvenirs were placed on display, and his wealth was in chests that would be claimed by the person who could pull the sword.
And as for the sword, it was resting inside a pedestal that rose above the ground, its handle glowing, and the sword radiating power.
"What is this? Exaliber or something?"
Kai walked over to the sword, grabbed its hilt, then pulled it out.
"The fuck?"
