Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend-Chapter 623 - 174: Fairy Tale Revisited, Astounding Masterstroke (Part 3)
In the distance, towering buildings came into view. The spire of the church soared into the clouds, shimmering with golden light under the sun. This church, which was hard for Ian to identify, seemed even more splendid than the Royal Palace.
On top of it was a dazzling golden wheel.
I have no idea what kind of sect that symbolizes.
The carriage continued forward.
It slowly stopped in front of the magnificent Royal Palace, a palace built with massive stones, imposing, solemn, and splendid. In front of the palace gates, two attendants dressed in luxurious attire had been waiting for a long time. They seemed to have been informed in advance, for as soon as the carriage stopped, they immediately stepped forward and graciously opened the carriage door for Ian.
"Honored guest, welcome from afar, answering the King’s call." The attendants’ voices were gentle and respectful, as if they were honored by Ian’s arrival.
Wanting to ask how welcome he was, Ian felt it might be too mischievous, as he was now maintaining an enigmatic wizard demeanor.
"I can’t wait to claim your reward."
Ian ultimately chose a more appropriate and seemingly confident response. This statement indeed made the attendants happily usher him into the Royal Palace.
On the plaza in front of the Royal Palace, fountains were gushing, and flowerbeds were in bloom, everything appeared so harmonious and beautiful.
Led by the attendants, Ian passed through the gates and stepped into the interior of the Royal Palace. The decor was luxurious, dazzling, with every piece of art revealing the artisans’ exquisite skill and pursuit of beauty.
Artistic cells have evolved into art bacteria of such aesthetics.
"It’s like being in a fairy tale."
Ian mused to himself.
Entering the main hall.
In the hall of the Royal Palace, the King and Queen were waiting for Ian’s arrival. They sat on high thrones, dressed in splendid royal robes, with glittering crowns, appearing noble and extraordinary.
"Is this the wizard who arrived amidst the ’Sky’s Roar’ bringing the gale?" The King’s gaze was eager, he and his subjects clearly didn’t understand the concept of a sonic boom.
"That’s a nice title."
Ian was quite pleased with the compliment.
"Honorable Wizard, welcome to my kingdom." The King’s voice was deep and powerful, full of majesty and sincerity; he even walked down to embrace Ian proactively.
"I am here for the reward."
Ian remembered what the gatekeeper had mentioned.
"Of course, of course..."
The King was not annoyed.
He spoke slowly with a heavy tone.
"To be honest, my Queen and I have been married for many years, and in old age, we finally had a daughter. However, the evil Witch did not allow us to enjoy this joy for long."
"Perhaps because I did not invite that evil Witch to the Princess’s feast in the kingdom. She is a Black Witch, different from the other twelve witches in my kingdom."
"I was worried she might have conflicts with the other witches, so I didn’t invite her. Unexpectedly, she resented us and cast a terrible curse on our daughter."
"It was a threat of death... Fortunately, a kind witch helped us slightly alter the curse, giving our daughter a slim chance of survival."
"From death to sleep... Seven full years, she has not awakened." The King narrated the situation and information like an NPC.
"???????"
The Little Wizard initially was simply bewildered, noticing that these people didn’t know they were already dead, even before he considered whether to reveal this fact directly.
The King continued speaking.
He listened more and more feeling something was amiss, more and more feeling familiar. Twelve good witches plus a Black Witch, and then paired with a princess who fell into a slumber due to a curse?
Isn’t this the story of "Sleeping Beauty"!
"You want to awaken your daughter, right?" Ian realized what he was experiencing, and immediately understood the reason behind the King’s so-called reward notice.
"Exactly."
The King nodded.
His Queen also spoke with sorrow.
"Time is passing, we are aging, drawing closer to death, but our daughter is still alive, we want to see her regain a new life."
The Queen tearfully said with sincerity.
"No problem!"
Ian had quite some research on curses, and if strength couldn’t break Sleeping Beauty’s curse, he could definitely find a dozen princes by flipping through other regions of the Misty Illusion Realm.
The Little Wizard still remembered how the sleeper was awakened.
"Oh, by the way, where is that Black Witch? Is she living nearby? Let me see if I can capture her for study. Of course, if you can also give me the addresses of the other twelve witches, that would be best."
Ian didn’t know why the people of this kingdom still thought they were alive, he could only guess this somewhat abnormal situation he saw was definitely related to the Wizard.
"The Witch’s residence?"
The King seemed a bit hesitant.
"It’s all for saving your daughter, Your Majesty, rest assured, leave it to me, there won’t be any hidden dangers." Ian eagerly said.
"..."
The King listened more and felt something was off.
"You... you wouldn’t be a Dark Wizard, would you?"
His gaze was slightly strange as he probed.
"???????"
The Little Wizard felt the King was being overly cautious. With his honest and helpful nature, where could a Black Wizard be seen from?
