Chapter 56: Revenge

"N-No way!" Annabeth stood up, touching her body and clenching her fists. She could feel mana flowing through her body. "The pain, the pain is all gone!" She examined her body and saw that she was completely healed.

She didn’t even know how to react. She was certain that her life was over. Even if she didn’t die in this dungeon, she wouldn’t be able to live the same life as she had before. But now, now she was back.

"Annabeth!" Tyria hugged Annabeth while sobbing like a baby.

"Nice job." Gwen elbowed Kai.

"It was nothing." Kai shrugged.

"Excuse me? May I have your name? I can’t thank you enough for healing me back to the way I once was. I’ll do anything to repay this favor. Please, say the word." She was so thankful that tears were running down her face.

"Anything, huh?" Of course, Kai’s first thought was sex, but he couldn’t do that to her. ’I bet she’ll like this offer instead.

"How about you help me kill every Knightmare here?" He asked with a smirk.

Annabeth’s bloodlust raged. She was furious at the ones who tortured her. She previously thought she wouldn’t be able to get revenge, but now, back in her prime, with a powerful person by her side, she wanted to slaughter every single Knightmare here.

"I’ll gladly help you slaughter those fucking bastards! Especially after what they did to me!" She growled, clenching her fists so tight that they started to bleed.

"Good." Kai tossed her some spare clothes for women he had and gave her a sword.

"We’ll find a way out of here and wait for you outside the place," Gwen announced.

"Nah, I’ve got a better idea." Kai could not only teleport himself, but also people and objects to places he’s been before. Because they were under his hypnosis, this meant that they were linked to his mana, so when he waved his hand, they were teleported back to their room in Highgrove village.

Annabeth jumped back and placed her sword between her and Kai. "What did you do to them?" She demanded

"Relax, I just sent them back to Highgrove village. This way, they’ll be safe while we go on a rampage."

She was going to ask more questions, but Kai told her that he would explain later.

"For now, we have to do two things." He said

"What are they?" She wondered

"First, I gotta get in your head." He hypnotized her.

"Second, let’s go kill some Knightmares!"

---

"And that’s what happened." No.13 explained to the Captain.

The captain stood up from his chair, and the sound of it hitting the ground echoed through the room as he stared into No. 13’s eyes in disbelief.

"You caught her? You really caught her?! This is good news! No. This is great news! Good work, 13, you will be rewarded for your hard work!"

Just then, No.4 entered the room. "Reporting to the Captain, sir!"

"Speak."

"I’ve secured the prisoners in the dungeon, and they are awaiting your arrival."

The captain smirked hard. "Good, good! I’ll see them right away!"

"Yes, sir!"

The three of them left the room and headed to the dungeon. On the way, they passed by the lobby where every Knightmare was gathered, looking confused among themselves.

"What are you all doing? Why are you all just standing there like lost children?" The captain asked in annoyance. He knew that everyone had things to do and couldn’t waste time on simply socializing.

The knightmares looked at each other before looking at the Captain.

"Did you call us here, Sir?" They asked

The captain was confused. "Huh? What are you talking about? I never called for anyone."

"T-Then who-" A blade pierced his throat before he could finish talking.

"N-No.13?" Everyone questioned, jumping back in shock.

"What’s the meaning of this?!" The captain yelled in anger, but before he could stop No.13, No.4 attacked him. Because of his strength, the captain was easily able to block the sneak attack.

"You too?!" He kicked No.4 back. "Does anyone else want to show their true colors?!"

No one answered. All of the knightmares jumped over to their captain’s side and held their blades toward No.4 and 13.

"Good. Now, let’s kill these traitors!" The capital yelled

"Can I join in?"

"Who said-"

Kai kicked the captain in the back, and he crashed into a wall. Annabeth coated her sword with mana, and as if she were dancing, cleaved her way through a good portion of the knightmares, easily chopping off their heads.

"W-Wha’t going on?!"

"Hold up! That’s Tyria’s guard Annabeth."

"The fuck?! How did she escape?!"

"That’s what you’re worried about, man? Dude, how the fuck is she completely fine after all the torture we put her through?"

"Oh shit, you’re right!"

She grinned. "You don’t understand the amount of pain you put me through." She cracked her neck. "For that, none of you are leaving here alive!" She attacked once more, cutting down everyone in her path.

"No.4, No.13, help her," Kai ordered. "I’ll handle their boss."

Kai looked at the spot where the Captain was, but didn’t see him inside the wall anymore. His senses went off, and so he used his sword to block an attack aimed at his neck.

"There you are!" Kai smirked

"Who the hell are you?"

"The hidden master!" He grinned

The captain’s eyes widened in shock. He read the reports and knew about the hidden master. He never expected him to be here, though.

The captain jumped back, but Kai was faster, slamming his fist into the man’s gut.

"Bleghhhh!" The captain looked up, but Kai was gone. A punch connected with his back, kniging him away. He shifted his body, swinging behind him, but nothing was there.

Kai, flying above the man, kicked him hard into the ground.

*Cough Cough* "You’re strong. But can you block this attack?!" The captain put all his power into his sword, charging up his most powerful attack. The blade hummed, and it burst into flames.

The room temperature rose, causing everyone to start sweating, and the captain’s power surged.

Kai just smiled, motioning for the captain to come to him.

"Tsk! I’ll make you regret that! Secret art, Burning Slash!" He blasted forward and swung his sword with everything he had. The destruction was devastating, splitting the ceiling and ground beneath them while the flames were so hot that the stone started melting.

"Hahaha! How do you like that?! You shouldn’t have let me use my secret art!" ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"Really now?"

The captain paused, his body frozen in shock. The smoke cleared, and Kai was still standing there, completely unharmed. And to make matters worse, he blocked the captain’s attack with a single finger.

"Since I blocked your attack, it’s only fair you block my own, right?"

The captain wanted to cry. If his most powerful attack was easily blocked with a finger, then he knew he was fucked beyond belief. So, he ran. He ran as fast as he could.

"Secret art, middle finger flick." Kai flicked his middle finger, and the entire place exploded.
