The Herb King-Chapter 287 - Mischievous Olivia
287 Mischievous Olivia
The group found an empty spot at the right corner of the restaurant. They were on the second floor and they could see the people below through the glass wall. After a while, they ordered some food and drinks.
“Are these young ones the participants of the Leone Empire?” Eliazar asked as he looked at Alec’s group. Their power could already be compared to the top talents of the major powers.
“That’s right. What do you think of them?” Aethelwolf smiled lightly. These young elites were trained strictly in the last month and they even joined Ramiel’s army in attacking some bandit lairs. At this moment, the area around Barden Territory was already free from criminals.
“They are strong for their age, but the other participants are not weaker than them. In the Zion Empire, they have the son of General Gilbert Holt, William Holt. That young man is already at the mid stage of Level 3! However, the most formidable young talent in the Regalis Continent is the Crown Princess of the Azure Phoenix Empire, Princess Altina Azure. She is only twenty years old, but she is already a Level 4 Esper!” Eliazar muttered with a smile. He knew that Aethelwolf didn’t want these young elites to become arrogant.
Alec and the others gasped when they heard this information. They thought that Olivia was the strongest in the younger generation of the Regalis Continent. Who would have thought that there was actually someone on the same level as her?
Olivia was now a Level 4 Esper. Although Aethelwolf didn’t allow her to join the competition, she was given more resources than the participants. In the Barden Territory, she always sparred with the mysterious Shadow Guards, making her strength advance by leaps and bounds.
Truthfully, Aethelwolf could list her name as one of the participants, but he wanted to give the others this opportunity.
Soon, their food arrived and everyone chatted as they enjoyed their meal.
While the group was eating, a loud shout that resonated in the skies suddenly interrupted them.
.....
“Papa, I’m here! Where are you?!” It was the mischievous voice of a young girl.
After hearing this familiar voice, Aethelwolf’s eyes widened and he almost fell from his chair. “That brat!” He muttered as he quickly left the restaurant. He didn’t even bother to tell everyone what was going on, making them feel surprised.
“What happened? Who is that little girl?” Eliazar asked as he looked at Aethelwolf who was hastily walking out of the restaurant.
General Trevor was also curious about this.
“It must be Olivia. She is the teacher’s adopted daughter and also the strongest young talent of the Leone Empire.” Janrose muttered helplessly. She was very familiar with Olivia’s unruliness and she could already imagine the disaster she would cause in West Ocean City. She believed that this was the reason why her teacher didn’t list her name as one of the participants in the competition.
Alec and the others chuckled and continued eating.
“So even Sir Aethelwolf has days like these...” Eliazar laughed lightly after hearing Janrose’s words.
General Trevor didn’t say anything but everyone could see that he was suppressing his laughter.
Meanwhile, Aethelwolf was already outside the restaurant. He raised his head and saw Olivia who was riding a Level 4 Gryphon. There was also another person with her. It was Einar. He had a helpless smile on his face as he commanded his Gryphon to fly down. Einar had already noticed Aethelwolf’s figure so he urged his mount to descend to his location.
As soon as the Gryphon landed, Olivia excitedly jumped down from its back. She then waved her small arms as she skipped toward Aethelwolf. Her joyous giggles echoed in the streets. “Papa! I’m here!”
Aethelwolf could only smile helplessly at the little devil.
Olivia jumped into his arms and hugged his neck like a tiny koala.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay in the castle? Why did you come here?” Aethelwolf ruffled her hair as he looked at her with a stern gaze.
Olivia pouted as she answered honestly. “I don’t like to study so I escaped with Grandpa Einar!”
Hearing this, Aethelwolf shook his head. He then turned his gaze to Einar and said. “Since you’re here. You should come with us. As for your mount, the Shadow Guards will take it later.”
Einar bowed his head lightly. “Yes, King Aethelwolf.”
Aethelwolf brought them to the restaurant and he introduced the two to General Trevor and Eliazar. “This is my daughter, Olivia. And this is her Grandpa Einar.”
Eliazar and General Trevor stared at the little girl in Aethelwolf’s arms and they narrowed their eyes when they sensed her power.
Mid stage Level 4 Esper! She was even stronger than the Crown Princess of the Azure Phoenix Empire!
Olivia was wearing her new Divine-Rated necklace that was inscribed with the Bloodline Concealing Rune. Even top experts like Eliazar and the old general failed to discover her identity.
As for Einar, he has the aura of a Level 4 Esper, but both Eliazar and General Trevor felt that he was no ordinary expert.
“Sir Aethelwolf, you have a very talented daughter.” General Trevor smiled in praise.
“Indeed.” Eliazar nodded in agreement.
“Enough of that. Stop praising her or she might become arrogant.” Aethelwolf said as he grabbed a seat for Olivia. After making her sit down, he sat beside her.
“Papa, that grandpa looks funny. His head is so shiny. Hehe.” Olivia whispered as she sneakily pointed at General Trevor.
General Trevor almost choked when he heard her words. Meanwhile, Eliazar laughed loudly as he said. “Young lady, that old grandpa is a formidable figure. He is a Level 5 Esper!”
Olivia snorted at his words and said with absolute confidence. “Papa is so much stronger than mnn-!”
Aethelwolf quickly covered her mouth with his hands and said with an awkward look. “Please forgive her. I didn’t teach her well.”
Eliazar grabbed his belly as he laughed. This girl was so entertaining. Even General Trevor couldn’t help but smile at her antics.
