The Heiress Spoiled by Four Brothers and One Devilish CEO-Chapter 113 You’re Seriously Too Eye-Catching
Megan tucked a few stray hairs behind her ear, making sure everything was on point.
She reached under the passenger seat, opened a hidden compartment, and pulled out a paper bag. Inside was a chest binder, which she wrapped around herself.
Next came a crisp white shirt, dark tailored suit, a Hermes belt, and a perfectly knotted tie.
She slipped off her rings and dropped them into her pocket, changed into a Rolex encrusted with diamonds, then slid on a pair of handmade elevator shoes for some extra height.
From her blazer pocket, she pulled out a one-centimeter magnet chip and stuck it behind her ear.
As she spoke a few test lines, her voice was instantly replaced by a deep, magnetic male tone.
Mia had teased her endlessly about those custom shoes when she first ordered them, claiming she had a thing for petite-footed men.
She even joked you could tell a guy’s... endowment based on his shoe size.
Basically, she thought the man Megan liked couldn’t be that impressive.
After the recent fashion competition, Mia wouldn’t let it go and kept asking who Megan had a crush on back then.
Considering Tristan’s height, build, and foot size—definitely a few sizes up from those shoes—he was the full package.
And Megan? She just loved watching Mia go nuts trying to guess.
Even though Tristan had stopped monitoring her car and phone, he still had people tailing her from the shadows. So she drove fast into the campus and ditched them.
Once she reached a spot with no cameras, she got out and hopped into a black Rolls-Royce waiting nearby.
The bodyguards thought she’d gone into one of the buildings and didn’t follow. They just stayed parked nearby, watching.
Inside the car, Megan flipped through the contract, her slender fingers turning each page with care. "A fifty-fifty split works. No future profit disputes. Arthur, well played—just how I wanted it."
The young man driving grinned at her in the rearview mirror. "Thanks, Miss... I mean, thanks, Mr. Haynes."
"You know what happens when you mess up like that?" Megan shot him a chilly look. "Everyone’s got their eyes on Wanlong right now—it’s like a gold mine. The Lewis family was holding its own against the Bennette and Channing families, even gaining a bit of an edge. But then Cloud Robinson teamed up with them, shifting the balance in their favor. Lewis and the Reid family may be allies, but truth is, Reid’s never had any plans to share their spoils. Now Lewis’s stuck—they can’t ask for help outright. Too messy. Unless they reach out first, Tristan won’t lift a finger. Us offering help now? We’re stepping right into the spotlight. If my cover slips up... I’m toast."
Arthur tensed, beads of sweat forming on his back. He nodded quickly. "Got it, Mr. Haynes."
Megan glanced at her watch. With a class lasting ninety minutes and forty minutes eaten up by the round trip, she’d have fifty clear minutes to talk business with Oliver.
They pulled into the parking lot below the Lewis Group building.
Arthur, dapper in a sharp suit, got out quickly and opened the back door.
A gleaming pair of leather shoes hit the ground with quiet authority.
Megan stepped out, adjusting her expensive tie with a practiced hand.
She was finally going to experience—out in the open—that rush of wearing a suit, radiating confidence, and ruling the business world.
Three years ago, under the alias "Blackwing," she’d made her first serious money through not-so-clean methods—including rerouting $200 million straight from Tristan’s account.
And that’s what funded her first company: LX.
Later, as Lila Moore, she officially became LX’s lead designer.
In just one year, LX climbed the ranks to become one of the world’s top three luxury brands. The following year, she set up another company called NexusStar, diving into real estate and biotech investments.
Her investment choices were on point, her business empire growing like crazy, with more cash cows than she could count on both hands, and annual profits soaring past 10 billion.
Such rapid expansion naturally drew the eyes—and some fear—of the business heavyweights.
What really got under their skin was that NexusStar wasn’t just growing, it was straight-up gobbling up smaller firms.
But the real kicker? No one could figure out who was running the show behind NexusStar.
This person moved like a ghost—untraceable, always one step ahead—ready to strike when everyone let their guard down.
Megan stood at 170cm, but with her size 40 height-boosting dress shoes, she easily passed for 178.
She strode confidently through the doors of the Lewis Corporation, Arthur right behind her carrying a sleek black briefcase.
In her sharp men’s suit, Megan—now "Landon Haynes"—turned heads all over the lobby. She wasn’t tall, but her sharp features and classy aura made more than a few women stop and stare.
Arthur whispered, "Boss, you’re seriously too eye-catching."
Megan chuckled. "You’ll get used to it."
Arthur (in his head): [Born confident, huh?]
The receptionist, who clearly noted their out-of-the-ordinary presence, came over quickly. "Hello, sir. Do you have an appointment?"
Megan stopped, locking eyes with the sweet-looking receptionist. "Yes. Name’s Landon Haynes."
The receptionist’s smile widened. So this was the infamous CEO of NexusStar? Not gonna lie, total eye candy.
She immediately gestured politely. "Right this way, Mr. Haynes."
She led Megan and Arthur to the exec-only elevator.
Pressing the button, the receptionist bowed slightly. "Wishing NexusStar and Lewis a successful meeting."
As the doors closed, Megan threw a playful wink her way. "Thanks."
The receptionist leaned slightly against the wall, her heart doing backflips. This guy was oozing charm—straight walking hormone.
As the elevator climbed, Arthur smirked. "Seriously, boss, women really can’t resist you."
Megan let out a small laugh. "If I ever went into showbiz, all those boyband kids wouldn’t stand a chance."
Arthur: Okay, I’m just gonna pretend I didn’t hear that.
They reached the 88th floor, and the elevator doors slid open to reveal two figures.
Oliver stood there, strikingly handsome, a rare soft smile spreading across his usually steely face.
He extended a firm hand. "Mr. Haynes, I’ve heard a lot about you."
Megan stepped out and returned the handshake. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Lewis."
Oliver gestured forward. "This way, please."
She walked beside him, Arthur falling in step with Shane behind them.
Inside the lounge, Shane poured tea for both Megan and Oliver.
Megan settled into the couch, leaning back slightly, legs crossed with natural poise. She lifted a hand.
Arthur pulled out the contract from his case—two copies, placing one before Megan and the other before Oliver.
Taking the pen, Megan signed smoothly. "This outlines our partnership for the Wanlong land. Its value isn’t just in its price today—the future potential is enormous. If we manage this port development and later operations well, it could turn into one of the country’s prime container hubs and a major route for imports and exports."
Oliver flipped through the contract before signing his name too.
He nodded. "Exactly. We had our eye on that piece of land ever since it went up for auction. The central area’s perfect for upscale seaside housing. It’s just the right distance from the shore—no shaky foundations, no collapse risks. That’s why it’s so valuable. Demand’s gonna shoot through the roof."
