The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 219 Yu Baishuo’s Collection_1
In the afternoon, Li Qing had been helping Tian Yue’e, and Wu Xingxing did not go back either.
The greenhouse was bustling with activity, as four women chatted away, providing Li Qing with quite the visual feast.
However, with so many eyes around, Li Qing didn’t dare make any improper moves.
If Han Mei and Tian Yue’e saw him getting too close to Yang Xuelan or Wu Xingxing, that would definitely not end well.
By evening, Li Qing had loaded a cart with Wenguan Leaves and vegetables.
The vegetables were to be delivered to a shop in town, while the Wenguan Leaves were for Yu Baishuo.
These days, the Wenguan tender leaves were becoming increasingly scarce, and Li Qing was virtually making deliveries every other day.
The frequency of deliveries for the vegetables from Tian Yue’e’s greenhouse was about the same.
Li Qing simply decided to deliver both at the same time, to save himself an extra trip.
At the small storefront with a surprisingly large warehouse, Yu Baishuo was grimacing with pain as she rubbed her waist.
After parking the cart, Li Qing saw her in pain and asked with concern, "Sister Yu, what happened to you?"
"Had a fight with that useless guy at home, hit the wall," Yu Baishuo said calmly.
Li Qing was taken aback, "Serious? How did you end up fighting?"
While talking, he peered into the warehouse, trying to see if Yu Baishuo’s husband was around.
He had been to Yu Baishuo’s place countless times, but never once had he seen her husband.
"Stop looking, he’s not here," Yu Baishuo waved her hand dismissively, "bring in the goods yourself and put them on the scale, I can’t seem to muster much strength in my waist."
Li Qing responded and brought in the small amount of Wenguan Leaves, while asking, "Sister Yu, you’re injured, how can your husband not be here?"
"He probably didn’t even see that I hurt my waist. No matter, it’s probably just a graze," Yu Baishuo said with a light huff.
"What... was it about?" Li Qing asked.
"Nothing much, just a few words exchanged," Yu Baishuo waved her hand, clearly not too willing to talk about it.
She slowly bent over to check the electronic scale and said, "Only nineteen pounds in two days, Qingzi, your production has been getting worse and worse! If you continue like this, it won’t be good."
"Can’t help it, this stuff just grows too slowly, and with the trend towards a dry summer this year, it’s even slower," Li Qing said helplessly, "but in about ten more days, we should be able to harvest another batch of tender leaves."
"You need to figure out how to expand your channels and lay a larger groundwork. The price for this stuff is still pretty good right now. Take the opportunity and make a profit first," Yu Baishuo sighed and suggested.
Li Qing nodded, "I’ve been working on that recently, but it needs some time."
He was indeed working on it and even had some personal motives in mind.
Lü Zong only wanted the large leaves, and the tender leaves from the several villages he had newly dealt with were all booked by Li Qing.
Yu Baishuo gasped softly and reached for the calculator.
Seeing Sister Yu in obvious pain, Li Qing offered, "Sister Yu, if it’s okay with you, I can take a look for you."
"Then you... have a look and see what’s wrong, it really hurts," Yu Baishuo said with a hint of embarrassment, softly speaking as she lifted her wide gingham shirt from behind her waist.
The shirt, almost like a dress, reached down to the middle of her thighs, revealing a pair of creamy white legs, almost as if she was wearing just a shirt.
It wasn’t until she lifted her shirt that Li Qing noticed she was wearing shorts underneath.
But they were very short, about the length of the waistband of boxer shorts.
"How is it?" Yu Baishuo asked.
Only then did Li Qing hurriedly focus his attention on Yu Baishuo’s waist.
On her slightly fleshy, pale waist, there were two scratch marks that looked as if they had been inflicted by a cat.
"It’s not very serious, but it’s also not minor, the skin’s been scraped. Sister Yu, do you have iodine here? I can help you wipe it, then cover it lightly with gauze so it doesn’t get irritated by clothing. It should stop hurting then," Li Qing said.
"Iodine? It’s upstairs, I’ll get it," Yu Baishuo said.
"I’ll go instead, just tell me where it is," Li Qing said.
"Let’s see, it seems there’s a bottle on the dressing table in the bathroom, you’ll see it as soon as you enter the door on the left-hand side of the living room," Yu Baishuo recalled and said.
Li Qing acknowledged and turned to go upstairs.
He had always thought the inside was just a storage room, but as he ascended the simple staircase, he discovered a hidden gem above: a very well-decorated three-bedroom apartment, exceptionally tidy.
The sofa, wall cabinets, and entryway were all made of solid wood, understated yet profound.
I knew it, with Yu Baishuo earning so much money, how could she possibly live every day in the dilapidated warehouse below.
Muttering to himself, Li Qing pushed open the door on the left.
He was met with a very spacious bathroom, with a glass door partitioning the middle.
Li Qing focused on the dressing table, and his eyes suddenly bulged.
Holy shit!
He saw two shocking items.
On the upper shelf of the dressing table, two incredibly lifelike things were placed there.
One large, one small, the larger one was even bigger than Li Qing’s own.
Yu Baishuo actually used these things?
And to just leave them out in the open—wasn’t she afraid of others seeing them?!
Feeling as though he had discovered a new continent, Li Qing’s thoughts began to run wild.
"Did you find it?" Yu Baishuo’s voice came from downstairs.
Li Qing hurriedly looked around and found the iodine on the lower shelf, taking it in his hand.
"Found it!"
Li Qing shouted and hastily closed the door, going downstairs.
"It might sting a little, Sister Yu, just bear with it," Li Qing said as he dabbed a cotton swab with some iodine.
His recent discovery made his hands tremble slightly.
Who would have thought Yu Baishuo had a secret preference similar to Mrs. Lu’s?
And the size she used was so big.
With that size, it would be difficult for an average person to satisfy her.
Yu Baishuo’s delicate brows furrowed slightly as she suddenly asked, "Qingzi, did you just... see anything else?"
"What?" Li Qing pretended to be clueless.
"It’s just... I remember I might have... placed it... you saw it, didn’t you?" Yu Baishuo’s face suddenly turned red.
Li Qing coughed lightly, "I wanted to pretend I didn’t see anything, but Sister Yu, you placed it too conspicuously, and it was even with the iodine, I couldn’t help but see it."
"...That item, it’s not usually there, I intentionally put it there today, don’t overthink it," Yu Baishuo’s cheeks were bright red, "I did it to anger that unreasonable person, I didn’t expect you to see it." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Li Qing had already overthought; he even imagined the scene of such a large thing being inserted.
However, listening to what Sister Yu was hinting at, it seemed like she had deliberately arranged it to anger her husband.
Could it be that their argument was about those two items?
