Chapter 210: Chapter 210: The New Official Takes Office_1

"Just a quick pat and it’s like sticking two roasting pans to me because of this blasted heat,"

Han Mei twisted free from Li Qing’s devilish grip.

Li Qing, obediently, didn’t continue, as he too felt it was rather hot.

Just then, a series of intermittent moans and breathy gasps came from next door.

Li Qing thought he had misheard and promptly pricked up his ears to listen carefully.

It was indeed the sounds of frisky friction.

The shouting wasn’t very intense, but it was definitely audible.

Li Qing was completely stunned.

Had Gao Li been so fierce lately? Starting in the broad daylight?

Han Mei’s face turned crimson, and she twisted into the kitchen.

As a result, the sounds were even clearer in the kitchen.

"Sis-in-law, do you think they’ve just eaten lunch, or... are they still eating?" Li Qing said, teasingly.

"These two have no shame, going at it like this in the middle of the day," Han Mei spat lightly, "Don’t listen, let’s go outside where it’s cooler!"

"Sis-in-law, I’ve gotten used to it. They do this every now and then," Li Qing said with a laugh, "Actually, afternoons are still bearable, but nights are tough. And, at night, it sounds even clearer."

Han Mei, her cheeks beet red, stammered, "Living next to them, you really... have it tough."

Gao Li and Yang Xuelan’s midday romp had inadvertently done Li Qing a small favor.

After this incident, his sister-in-law might consider his feelings a bit more.

Tian Yue’e peeked her head in sneakily from the doorway and asked in surprise, "Huh, you guys haven’t started?"

"Started what? You randy heel, what nonsense are you talking about!" Han Mei snapped to her senses and threw the dishcloth in her hand at Tian Yue’e.

"I clearly heard those kinds of sounds coming from the kitchen just now. How come—huh?" Tian Yue’e was speaking when those moans once again drifted through the vent.

She twitched the corner of her mouth slightly and said with a look of disappointment, "So it’s the neighbors, huh? They’re really that vigorous? But I get it, anyone would want to feel up Yang Xuelan’s ample behind, even I as a woman get that urge. Seeing it every day, how could Gao Li hold himself back?"

"One glance and you’re smitten, then whoosh, onto the bed to start romping. That’s the beauty of being married, I guess. Any time you fancy, you can drop the trousers and dive in, explore the depths, get to grips with it."

Han Mei’s face flushed even deeper, and she lunged with bared teeth and claws.

"You shameless hussy, your mouth is nothing but trouble. Here, let me tear it off for you," she declared as she charged.

Tian Yue’e giggled and deftly dodged, "I’m only speaking the truth. Why are you after me?"

"I just feel sorry for our Qingzi, having to endure this kind of torment every day."

"You feel sorry for Qingzi? Why don’t you move in here then and cool him down whenever he needs?" Han Mei scoffed.

Tian Yue’e chuckled loud and heartily, dodging Han Mei’s attack again, "If I weren’t worried about making you angry, I’d have done it long ago. It pains me to see Qingzi suffer, and I suffer with him. If we were to get together, everyone would be happier. It’s actually a good idea, but you might not agree."

"What’s there for me to disagree with? You can move in today!" Han Mei shouted.

"Better not, after all, you’re the top wife; I need to show you some respect," Tian Yue’e said with a mischievous smile, "I’ll move in once you start living here, and we can all get along harmoniously."

"You wretched woman, you just won’t shut up, will you?" Han Mei charged out, grappling and biting Tian Yue’e.

Li Qing picked up a cucumber and chomped on it, watching the showdown with relish.

The sight of Han Mei and Tian Yue’e roughhousing was truly pleasing to the eye.

An unbounded graceful scene.

Far more captivating than any dance performance.

The two of them jumped and bounced, their full figures undulating with their vigorous movements.

Their fair skin flashed before Li Qing’s eyes like a fleeting shimmer.

Especially Tian Yue’e, who liked to go for the lower body, always tugging at pants.

The moment she made her move, Li Qing couldn’t bear to look away even for a second.

"Today’s cooking is on you!"

After nearly having her pants pulled off by Tian Yue’e, Han Mei stopped hassling and quickly stepped further away.

She also threatened to go on strike and not cook as a way of getting back at Tian Yue’e.

Tian Yue’e clapped her hands and stood with her hands on her hips, "What’s there to be afraid of? It was only Qingzi who got an eyeful; no one else saw."

"Get cooking now!" Han Mei said sternly.

Tian Yue’e laughed heartily, "Alright, alright. It’s just a meal, I’ll make it!"

The two girls had started to get down to business, but Li Qing still seemed a bit wistful.

His sister-in-law’s black pants she wore today seemed pretty trendy, and although he didn’t get a good look, they appeared somewhat sexy.

After lunch, everyone took a short break, and Li Qing, with vegetables in tow, headed for the town.

A new batch of vegetables had just been harvested from Tian Yue’e’s greenhouse.

Li Qing’s load was destined for a vegetable shop that had already placed a standing order.

He simply had to deliver them.

When he returned in the evening, he would have to load up another cart and rush to the evening market with Han Mei and Tian Yue’e.

At times like this, Li Qing felt incredibly grateful that his ancestors had settled in Sanhe Village.

The convenience of being close to the town and the county city was now undeniably apparent.

Li Qing had been running around various townships during this period.

Some townships might not seem far, but the mountainous roads made travel extremely inconvenient.

Villages like Sanhe, where the national highway is just outside the village, are few and far between.

Two days later, Lü Zong suddenly called, saying that the company’s paperwork had been completed and asked Li Qing to come by.

Once Li Qing arrived at the place, Lü Zong took him to an office building just a hundred or so meters from the Lü Family Restaurant.

Before even entering, a chorus of wails and howls reached his ears.

"Damn it, I don’t know what’s going on, but I suddenly feel like I’ve completely transformed!"

"Unbelievable, I never imagined I’d have a day as a white-collar worker, I’ve got to buy a shirt, a white one!"

"Hey, there’s a computer here too? Who knows how to use it?"

"Lü Zong sure has stocked this place up well for us!"

Listening to these shouts, Li Qing found each one very familiar.

It was obviously Liang Zhongliang and the others.

"Qingzi, you’re definitely going to have to put in some effort with this bunch, make sure you train them well." Lü Zong said with a bit of a headache.

"Lü Zong, I... I’ll do my best." Li Qing replied, feeling a headache himself.

As he pushed open the company’s door, the noisy commotion inside abruptly stopped.

"Lü Zong, Brother Li."

Including Brother Gong, everyone shouted excitedly.

"Stand properly," Lü Zong commanded with a stern voice as he swept his gaze over the crowd.

Everyone immediately stood upright, assuming what they believed to be the most dashing and proper posture.

"With the new company opening, Qingzi, say a few words," Lü Zong said with a smile.

"Lü Zong, Brother Gong is the general manager so it should really be..." Li Qing felt it wasn’t quite appropriate for him to step forward first.

But before he could finish, Lü Zong interrupted him, "He is indeed the general manager, but in this company, you’re the one in charge."

"Speak," he said.
