Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Harrison Sterling Mistakes Summers for Baron

"You’ve really got the wrong place. It’s just my mom here." Summers patiently explained to Baron, then went to the kitchen to find some tasty food for him, making sure to brag, "My mom made this, it’s really good."

Baron gobbled it down, clearly having been out for a long time.

"Eat slowly, okay." Summers poured a glass of Diary Milk for him.

With his mouth full, Baron looked at Summers. "My mommy is my mommy."

"But..." Summers was already frantic, what to do, someone was trying to steal his mom. "But this is my mom."

Little Summers felt for the first time what a robber was, why did he open the door for him?

Judging by Baron’s attitude, he was planning to stay here and not leave.

Baron’s Chinese didn’t seem particularly good, so he started speaking English when he couldn’t argue with Summers.

Summers could also speak fluently with him because his kindergarten had bilingual education, and Summers was a little genius, learning especially quickly.

"She’s my mommy."

"No, she’s not."

So, after what seemed like forever, a blushing and cautious Yvette Aston finally emerged from the bathroom, hearing the cries of two children from a distance.

"Summers, what’s wrong?" Yvette hurriedly ran forward.

Her legs felt a bit weak, she almost fell but Ethan Grant caught her from behind and held her in his arms.

Listening to the two children’s cries, Ethan’s eyelids twitched fiercely.

He felt a bad premonition.

Sure enough, he went to the living room, only to see it was the Sterling Family’s little tagalong.

"Baron?" Yvette was also shocked, looking at Baron, then at Ethan, and then at Summers.

Even their cries were similar.

As soon as Baron saw Yvette, he rushed over immediately. "Mommy! I miss you!"

"Where’s your dad?" Ethan, quick-eyed and deft, pressed Baron’s head down, not letting him get close to his wife.

Are all Sterling Family members useless? Can’t even watch over a child?

"I want mommy!" Baron wailed even harder.

Ethan’s heart tightened at his cries, quickly letting go.

Did he bully the child?

He never had much kindness for kids before, but lately, his heart seemed to overflow with compassion.

"Don’t cry, don’t cry." Yvette quickly took Baron into her arms, soothing him. "Baron, how did you find your way here?"

"Mommy, I missed you." Baron sobbed as he spoke, clinging tightly to Yvette, fearing she’d leave him.

Baron was incredibly aggrieved, his eyes red from crying.

Summers stood to the side, cautiously watching Ethan. Despite being afraid—afraid that someone would actually take his mom away from him—he kept reminding himself to be sensible and not cry.

It seemed Ethan understood the child’s thoughts; sometimes, Summers and Yvette were really alike, probably because of the many grievances they’ve endured over the past five years during their growth.

Ethan gently held Summers in his arms, whispering. "A little rascal from a familiar family, running around claiming moms."

Summers hugged Ethan. "Will he fight me for my mom and dad?"

"No, I’ll call his family to come pick him up." Ethan stepped aside to call Harrison Sterling.

What an amazing feat, a five-year-old rascal actually found his way here by himself.

"Mommy, I want to be with you." Baron fearfully held onto Yvette. He could tell Ethan disliked the Sterling family and didn’t like him, but he wanted to be with his mommy.

"Ding dong."

Before Ethan could make the call, the doorbell rang.

He glanced outside, then opened the door with a sullen face. "You got here pretty quickly."

Outside was Harrison Sterling.

Harrison breathed a sigh of relief, reaching out to embrace Summers. "The child might have overheard a conversation between me and his dad, learned your address."

"Heh, can’t even keep an eye on a kid." Seeing Harrison trying to hold his son, Ethan brushed his hand away with a gesture. "Can’t even tell the difference between kids? Have a good look, this is my son."

Ethan deeply felt that Harrison was blind not only in his eyes but in his heart as well.

"..." Harrison was stunned, finally seeing clearly that Summers was not Baron.

His face sank, clearly displeased with Ethan’s attitude towards him.

His gaze fell on Yvette in the living room, realizing Baron was hiding behind her.

Baron nervously clung to Yvette’s clothes. "Mommy, I want to be with you, don’t let uncle take me away."

"Are you Sterling Family torturing the child?" Ethan frowned.

Otherwise, why was the little guy so resistant?

Harrison couldn’t clear himself even if he jumped into The Umberflow River, it truly wasn’t the case.

The whole Sterling Family treated him as a treasure, otherwise, he’d be able to run around so freely?

The little rascal was just spoiled.

"Baron, go back with uncle, don’t be stubborn." Harrison was honestly surprised the little rascal found his way here, found Yvette.

"NO!" Baron cried even harder.

Yvette felt an ache in her heart, softly suggested. "Mr. Sterling, if you’re not in a rush to take Baron back to the country, why not let him stay here for a while?"

Ethan could see Yvette genuinely liked Baron.

"If it’s an extended period, I’ll arrange for the school, go to school with my son." Ethan gave Yvette the confidence.

Yvette glanced at Ethan, gratefully biting her lip.

"That’s my mom..." Summers spoke up, feeling wronged, wanting to cry but afraid to.

He was scared his mommy would be taken away.

"No way! She’s my mommy!" Baron yelled at Summers.

Summers cried from grievance.

"If my son disagrees, I won’t let you stay." Ethan warned Baron.

Baron was clearly spoiled by the Sterling family.

Baron wiped his tears, wanting to cry too.

Ethan didn’t like him, could send him away from mommy at any time.

"Summers." Yvette wanted to comfort Summers but feared it might upset Baron, caught between.

"Ethan, don’t be too harsh on my nephew. He has congenital heart disease; our entire Sterling family tried hard to keep him alive, otherwise he wouldn’t have survived the year he was born." Harrison warned Ethan not to scare Baron.

Ethan raised his hand to cover his forehead, regretting agreeing to let Baron stay.

This chaotic life...

He’s been too kind-hearted recently.

"I hate you!" Baron stared at Ethan, like a threatened little beast.

Ethan didn’t like him, and Baron didn’t like Ethan either.

Baron said he hated Ethan.

"Then go back with your uncle." Ethan was at a loss on how to appease such a problematic child.

Compared to this, their family Summers was practically an angel.

What kind of little demon had the Sterling family raised?

"I hate your guts!" Baron was like a fearless little wolf cub, expressing his dislike for Ethan. "I don’t want to leave mommy."

"..." Ethan felt helpless too, why don’t children like him?

Except for Summers, it seemed no child liked him right away.

"Ethan... shall we keep him?" Yvette nervously looked at Ethan.

"You’re the one who decides in this house." Ethan said in a deep voice, his words aimed at Harrison.

Warning him not to look at his wife anymore!

No matter how much you look, she’s not yours, she’s mine!

Harrison’s face visibly changed, snorting.
