The Grants: Choosing One Between The Two-Chapter 203: Chelsea Grant Tips Off Ethan Grant
Hotel, suite.
Stephen Sinclair was still blowing his snot bubbles, sitting in the bathtub playing with bath foam together with Summers.
"Daddy, your face looks a bit dark..." Summers asked softly.
Ethan Grant stood by the bathtub, looking at the two little ones helplessly.
Yvette Aston had returned to The Summers Family, not letting him follow.
He was assigned to care for the children at the hotel.
Summers was alright, he wasn’t opposed to her, but Stephen Sinclair seemed to have a cold, and his snot bubbles hadn’t stopped.
For Mr. Grant, who had a cleanliness obsession, this was simply... torture.
"Summers, Stephen Sinclair, you’re not two or three-year-old kids anymore, you should learn to bathe yourselves, right?" Ethan Grant asked.
Summers nodded.
Stephen Sinclair counted on his fingers. "Uncle Ethan, I’m five years old, not a two or three-year-old kid."
"Okay, then clean yourselves, and I’ll check later."
"Alright." Stephen Sinclair nodded naively, still looking happy.
"Ding dong."
The hotel doorbell rang.
Ethan Grant thought Yvette Aston had returned, feeling like he was saved, he ran quickly to the door.
But outside the door, it wasn’t Yvette Aston, it was Chelsea Grant.
"Brother..." Chelsea Grant looked a bit nervous. "Sorry, for bothering you so late."
"How did you find this place?" Ethan Grant frowned.
He had ensured confidentiality throughout the hotel, and this hotel wasn’t under Grant Group, but owned by Citadel.
With Chelsea Grant’s abilities, she couldn’t have found this place.
"I... used Stephen’s phone watch locator, so..." Chelsea Grant said softly, seeing Ethan Grant’s unhappy face, quickly added, "I definitely didn’t tell Mom or Dad."
"Is there something? Or are you here to take the kids?" Ethan Grant didn’t want to say much to Chelsea Grant.
"No... I was quite surprised you’d take care of the children, brother." Chelsea Grant spoke softly.
She thought Ethan Grant looked down on Stephen.
"I was surprised too, because it was just an accident." Ethan Grant spoke with a gloomy face.
He just wanted to take care of Summers, didn’t want a burden.
"Brother... listen to me, apologize to Dad, and soften up, can you?" Chelsea Grant nervously clutched her hands.
She was caught in the middle now, one side was her mom and brother, the other was Ethan Grant.
"I’m at fault?" Ethan Grant frowned.
"No..." Chelsea Grant took a deep breath, looking around. "Brother, Dad is very angry tonight, he invited Lawyer Larson home to discuss..."}
Chelsea was basically here to inform. "You know, Lawyer Jay Larson is Grandpa’s personal lawyer, handling shares and wills..."}
Ethan Grant had long guessed Arthur Grant would start to act.
"If Dad uses legal means to get back the shares, you’ll be very passive in the company, brother," Chelsea Grant was a bit worried about Ethan Grant, "Besides, brother, I advise you not to get too close to Yvette Aston, you should fire her..."}
Ethan Grant looked at Chelsea Grant with a gloomy face.
"I don’t know what Mom is planning, but Yvette, someone with so many stains, will make your situation even more passive, helping her is of no benefit," Chelsea was really puzzled.
"The Bell Family met with Dad again tonight, now they’re not even avoiding reporters, directly calling each other in-laws right in front of them..." Chelsea Grant also knew Arthur Grant was forcing Ethan Grant to obey.
Obey and marry into the Bell family, and he wouldn’t act.
But if Ethan Grant refused.
Arthur Grant would definitely take back the shares belonging to Ethan Grant.
"Do Mom and Dad know you came to tell me this?" Ethan Grant asked coldly.
Chelsea quickly shook her head. "Brother... don’t say that, he’s our dad."
Chelsea was very troubled, she really hoped for family harmony.
But now, the family’s people were like arrows on a tight string, ready to fire at any time.
"Brother... I really don’t want our family to become enemies." Chelsea’s voice was somewhat choked up.
Ethan Grant frowned, and after a long silence, spoke. "We can never become a family in the true sense, don’t be too naive."
Melody Crowe was a mistress, and the one who killed his mom, a family?
What a joke?
Chelsea’s eyes reddened, knowing Ethan Grant always resented her mom for being a mistress. "Sorry..."
"Want to take Stephen Sinclair back?" Ethan Grant’s tone was less cold.
Chelsea thought for a moment. "Sorry for the trouble, I’ll take him back."
Ethan Grant said nothing.
Bathroom.
Both Summers and Stephen Sinclair, who weren’t two or three-year-olds, each wrapped in towels, walked out barefoot, bouncing on the carpet.
"Uncle Ethan, I washed myself clean!" Stephen Sinclair shouted happily.
Chelsea looked at Stephen Sinclair in surprise, was this the same Stephen Sinclair who couldn’t take care of himself at home and still wet the bed at five years old?
Almost didn’t recognize her own son.
Having spent a few days with Ethan Grant and Caden Summers, he learned to bathe himself.
"Mom..." Stephen Sinclair saw Chelsea, instantly quieting down, calling out ’mom’ with grievance.
"Stephen, your mom has come to pick you up." Summers coaxed softly.
Stephen Sinclair glanced at Summers, then at Chelsea. "Summers, will you always play with me?"
Summers nodded. "I will."
Chelsea stood at the door, avoiding eye contact with guilt.
She didn’t like Summers, indeed mixing personal grievances in.
Earlier, she always suspected Summers was the illegitimate child of Chase Sinclair and Yvette Aston, but seeing how smart Summers was, it definitely couldn’t be the spawn of Chase, that bastard.
"Stephen Sinclair, let’s go home." Chelsea waved to Stephen.
Stephen Sinclair didn’t want to leave, but indeed missed his mom. "Mom, will you scold me again if you get drunk?"
Chelsea was stumped.
"Children aren’t for blame and scolding, since you chose to give birth to him, you must be responsible." Ethan Grant reminded Chelsea coldly.
Chelsea nodded. "I will."
Holding Stephen Sinclair’s hand, Chelsea bowed her head to leave.
"About the family matters..." Ethan Grant escorted her to the door. "Don’t interfere, don’t participate, no matter what happens, pretend not to know."
Chelsea was stunned for a moment, looking at Ethan Grant.
At that moment, she felt... Ethan Grant was no longer so unfamiliar and cold, but gave her the feeling of having a brother.
Actually, since childhood, Chelsea and Jayden Grant feared Ethan Grant.
Chelsea held a mix of reverence and fear for Ethan Grant.
And, this brother was too unfamiliar.
Too cold.
"There’s one more thing..." Chelsea suddenly remembered. "Brother, Dad asked Jayden to contact Yvette’s biological mother today, the nanny from the true and false heiress incident, he might target Yvette."
Ethan Grant’s face darkened, he turned back to the room, put on his jacket, picked up Summers who was still trying to dry her hair, changed her clothes, and left directly.
"Daddy, where are we going?" Summers asked softly.
"To The Summers Family."
Ethan Grant wasn’t at ease about Yvette Aston.
