#After 30 minutes

For the first time, Alec witnessed a demonic beast fighting for his sake. However, he couldn’t comprehend why the Matriarch Hyena was putting in so much effort to save him.

Despite her claim that she was protecting him because he was her mate, he still believed she might be using it as an excuse, After all, it seemed implausible for a human and a demonic beast to stay together.

"Master, they have all managed to withdraw to the city gates safely with the help of the hyenas," Legion appeared behind Alec and informed him.

"Is that so?, If that’s the case, let’s resolve the issue before us now," Alec responded, channelling his mana into the space pouch and summoning every single golem he had in his arsenal.

As soon as Alec summoned all his golems, even the three Tier 4 creatures came to a halt.

As they gazed ahead at the area where a large influx of mana had been provoked, focusing on Alec.

He stood in front of them with a commanding presence, his golems standing by his side, each wielding unique weapons and donning distinct appearances.

"It’s been a while since you summoned all of us like this. It seems things are about to get interesting again," Tempest Butcher exclaimed, the crackling lightning around his elemental cloud body reflecting his excitement.

"What are your orders, master?" Oni asked, his two main hands and four tendrils each holding different types of weapons.

"Titan, Legion, Butcher, Magnito, Oni, Hive Queen, Sword Saint, let’s unleash hell on those two," Alec declared as he unsheathed his Bone katana.

"You should stand back now, as this is about to get messy," Alec advised the Hyena Matriarch, who merely fluttered her eyes at him before stepping aside.

Alec couldn’t help but cringe at her behaviour, but he quickly snapped out of it when he heard a loud bang.

He had become distracted during his conversation with the Hyena Matriarch, forgetting that he was going up against two Tier 4 creatures alone.

His lack of attention provided Thrall with the perfect opportunity to launch a shoulder jab at Alec.

While Using his effective shoulder, But Titan had quickly anticipated Thrall’s intentions and moved in front of Alec with a conjured ice shield larger than any he had ever created before.

With a powerful impact, Thrall’s shoulder collided with the ice shield , causing it to crack slightly. However, the shield held firm against the Orc chief’s assault.

Thrall locked eyes with Titan through the transparent barrier.

"So, it is you. The one whose hands I had to tear off last time," Thrall taunted.

"And look at how things have changed!" Titan retorted with a savage comment, taking a jibe at the fact that the Orc chief now has one hand himself.

"Don’t think your golem friends can protect you. I ripped your hands off once, and I can do it again," Thrall boasted.

"You’d better update your memory, because I’m about to teach you a lesson," Titan replied confidently. With a halt in the infusion of mana, the ice shield began to disintegrate.

Seizing the opportunity, Titan swiftly maneuvered, lunging towards Thrall and clasping his hands around the Orc’s waist.

He attempted to execute a suplex, planning to lift Thrall and slam him to the ground.

However, to Titan’s surprise, Thrall’s legs were firmly planted, resisting his maneuver.

"You’ll have to do better than that!" Thrall challenged as he struggled to lift Titan.

Suddenly, Thrall’s instincts kicked in, and he diverted his attention to the approaching Hive Queen.

The Queen’s front blade legs swiftly darted towards Thrall, resembling the movements of a rapier-wielding swordsman.

Thrall twisted and turned his neck to evade being pierced, by her fast moving legs.

Bamm!

But In a split second, Thrall swung his massive battle axe, striking the Hive Queen backwards and severing three of her legs when she attempted to block his strike.

"I remember you! You’re the golem who cost me my arm, I will kill you!" Thrall shouted, his eyes turning a menacing shade of red.

He released a surge of dangerous force energy from his body and launched a straight knee strike at Titan, breaking free from the grip of Titan’s hold.

As he broke away, Thrall swiftly swung his axe again, this time aiming for Titan’s neck.

But Titan’s reaction was faster than even the Hive Queen’s, allowing him to swiftly move his hand in the direction of the approaching axe.

A light blue rune materialized and revolved around his ice palm, granting him some type of magical protection.

The impact of Thrall’s strike caused a small explosion, hurling Titan backward.

The force behind Thrall’s enraged attack had taken its toll.

Sensing that Thrall was reaching a critical condition, the Root finally took action, knowing that if Alec and his golems handle Thrall then he won’t be much of a situation for them.

However, Alec was there to support Titan. He swung his bone katana skilfully, deflecting two of the vines but failing to block the remaining three, which pierced Alec’s flesh with a leech-like hunger for his blood.

"Arggh!" Alec cried out in pain as the vines dug into his flesh. Reacting swiftly, he spun his bone katana, severing the attached vines and freeing himself.

The cut vines swiftly retreated back to the Root, transforming it back into its original form. Read exclusive chapters at novelbuddy

"What sweet blood you have!" the Root exclaimed, feeling its power surge after draining so much of Alec’s blood.

Legion was planning on moving to assist Alec, but Alec shook his head, asserting his command.

"Titan, Legion, and Hive Queen, dealing with the Orc is command to you all, You three are my strongest golems, and I have great confidence in you. Leave this Root to me and the rest of the group."

Alec’s words rallied Oni, Magnito, Sword Saint, and Tempest, who surrounded the Root.

But Before they could engage in battle, a loud explosion erupted in another direction out of the Beast King forest, catching their attention.

"The Mine!" Thrall exclaimed, abruptly changing his course and leaving the battlefield.

Though he desired to fight until the end, the shaman’s orders compelled him to prioritize his responsibilities.

One of the Hive Queen’s progeny attempted to approach Thrall, but he swiftly hooked the spider baby with his axe, killing it before it had a chance to self-destruct.

"Don’t chase after him!" Alec shouted to Titan and the others.

It was evident that something serious was unfolding in the mines, and Thrall was rushing there.

Alec knew better than to corner a desperate opponent, as they were likely to strike back with increased ferocity.

As the Root realized that it was the sole remaining adversary, fear tinged its expression.

"This is far from over!" the Root declared, as its humanoid legs merging back into roots as it swiftly burrowed into the ground, disappearing from Alec’s presence.

Alec breathed a sigh of relief, believing the battle was finally at an end.

However, his relief was short-lived as he turned around and found himself face-to-face with the Matriarch Hyena, he had completely forgotten about her and was clueless on how to deal with her.

Her eyes, filled with cunning, locked onto Alec’s own eyes, seemingly plotting her next move.
