The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers-Chapter 206: Vincent
Lilith called Viktoria and insisted on her tag along to see Vinicent, her father. Lilith collected samples of Vlad’s blood. Stuffing the vials in a bag before transforming into a dragon and flying off.
She flew to Viktoria’s residence. She lived in Moscow, Russia in a penthouse apartment. Lilith landing on the roof she transformed back into her human form and tried to enter the rooftop door. It was locked, but with her nails, she picked the lock. Letting herself in.
She walked through Viktoria’s front door like she owned the place.
"Grandmother, it’s good to see you. How have you been?" Viktoria asked Lilith as she walked through the door.
"I’ve been better. I come with news as well." Lilith started. "We will be having a meeting with the shifters at the shifter capital. Your presence will be required, you and your brothers. The entire royal family will be in attendance. Including your father. It’s not just for manners, but to protect us and show a united front, despite the loss of our queen and princess."
"Wait, you mean I’m expected to just walk into a den of wolves?" Viktoria questioned Lilith’s sanity.
"Yes. We all will. You’re niece will be welcoming us and an alliance will be made." Lilith confirmed.
Viktoria couldn’t believe what she was hearing. A visit to shifters, their natural enemy. She was in denial.
"You’re kidding me? I’m not doing that. That’s asking for trouble. No. Especially not after kidnapping my sister in law and my niece." Viktoria protested.
"You will come, even if I have to drag you kicking and screaming. This is more important than your petty feelings. I have more to explain once we reach your father." Lilith thought about how to tell her son his father was the son of a god, basically an ancient demon, hellbent on burning the world.
How to explain how he doesn’t remember. And how history is repeating itself once again.
"You’re serious?" Viktoria asked one more time.
"Yes. I am serious. Deadly serious. Now pack your bags princess, we leave now." Lilith informed Viktoria.
"Fine... But you owe me knew clothes for this risky and stupid adventure." Viktoria snubbed her nose and left to go and pack.
"How are we getting there?" Viktoria asked. "I can’t transform into a dragon and fly on the winds like you." Viktoria was skeptical of Lilith’s thought out plans.
"Teleportation stones, darling." Lilith pulled out the stones from her bag handing one to Viktoria.
"I always forget these exist." Viktoria graciously accepted the stone.
The stones weren’t as rare as they used to be, they weren’t common items, you had to know someone who could use old magic to make them. But the vampires had Arya, a witch well versed in all kinds of magic.
"They aren’t something one typically carries on their persons. Now, is it?" Lilith pointed out.
"No need to be so snippy grandma." Viktoria jabbed her back. Knowing how much Lilith hated that name, she felt it was too old, she was still a youthful woman.
"Watch your tongue, or I’ll make you eat it." Lilith growled threatening Viktoria. "It’s Grandmother, or Lilith." Lilith would accept grandmother, because it sounded formal and graceful.
"Oh, grandmother, calm down, I’m only teasing." Viktoria walked up behind Lilith and reached up to rub her shoulders. Viktoria wasn’t short, but Lilith was tall.
"Exactly don’t tease your betters." Lilith teased back, giving Viktoria a taste of her own medicine. Having an inferiority complex made that insecurity and easy target.
"Wow, I see you." Viktoria let go and walked away, let’s go then. To my dad." Viktoria held the stone out and stepped through the portal thinking of her home and her father. Lilith followed suit.
The portal opened and they walked through.
Entering in front of Vincent’s estate, they stepped on to a gravel driveway, green lush trees still holding their leaves despite the increasing cold weather. The house wasn’t as big as the brother’s manner, but it was pretty close and rivaled it with class and status. With white stone walls and large windows. Viktoria always thought that was weird, being vampires and having large windows. But they had UV protection, like the brothers manor, so he could have the curtains open all day and never worry, if he forgot his ring.
The grounds were quiet, with only a handful of staff to deal the upkeep of the home and the surrounding areas.
When they opened the doors to the estate they were greeted immediately by the staff.
"Where is my father?" Viktoria asked.
"He’s in his study, young miss." The woman bowed with respect.
Viktoria nodded and began walking to her father’s study. She looked around taking note of everything.
"Wow, everything looks exactly the same as it was the last time I was here, like 20 years ago." Viktoria remarked, disappointed. Her father really needed to get more, live. Her mother would be so mad if she were here to see this.
Arriving at the door, Viktoria reached out to knock.
"Come in." A deep voice from behind the door said.
Viktoria and Lilith stepped into his study. It was a room surrounded by shelves of books, there was a telescope by the window and a large globe in the middle. One that showed a world, not like theirs.
An old world.
"Mother, Daughter, to what do I owe the pleasure." Vincent asked without looking up from his paperwork on the desk.
"You’re being called upon." Lilith stepped forward speaking first.
"Called upon for what?" He asked.
"The family needs you. Something dark has been born into our world, his name is Ezelreth and has taken over Violet’s body." That caught his attention, and he looked up at Lilith, now all ears.
Lilith started explaining. "While you’ve been hold up since Violet’s coronation, you’re grand niece was kidnapped. She is also the MoonChild. Sent by the goddess to fight him and save the people of this world. We need your blood to test it on something meant to hold Ezelreth. And you are summoned to come with the family to meet with the shifters. This is a need to show strength and confidence and unity among our people. They are also with the MoonChild, they kidnapped her."
