The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon!-Chapter 1217: Extra: A Day in Kingston Jennings’ Life
Early morning, Jennings Family.
Kingston Jennings woke up early, sitting in the garden touched by morning dew, he set up an easel facing the newly blossomed flowers on the east wall, indulging in the rare leisure of painting.
As he was about to finish, he noticed unexpectedly that two turtles had appeared at his feet without him knowing.
One was large, the other small, one fierce, the other sluggish.
They stretched their necks long to look at his painting.
Shellback brought his turtle companion for a stroll today and spotted Kingston Jennings here.
He wasn’t familiar with Kingston, but the little turtle seemed to like this human a bit and approached him voluntarily.
Shellback had no choice but to follow.
"Why do you paint?" Shellback asked him, "Taking a photo is much faster."
With just a click, you can take as many photos as you like.
Kingston was already accustomed to the fact that Shellback could talk, so he didn’t answer, instead, he looked at the two turtles on the ground, seemingly on a whim, suddenly he bent down and picked up the little turtle, holding it in his hand.
"Hey! What are you doing to my turtle companion? Let it go!"
Seeing him act, Shellback immediately rose into a Black Mist and flew up, trying to rescue the little turtle from Kingston’s hand.
Yet Kingston, as if ignoring him, had already started painting swiftly on the little turtle with his brush.
The light brush in his hand seemed to possess mana, like in the blink of an eye, the little turtle’s shell was adorned with flowers.
Shellback was somewhat disdainful, "So flashy, not the least bit majestic."
Having finished painting the little turtle, Kingston looked at Shellback upon hearing this, and the moment their eyes met, Shellback suddenly had a bad premonition.
"I, I am Shellback, don’t think of making a move on me!!"
Five minutes later, the Crocodile Tortoise’s back was also covered in flowers.
Even because of the spikes on the Crocodile Tortoise’s shell, the entire turtle back appeared even more three-dimensional.
Kingston turned on the phone’s front camera, letting it see the painting on its back.
Shellback looked left and right, unable to discern any expression on the tortoise’s face, only a pair of small eyes showing a bit of brightness.
After a while, it suddenly floated with Black Mist, bringing itself and the turtle companion to the flower wall where Kingston initially painted, the two flashy turtles lay down under the flower wall, Kingston only heard the Crocodile Tortoise say,
"Paint us in."
Kingston looked at his nearly completed piece, then at the two turtles that had intruded the flower wall, he didn’t paint a new one, but instead directly painted the two little ones into the almost finished painting.
The world within the painting was far more vivid than reality, the two little turtles under Kingston’s brush seemed to gain a bit more lively color.
As he was close to finishing the painting, the red string on his wrist unintentionally glowed, Kingston paused his brush suddenly.
Pulling his consciousness away from the painting, he looked up to find a person had appeared atop the flower wall.
With a head of white hair, Hannah Hearne had both hands on the wall, tilting her head, looking at him.
Seeing him look her way, she instantly blinked, speaking as if to an old friend,
"Heard there’s a Buddhist Practitioner who’s interested in you, inviting you to join them, why didn’t you go?"
Kingston smiled, gesturing with the pen in his hand.
Hannah on the wall seemed to understand his meaning, continuing on her own,
"Yes, that place is so boring, demons don’t even go there, better to stay with the Jennings Family? The Jennings have Scarlett, and so many people to accompany you."
Saying this, Hannah seemed to remember something, hurriedly reminded,
"Don’t tell Scarlett I’m here, she’ll drag me back for cultivation again, I barely managed to escape for a breath."
Kingston nodded, indicating he agreed.
Hannah then lay on the wall, facing the rising sun, appearing lazy.
Kingston’s thoughts shifted, he suddenly pointed the pen in his hand at her, not even needing to speak, the person on the wall understood his meaning.
"You want to paint me too? That’s so embarrassing, no one’s ever painted a portrait of me..."
Hannah looked embarrassed, while speaking she quickly posed and changed expressions on the wall,
"Does this angle work? Should I make two ears, to make me seem cuter?"
Kingston was about to shake his head indicating it wasn’t necessary when he saw six beautiful fox tails lightly raised behind the girl.
Clearly, the girl on the flower wall was bright and vibrant, the sudden appearance of fox tails behind her gave her a bit more of a fairytale-like color.
Kingston didn’t indicate further, bowing his head, focusing on the canvas in his hand.
When Hannah’s image was just finished being outlined, Kingston inadvertently looked up to see another head unexpectedly appeared on the wall.
It was Magnolia Hearne.
"What are you doing here? Why aren’t you cultivating early in the morning?"
Caught red-handed, Hannah briefly showed guilt on her face before quickly pointing at Kingston,
"It’s him, he insisted I be his model, I had no choice~"
Kingston: ...
Stop taking advantage of my reluctance to speak and making things up.
Meeting Kingston’s gaze, Hannah immediately shot him an intense look, one full of warnings.
Can you say, can you say it wasn’t you who wanted to paint me first?
Kingston thought about it, even though he didn’t insist on having someone as a model, but...it was indeed him who took the initiative.
Fine.
Nodding to his aunt, Kingston faced his aunt who had taken care of him since childhood with a sense of affection and warmth.
Magnolia saw him nod and didn’t pursue further, simply lay on the wall, smilingly saying to Kingston,
"Then paint me too."
Kingston naturally agreed to Magnolia’s request without the slightest hesitation.
Having checked his composition, he continued to add people to it.
Halfway through the painting, Scarlett Jennings and Donovan Jennings also appeared from the adjacent wall, the pair said nothing, just stared at Kingston intently.
Kingston: ...Understood.
Continued painting.
Shellback had long become bored, seeing Scarlett and the others join in the fun, he simply flew back behind Kingston, watching him paint.
Though Scarlett’s part wasn’t finished yet, its and the little turtle’s parts were already complete, Shellback liked it at a glance.
Being an excellent Crocodile Tortoise means being both powerful and cute!
It looked great!!
Kingston painted for much longer than usual with this piece.
With several people brightly on the wall, the Jennings family had long noticed.
Luca Jennings originally going to work had to suddenly stop.
Though it was inappropriate to lie on the wall like his wife and children, he simply walked to Kingston’s side, watching him paint.
Samuel Chalmers, having arrived unnoticed, stood by the flower wall without getting into the painting, yet looked at Scarlett with a smile.
A single painting took almost half the morning.
Everyone liked the finished product. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Only Kingston was not entirely satisfied.
He thought about it, returned to his room to continue where he left off, in the final product, under the brightly colored flower wall, two turtles adorned with flowers passed by, atop the wall were familiar faces, either lazy or smiling.
Beside the flower wall, a tall figure stood quietly, looking at someone on the wall, eyes full of tenderness.
In front of the flower wall, was a young man focused on painting, and around him, stood a crowd.
In his past life, he was accustomed to and enjoyed solitude, but in the days to come, regardless of lifespan, he wanted to live in warmth and lively company.
