Chapter 63
As though tired of the man's shrieks, Yuan Fa released him.
He raised his hand towards the light, the dazzling brightness filtering through his fingers like delicate strands of white silk.
Crimson blood dripped from his fingers, blooming like vivid red flowers.
He gazed at it, enthralled: "They're beautiful, aren't they?"
As if recalling something, he shook his head with a sigh: "Ah... what a pity only I can appreciate them."
Yuan Fa hummed a cheerful tune as he took out a tissue from his pocket, carefully wiping his fingers clean. Once done, he tossed the blood-stained tissue aside, now holding a small silver knife.
Without warning, he suddenly flew into a rage, gripping the knife and viciously stabbing at the man.
"Aahh!" The scream echoed through the hall.
Yuan Luoyi lowered her head, shutting her eyes in fear, her heart pounding wildly.
Her second brother had lost all control...
His magic tricks used to be charming and wondrous, always making Yuan Luoyi laugh.
But now, Yuan Luoyi felt only fear and profound sadness...
What could she do to help her second brother recover...?
Yuan Fa aimed the gun at the man: "Shut up now, you've scared my sister and she dares not watch the show!"
The man trembled, clenching his teeth to force himself silent.
When Yuan Fa gave an order, it was best to obey, or else he would face inhumane treatment.
Yuan Fa, the second son of the Yuan family, had no moral sense and would toy with killing, laughing maniacally to inflict unparalleled terror on his victims.
"Click!"
Yuan Fa flicked open the revolver, showing it around: "See? There's only one bullet, the other five are empty."
"Click!"
With a flick of his finger, he closed the cylinder, aiming the black muzzle at the man.
"Now, question one, why are you here?"
The man answered fearfully: "I did something wrong, but I had no choice!"
Yuan Fa pulled the trigger.
"Bang!"
No bullet fired.
The man broke out in a cold sweat.
Yuan Fa smiled: "Lucky you, even though you answered wrong, you lived. Question two, why are you here?"
The man cried out in terror: "My wife and child were captured! If I didn't do that, they would die!"
Yuan Fa laughed coldly: "Wrong answer."
He pulled the trigger.
"Bang!" Empty chamber.
Yuan Fa sighed with regret: "Missed again. Question three, why are you here?"
"Let me go, I've told you everything I know."
"Bang!" Empty chamber.
"Question four, why are you here?"
"My child is only three years old!"
"Bang!" Empty chamber. 𝖋𝔯𝖊𝖊𝖜𝔢𝖇𝔫𝖔𝔳𝔢𝖑.𝖈𝔬𝖒
"Question five, why are you here?"
"I beg you, I really beg you! Whatever you want, I can give it to you! Just let me go!"
Yuan Fa threw his head back, laughing, his eyes lifeless: "What I want, you cannot give. Wrong answer!"
The man panted heavily in terror, his emaciated chest heaving violently.
Yuan Fa pulled the trigger: "Bang!"
He frowned, turning to Yuan Luoyi: "Ah, the fifth one was empty too, but... my dear sister, pay close attention, the real show is about to begin!"
He began pacing in a circle around the man like a bullfighter entering the final match.
The man howled: "You said if all five were empty, you'd let me go!"
Yuan Fa shook his head: "That was before my sister arrived, this is a new act."
Raising his hand with the gun aimed at the man, Yuan Fa declared loudly: "Drumroll please! As we all know, the last shot must have a bullet!"
"So tell me, my old friend, why are you here? Don't answer wrongly."
The man broke down emotionally, trembling in terror, eyes bloodshot as blood dripped from his body. He had been tortured for so long, tasting nearly every suffering imaginable.
He stammered: "I did a false autopsy..."
Yuan Fa smiled: "Good, go on."
The man continued: "Her body was covered in injuries, six fractures, a ruptured spleen, bleeding lungs, but in the autopsy report I wrote that she died by hanging herself, successfully sending her off to be cremated."
"Anything else?"
"Nothing more! I only did that part! The rest was done by others! I really don't know!"
Yuan Fa sighed, his eyes filled with murderous intent: "Wrong answer!"
"Please let me go home! We used to be friends!"
Yuan Fa said coldly: "Don't be foolish, you mean nothing to me!"
The man screamed in despair.
Yuan Fa's slender fingers pulled the trigger.
Yuan Luoyi turned away and closed her eyes.
"Bang!"
The last shot was also empty.
Drenched in sweat and blood, the man's face was pale as he narrowly escaped death, still shell-shocked and dazed.
Yuan Fa smiled and bowed theatrically to Yuan Luoyi, like an actor thanking the audience: "How was that, exciting? I made that bullet disappear!"
"How could I kill someone in front of my sister!"
"She's too fragile and too young, she'd have nightmares."
"Ah... such a worrisome child, always crying. I used to lack normal human emotions, now even my thinking is abnormal. How can I take care of her properly? Big brother really knows how to challenge me..."
The man rasped: "Will you let me go now?"
Yuan Fa laughed deeply, his voice icy: "My home has been ruined, how could I let you return to yours?"
When speaking to Yuan Luoyi, he switched to a lively tone: "My dear sister, the magic show is over, this greedy man must face harsh reality and be punished. You can go to the room on the left."
"I've cleaned it, there's less dust there, healthier for you."
"Inside is the stuffed rabbit I gave you before. When I came back today, I suddenly missed you, so I found it and cleaned it up."
"It's wonderful, the fur is white and soft again. As long as it's with you, all nightmares and curses will vanish..."
Yuan Luoyi hopped off the armchair and scurried into the room.
Everything in the old Yuan residence was worn, except for the one-meter-tall rabbit that looked just like before, pristine white. It was placed by the window, its round black eyes gazing outside, as if waiting for its little owner's return.
Yuan Luoyi closed the door, went over, and hugged it, feeling the softness.
Meanwhile, after Yuan Luoyi left, Yuan Fa fully revealed his evil side as he slaughtered the man...
