The Extra's Advent: My Villainess Fiancée is a Yandere-Chapter 19 - 3 years
Wrong Eye
Rank: S
Type: Analysis
Description:
A passive perception skill that activates only when the Individual directly speaks a lie to the host. Upon activation, it reveals the truthful version of the statement the Individual would have spoken had they not lied. The skill works only on individuals whose overall strength is lower than the host’s.
...
’Oh no. I fucked up.’
’This can’t be happening...’
’Of all people... why did it have to be her?’
’What do I do?’
’Calm down, Cael. Breathe.’
’She doesn’t know that I know she knows about my class.’
’What’s done is done. Now I just have to see how this huntress reacts.’
.
Cael slowly took a breath and met Seraphina’s amber gaze.
Neither of them looked away. It turned into a silent staring contest.
Seraphina’s own shock was no less than Cael’s.
Never in her wildest expectations had she imagined that a casual verification question would uncover an SSS-class holder hiding in plain sight.
SSS awakenings were absurdly rare. One in billions, if that.
She had expected that, at most, the boy had undergone a second awakening.
Perhaps S-rank.
Possibly SS, though unlikely.
But SSS?
Utterly...
Totally...
Goddamn absurd.
And now she was left with a problem.
Seraphina clicked her tongue softly.
Now what? 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Should she drag this lucky rascal straight to the Council of Rankers?
Or pretend nothing happened?
No. That wasn’t possible.
The Council is searching relentlessly for SSS-class holders for a reason.
Humanity’s survival.
They had long since accepted public hatred as the price of doing what was necessary.
If being hated meant saving millions, they would bear it.
Seraphina did not particularly like the Council. But she respected their resolve.
Even so, she was not someone who forced chains onto people without thought.
She exhaled slowly.
Her gaze sharpened as she looked at the silver-haired culprit who had just complicated her day.
"We need to talk."
Her tone left no room for refusal.
"Come with me to my office."
...
Inside the Vice Principal’s office.
Seraphina sat behind her desk; her amber eyes fixed on Cael with an unreadable gaze.
Cael sat opposite her, silently steadying his breathing and calming his racing thoughts.
The silence stretched for several seconds.
Then Seraphina spoke.
"Your life depends on your answers to my questions."
Her voice was calm and commanding.
"Am I clear?"
Cael understood that lying was impossible, not just because she was his superior, but because of the skill ’Wrong Eye’.
From this point onward, every answer had to be truthful and carefully measured.
As long as he did not trigger her skill again, he would be fine.
He gave a small nod.
"You may ask."
Seraphina leaned back slightly.
"Why didn’t you inform the Council that you are an SSS-class holder?"
Cael answered without hesitation.
"I don’t like the Council."
Seraphina’s gaze narrowed faintly.
"Hmm. So, just as I suspected... You already knew that I knew about your class."
Cael nearly choked.
He had made a mistake. He hadn’t denied her statement.
He claimed to be an A-class holder earlier, yet when she referred to him as an SSS-class holder, he offered no correction. That action alone was enough to confirm her suspicion.
’She got me.’
’I underestimated her.’
’I need to think before I speak.’
Cael forced his expression to remain steady and replied in a calm tone.
"My intuition told me you had already seen through it, so denying it would have been meaningless."
Seraphina raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? Really?"
Cael nodded.
It wasn’t entirely false. He had suspected that her skill might have exposed his true class. That counted as intuition.
"Then tell me... how long do you intend to hide?"
Cael answered carefully.
"Until I am strong enough."
"Strong enough, huh."
Seraphina tapped her fingers lightly against the desk.
-TAP -TAP -
She closed her eyes for several seconds, leaning back in her chair as if weighing options only she could see.
When she opened them again, her decision was firm.
"Three years. I will allow you to conceal your class until your graduation. After that, you will update your status as an SSS-class holder."
Cael exhaled quietly.
It wasn’t ideal.
But it was better than immediate registration.
For a brief moment, Cael believed the worst had passed, but then Seraphina continued,
"However, as an SSS-class holder, you will remain under my supervision."
Her gaze sharpened.
"You are not permitted to leave the academy grounds for the next three years. The last thing I need is an SSS-class holder getting bewitched by a vampire or dragged into something foolish."
Cael’s heart sank.
"I can’t do that—"
She cut him off without raising her voice.
"You have no alternative. Either you accept my terms... or I inform the Council."
The weight of her words settled heavily between them.
Seeing the hesitation in his eyes, she added,
"If your concern is your mother, then don’t be. I will arrange for her to stay within the academy’s residential quarters."
Cael fell silent.
He had no leverage left.
"But... is that even allowed?"
Cael asked quietly.
Seraphina’s lips curved faintly.
"Did you forget who you’re speaking to?"
Cael swallowed.
"The... Crimson Butcher?"
For a brief second, he genuinely wondered if he had just signed his own execution order.
If she chose to force matters, who in this academy would dare stand in her way? This woman was insane, after all.
A vein twitched at her temple.
She slammed her palm onto the desk.
—BANG—
Her amber eyes burned.
"I ’AM’ the Vice Principal of this academy."
The air turned heavy.
Indeed, under her overwhelming presence, Cael had nearly forgotten she was the Vice Principal.
If she decided to alter regulations, she could do so at will; who would dare question her authority? She was the Vice Principal, after all.
After a few seconds of silence, Seraphina stood up from her seat and said,
"Follow me."
