The dragon's harem-Chapter 1284: A Devil’s Blood
The fight between Arad and Euri lasted for a long while as both of them slowed down. The more exhausted and damaged Euri's body, the easier Arad started going at him to buy more time for Alice to modify the arrays.
By the time the arrays were done, Euri was standing on his own, bloodied and mangled like a corpse. His devil blood had long been overworked and receded back, but he had learned a lot in this fight about how to control and use it.
Arad took down his expansion, and the crowd, who was getting agitated by not being able to see the fight, gasped. They saw Euri's bloodied body still standing with bones showing up in his shattered joints.
"You're one tough Titan, aren't you?" Arad approached him and smiled, "I doubt anyone else could've been able to stand and fight like this."
Arad then looked at Alice, who was in the VIP room, "Do you mind healing him? The normal healer won't be able to save his life."
Alice nodded and flicked her fingers, teleporting Euri away. As soon as he fell on the floor of Arad's room, Alice landed beside him and was surprised. Her holy magic can't heal him.
"Devil's blood? No wonder." She turned around, and Arad was already standing beside her. "I'll call Sara. And then he waved his hand, and Sara emerged from his stomach."
"That stomach of yours, we can use it as a teleportation hub to link everyone to where your incarnations are. It is quite useful." She smiled and backed away, letting Sara heal the he-devil brat. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
After Euri was fully healed, Arad carried him to another room while Alice cleaned the blood with a single spell. It only took her one flick to make everyone sparkling and spotless.
Arad sent Sara back to the university where morning had just arrived to attend her lessons while he and Alice went back to the VIP room to watch Tyal's fight, which was about to start.
Minutes later, Euri woke up, exhausted and in pain. But he didn't care about all of that. Gale, their king, had betrayed them. Getting a stranger into the Colosseum was offensive but not that big of a deal. Plotting against Zeus and stealing his throne was a whole other matter.
Euri couldn't go just based on guesses and ideas, so he had to start investigating immediately.
He jumped down from the bed and rushed outside, running like an Olympic athlete across the rainy streets of the capital, pushing the violent wind with ease as his muscles and bones groaned, strained by the unimaginable stress.
But won't Tyal's actions be the same as her father's? Trying to scheme the current Eye of the Storm down? Will the Titans degrade into a clown festival where weaklings are ruling over everyone and leading the whole race into destruction? No, Tyal was different.
Tyal is playing by Zeus's rules. Even Euri won't argue that a demi-god Titan's words are law. But Gale acted before that demi-god was born. Gale and those who helped him have to die, but Tyal can live. A significant part of it is because Arad is protecting her, and Euri can't figure out a way to get past him to kill her.
With that in mind, Euri made his way back to the castle. He rushed past the main gate and went into the inner keep, soon finding himself standing at the entrance of the royal kitchen. First, he was starving, so he grabbed a meal.
While eating, he kept watching the servants come and go, trying to find the ones working directly for Gale and the queens. There were many more jobs for the servants to do other than cook and clean. Some had to have been close enough to hear a few things that they shouldn't hear. All he had to do now was find them.
Soon, Euri had learned many things. The first was that a servant called Hermon, Gale's training partner, got tasked with several strange tasks before Gale's fight with Zeus. Those tasks might've seemed meaningless to anyone else, but with Euri already suspecting that Gale cheated Zeus in the fight, they were obviously a piece of clear evidence.
He did even more digging, even managing to seduce one of the servants working inside the royal quarter and had her allow him inside for a bit of fun. They had his find, and he managed to learn even more about what Gale did and didn't, how he managed to force Zeus to give up the fight, and how Zeus ended up chained in the sealing mountain.
A weak servant like that woman would've been eliminated in a second had she tried to oppose, but Euri had the power to change things, so he bid her farewell after lying about keeping the secret.
Euri knew that she would get killed for telling him, so before he left, he invited her to his house outside the castle. She'd be relatively safe there, at least far safer than the castle where she can get taken down silently without anyone noticing.
Euri now had to prepare. He will fix Gale's mistake and put the Titans back on the right track. He is the only one who can do it and will do it. His first stop was the castle treasury. When he was young, Gale had shown him what was inside it. Hundreds of ancient treasures and spell scrolls, each of them holding enough power to shape the kingdom and change the course of the future.
Euri needs several trinkets from the treasury to make sure Arad won't get in his way before he achieves his goal. If he is to die, then it would be after he already won.
Euri smiled as he ran toward the treasury. He had no time for a leisurely walk, and running seemed to stimulate his devilish blood, causing his blood to flow hotter and his still throbbing wounds to calm down.
But getting into the treasury won't be easy. The guards won't let anyone inside, not even him. He had to find a way to get them to let him enter without alerting Gale. The problem wasn't them letting him inside, but the part where they'll inform Gale and tell him exactly what Euri did.
Unlike humans, who had extensive security methods, the Titans only had two guards standing in front of the great vault gate.
Those two were both trusted agents of Gale, powerful and enslaved over everything to ensure they wouldn't make a single mistake. So, how would Euri get past them? It was simple. The slave contract works as best as they can understand. If they don't think that what they are doing is wrong, they won't trigger it.
