The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!-Chapter 103: Humiliate Lin Fan...?
Outside the Star Presidency Hotel’s venue, the atmosphere under the dazzling lights was lively and orderly, with celebrities walking the red carpet one after another, smiling for the cameras as flashes flickered nonstop.
Then, abruptly, that rhythm was broken.
Lin Fan stepped onto the red carpet as if he belonged there, dressed in an old shirt, jeans, and sneakers—so out of place that it immediately drew stunned gazes from reporters on both sides.
For a brief moment, no one even reacted, as if their minds couldn’t process what they were seeing.
Then the murmurs began.
"Who is that?"
"Is this some kind of stunt?"
"He just walked in like that?"
Cameras instinctively turned toward him.
The security guards quickly moved to intercept him, stepping forward with stern expressions. "Sir, please stop. This area is restricted."
Lin Fan didn’t slow down. Instead, he sneered and took out an invitation card, holding it up with casual confidence.
The guards paused, exchanged a glance, and one of them took the card to inspect it carefully.
The surrounding reporters leaned in, curiosity surging about this young man.
A few seconds later, the guard frowned slightly. "The invitation is real."
A ripple of surprise spread immediately, but before anyone could settle, he added, "But... it has no name."
That single sentence reignited suspicious looks.
"No name?"
"Could it be stolen?"
"Who even gets a nameless invitation?"
The guard’s tone turned colder as he looked at Lin Fan. "Sir, can you explain where you got this?"
Lin Fan’s expression darkened, and he let out a disdainful scoff. "People like you, judging others based on appearance... one day you’ll lose your jobs because of it."
His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried clearly enough for the surrounding reporters to hear. The arrogance in his tone stunned them.
Some frowned, some sneered, but none could ignore the strange confidence he carried.
The commotion quickly drew attention from inside the venue, and several guests stepped out to see what was happening. Among them were Han Jie, Ye Ling, and Chu Ziyuan.
The moment Han Jie saw Lin Fan, his face turned ugly, while Ye Ling’s expression stiffened with a flash of annoyance.
"Why is this loser here..." Han Jie muttered, but his voice was just loud enough for Chu Ziyuan beside him to hear.
"Oh?" Chu Ziyuan raised a brow, glancing at Lin Fan with interest. "You know him, Xiao Han?"
Han Jie immediately nodded, seizing the opportunity. "Boss Chu, this guy is a creep from Ye Ling’s college. He’s been stalking her for a while. I even beat him once, but it seems he hasn’t learned his lesson."
Ye Ling lowered her gaze slightly, adopting a subtle, wronged expression that made her look even more convincing.
Chu Ziyuan chuckled softly, the corners of his lips lifting as his eyes lingered on Ye Ling for a moment longer than necessary before shifting back to Lin Fan.
"Oh? Miss Ye’s stalker?" His tone carried faint amusement, but there was also a trace of disdain. When he stepped forward, his presence immediately drew the attention of the guards.
"Mr Chu," one of them said respectfully, "this man claims he is a guest, but the invitation card he carries has no name. We’re trying to verify his identity." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Oh?" Chu Ziyuan extended his hand casually. "Let me see."
The card was handed over, and he flipped through it briefly before nodding. "The invitation is indeed real."
Then he looked at Lin Fan, his gaze sharp and slightly mocking. "But who are you? I don’t recall inviting someone like you."
Lin Fan didn’t even bother meeting his eyes properly.
"I was invited by the Chu Family," he said coldly. "Do I need to explain it to everyone?"
The surrounding crowd fell silent for a moment, caught off guard by his attitude.
Chu Ziyuan was also slightly taken aback, but it quickly turned into a faint laugh.
"I don’t remember the Chu family having a guest like you," he replied lightly, then waved his hand. "Guards, throw him out."
At that moment, Lin Fan’s gaze sharpened. He had already realised the identity of the man in front of him.
"I was invited by Elder Zhenwu."
That single sentence caused a visible shift. Chu Ziyuan’s expression changed instantly, and even the people around them were startled.
"My grandfather?" His voice dropped, tinged with disbelief and anger. "Do you even know what level of people qualify to be his guests?"
His eyes turned cold as he looked Lin Fan up and down. "And you... Who are you supposed to be? Just a nobody."
Han Jie immediately stepped forward, adding fuel to the fire. "Boss Chu is right. This guy has always been a trouble. There’s no way someone like him deserves to be here."
Ye Ling followed smoothly, her tone soft yet firm. "He has been harassing me for a long time. Please don’t let him cause trouble tonight."
Her words were gentle, but the implication was clear.
Lin Fan’s eyes flickered with anger when he looked at the two of them, but he forced himself to remain calm.
He knew exactly how this would play out. Once Elder Zhenwu arrived, everything would reverse.
The more they tried to humiliate him now, the harder their fall would be later.
So he simply stood there, unmoving, his expression cold and composed, allowing the situation to escalate.
Not far away, Su Mo and Yang Qingxi stood together, watching the entire scene unfold as if it were a performance.
Yang Qingxi leaned slightly toward him, her voice low. "Are we taking action now?"
Su Mo shook his head without hesitation. "No need."
His calm and analytical gaze rested on Lin Fan.
"The most likely outcome is obvious. Chu Zhenwu will come out, scold his grandson in front of everyone, then acknowledge Lin Fan. From there, everyone’s curiosity will shift toward him."
Yang Qingxi’s brows furrowed slightly. "So we just watch?"
"For now," Su Mo nodded and replied casually. "If we interrupt here, it won’t achieve much. The momentum isn’t there yet."
He folded his arms, his tone almost lazy. "These kinds of scenes rely on buildup. The more they suppress him now, the stronger the reversal later. Similarly, the more attention he gets, the more effective our plan would be."
A faint smile appeared on his lips. "Only when the momentum peaks... will the effect be explosive."
Yang Qingxi looked at him, her expression subtly contorting.
"Su Mo, should we change the plan a little bit?"
"Why? Do you pity him now?"
"No, it’s just... too disgusting."
Su Mo paused and comforted.
"Just bear with it. Think of all the luck points you would get."
*Sigh* Yang Qingxi sighed and nodded. "You are right."
