Chapter 30: Chapter 29:The battle begins part 3: Brian vs pull

The battlefield was a vast, barren wasteland under the cold moonlight, illuminated only by Brian’s shimmering silver aura and Pull’s dark, oppressive presence. The night seemed alive, charged with the tension between two opposing forces: the chosen knight of the Reality God and a demon who sought to undo creation itself.

"You reek of Heaven’s arrogance," Pull sneered, his black aura swirling around him like a living shadow. "Why waste your gifts on a world that doesn’t deserve salvation?"

Brian held his glowing sword with both hands, his stance unshaken. "This world isn’t perfect, but it deserves balance—something you and your kind would destroy for your twisted ambitions."

Pull chuckled darkly. "Then let’s end the debate here and now."

Pull thrust his hands forward, his voice booming with command:

"HELL TECHNIQUE: ZERO GRAVITY!"

Instantly, the battlefield shifted as the ground below became weightless. Stones floated into the air, and even Brian felt the pull of the void as his boots lifted off the cracked earth. Pull’s black aura expanded like a vortex, consuming the space around them.

Brian narrowed his eyes. "You think this will stop me?"

The demon launched himself forward, a blur of darkness, striking with claws coated in shadow. Brian parried with his sword, the clash sending a ripple of energy through the air. Pull was relentless, his strikes coming faster and faster, forcing Brian to twist and maneuver mid-air to counter each blow.

"This is my domain, knight!" Pull hissed. "In the void, you’re nothing but prey."

Brian clenched his jaw, focusing his energy. "God of Reality, grant me your boon: Anchor of Truth!"

With a resounding pulse, a silver glyph formed beneath him, breaking the void’s hold. Gravity returned around Brian alone, anchoring him to the ground as the debris fell. Pull hesitated, caught off guard by the sudden shift.

Taking the opportunity, Brian charged forward. His sword glowed brighter with each swing, forcing Pull to retreat under a barrage of strikes. The silver blade hummed with energy, carving arcs of light through the dark aura.

Pull growled, his black aura pulsating violently. "You’re more persistent than I expected. But let’s see how long that resolve lasts."

Pull raised both hands, his voice dripping with malice:

"HELL TECHNIQUE: LIGHTLESS DOMAIN!"

The world went dark. The moonlight vanished, swallowed by an oppressive blackness. Brian’s silver aura dimmed under the crushing weight of Pull’s power.

"In my domain," Pull’s voice echoed from all directions, "there is no light, no hope. Only despair."

Brian tightened his grip on his sword, his eyes scanning the void. He could sense movement—faint ripples in the air—but not enough to strike with precision.

Then came the first blow. Pull’s claws raked across Brian’s side, drawing sparks and a pained grunt. Before Brian could react, another strike came from behind, then another from above.

"You can’t fight what you can’t see!" Pull taunted, his laughter reverberating through the darkness.

Brian steadied himself, his breathing heavy. He raised his sword high and called out, his voice unwavering:

"God of Reality, grant me your boon: Temporal Rewrite!"

A wave of silver energy erupted from Brian, dispelling the darkness and resetting the battlefield. The moonlight returned, revealing Pull mid-lunge. Brian sidestepped and countered with a powerful slash, the blade glowing with divine energy.

The attack struck true, sending Pull skidding across the ground. The demon spat black ichor, his aura flaring with rage.

"You’re starting to irritate me, knight," Pull snarled, rising to his feet. "Fine. Let’s end this farce."

Pull slammed his hands into the ground. "HELL TECHNIQUE: GRAVITY CRUSH!"

The air grew unbearably heavy. The ground cracked under the immense pressure, and Brian fell to one knee, his aura flickering.

Pull loomed over him, his black aura coiling like serpents. "Do you feel that, knight? That’s the weight of your failure. How long can you hold on?"

Brian gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stand. "I don’t fight for myself, demon. I fight for everyone who can’t." He raised his sword once more, the blade trembling under the strain. "God of Reality, grant me your boon: Reality Shatter Strike!"

A silver shockwave exploded from his blade, shattering the gravity field and forcing Pull to retreat. The ground trembled as Brian surged forward, his strikes faster and more precise.

Pull deflected with his claws, but Brian’s relentless assault began to break through his defenses. Each clash of light and shadow lit up the battlefield like lightning in a storm.

"You’re stronger than I thought," Pull admitted, his voice begrudging. "But strength alone won’t save you."

He thrust his hands forward, unleashing a barrage of black tendrils. Brian dodged and weaved, cutting through the darkness with his sword.

The Turning Point

Pull’s aura darkened further, and his voice rang out with a chilling finality:

"HELL TECHNIQUE: LIGHTLESS VOID!"

The battlefield plunged into absolute blackness again, but this time, the void was deeper, more consuming. Brian’s silver aura flickered, almost extinguished under the weight of Pull’s power.

"I told you, knight," Pull’s voice whispered, hauntingly close. "In the end, all light dies."

Brian fell to one knee, his strength waning. He closed his eyes, his thoughts turning inward.

"God of Reality," he whispered, his voice steady despite the pain. "I need your strength one last time."

His aura flared, brighter than ever, piercing through the darkness. Brian stood tall, his sword raised high. "Grant me your boon: Absolute Reformation!"

A column of silver light erupted from him, dispelling the void entirely. The moonlight returned, and Pull stumbled back, shielding his eyes from the radiant glow.

"This ends now, demon," Brian declared, his voice firm.

Both warriors charged, their powers clashing in a storm of light and shadow. Each strike shook the ground, their voices echoing with every exchange:

Pull: "You can’t stop me!"

Brian: "I already have!"

Their auras collided, creating a vortex of energy that lit up the night sky. With one final, decisive blow, Brian’s Reality Shatter Strike tore through Pull’s defenses, sending him crashing to the ground.

Pull lay motionless, his aura flickering weakly. Brian stood over him, his sword still glowing. "Leave, and never return."

Pull growled, his voice low. "This isn’t over." His body dissolved into shadows, retreating into the night.

Brian sheathed his sword, his silver aura dimming. The battlefield was silent once more, the moonlight shining down on the victorious knight.

The battlefield was in chaos. Pull’s dark aura churned violently, swallowing the moonlight and casting long, jagged shadows across the desolate land. Brian stood firm, his silver aura flaring defiantly, but the strain of the battle was beginning to show. Both warriors had pushed themselves to the brink, yet neither was willing to yield.

"You’ve fought well, knight," Pull sneered, his voice echoing like a thousand whispers. "But you’ve reached your limit. Now, I’ll show you the true power of the void!"

Brian steadied himself, gripping his glowing sword tightly. His voice was calm, unshaken. "You think I’d fall to despair? Reality bends to the will of the righteous!"

Pull smirked, his claws elongating into jagged weapons of darkness. "Let’s test that theory."

With a sudden burst of speed, Pull launched himself at Brian. "HELL TECHNIQUE: VOID RIP!"

Black tendrils erupted from the ground, moving faster than the eye could follow. They lashed out at Brian, coiling around his arms and legs before he could react. The tendrils pulled taut, stretching his limbs in four different directions.

"You’ve been a thorn in my side for far too long!" Pull growled.

Before Brian could summon his reality-altering powers, the tendrils snapped, tearing his body apart. His arms, legs, and even his head were severed from his torso in an explosion of light and blood.

Pull stood over the scattered remains, breathing heavily, his black aura swirling triumphantly. "So much for the God of Reality’s chosen knight."

He began to laugh, the sound cruel and echoing across the battlefield. But his laughter was cut short when a voice, calm and steady, pierced the air.

"God of Reality," the voice said, impossibly strong, "grant me your boon: Body Reformation!"

Silver light erupted from Brian’s severed body parts. His arms, legs, and head levitated, glowing with radiant energy as they reattached themselves to his torso. The light intensified, washing over the battlefield and forcing Pull to shield his eyes.

Brian stood whole once more, his silver aura blazing brighter than ever. His wounds were gone, and his sword shone with unyielding power. "You can’t kill me, Pull. Not while reality is on my side."

Pull snarled, his confidence faltering. "What... what are you?"

Brian stepped forward, his voice firm. "I am the Reality God’s chosen knight, and I’ll fight until the last breath to stop you."

Pull roared, his black aura swelling to monstrous proportions. The darkness began to twist and contort, forming a massive, otherworldly beast behind him. "You’ve forced my hand, knight! Behold the end: HELL TECHNIQUE: VOID DEVOURER!"

The beast of shadows lunged forward, its jaws wide enough to consume the entire battlefield. The air itself seemed to scream as it was sucked into the vortex of darkness.

Brian didn’t flinch. He raised his sword, its silver glow intensifying until it rivaled the moonlight itself. His voice rang out like a clarion call:

"God of Reality, grant me your boon: Absolute Convergence!"

A massive glyph appeared in the sky, spinning with intricate patterns of silver light. The glyph drew in the moonlight, the stars, and even the ambient energy of the battlefield, condensing it all into Brian’s sword.

The blade now burned with the full force of reality itself.

Pull unleashed the Void Devourer, the beast hurtling toward Brian with a deafening roar. At the same time, Brian leaped into the air, his sword raised high.

The two forces collided in the sky. The Void Devourer’s jaws clamped down on Brian, but his sword pierced through the darkness, splitting the beast in two. The shockwave from their clash obliterated the ground below, leaving a massive crater in its wake.

Brian pushed forward, his sword cutting through the remnants of the Void Devourer, and aimed a final strike at Pull. The demon tried to defend himself, his black aura surging in desperation, but it was no use.

"THIS IS THE END!" Brian shouted, his voice echoing like thunder.

With a mighty swing, he unleashed a massive wave of silver energy. The wave tore through Pull’s aura, shattering it like glass, and struck the demon with unrelenting force.

Pull screamed as he was blast away , his body almost destroyed. His voice lingered in the air, a final, bitter whisper:

"This isn’t over... Heaven will fall..."

The battlefield was silent once more. The silver glow of Brian’s aura faded, leaving only the soft light of the moon. He stood in the center of the crater, his sword planted in the ground, his breathing heavy but steady.

The victory was his, but he knew the war was far from over. Somewhere above, on the surface of the moon, Pull’s twin brother Push was still battling Luci, and the fate of Heaven and Hell hung in the balance.

Brian looked to the sky, his resolve unbroken. "The fight isn’t over yet. But as long as I stand, reality will endure."
