Chapter 25: Chapter 24: Battle Under the Darkened Sky

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield into a veil of twilight. Shadows stretched long, and the air grew colder, but the clash between knights and demons remained relentless. The clang of steel on steel rang out, sharp and unyielding, as sparks lit the darkness like fleeting stars. The air was thick with the scent of blood, sweat, and the acrid tang of demon essence. The knights fought valiantly, their movements precise and deliberate, while the demons countered with raw savagery, their guttural roars and unnatural screeches shaking the very ground.

Brianna stood at the forefront of the chaos, her cold, unflinching gaze scanning the battlefield. She was a force of nature, moving with deadly efficiency. Her blade cut through demons with surgical precision, cleaving through their grotesque forms as though they were paper. Exploders burst apart under her strikes, their blackened blood spraying like a grotesque fountain, staining her armor and face. Crawlers hissed and lunged, only to be bisected mid-air, their twisted bodies crumpling to the ground in pieces.

Each swing of her blade was a symphony of death, her strikes leaving a trail of destruction in her wake. Yet, despite the carnage, her expression remained impassive, her icy demeanor betraying no hint of the chaos surrounding her.

As she cut down another demon, a shadow passed overhead. Brianna looked up, her sharp eyes narrowing as a winged-hand demon descended from the sky. Its leathery wings flapped with a menacing rhythm, and its elongated arms, ending in clawed hands, flexed with malicious intent. Its grotesque visage twisted into a mocking grin.

"A winged-hand demon," Brianna muttered, her voice as cold as ice. "I’ve fought one of your kind before."

The demon chuckled darkly, its voice a raspy echo. "Is that so? Then you should know your efforts are futile."

Brianna’s gaze flickered downward for a moment, her mind racing. Her thoughts were calculated and swift. *If I look at his forehead , I’ll be caught in its illusion*,. Look at its forehead. She recalled her fight with it in the cave with luci . The faint, glowing sigil etched onto its forehead was the key. She tightened her grip on her blade, her resolve steeling.

The demon’s laughter grew louder. "What’s this? You know my trick, yet you dare face me? Foolish knight. Your knowledge won’t save you."

Brianna didn’t respond. She lunged forward, her blade arcing toward the creature with lethal intent. The demon dodged, its wings propelling it backward in a fluid motion. It countered with a swipe of its elongated claws, the force of the attack sending a gust of wind that rustled the grass beneath them.

Meanwhile, the skies above were a battleground of their own. Daniel, a gold-rank knight, stood amidst the fray as winged-hand demons circled him like vultures. Their sinister forms blotted out the faint moonlight, casting eerie shadows over the battlefield. Daniel’s silver armor glinted faintly, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

One of the demons, larger than the rest, descended toward him. Its horns were massive and twisted, and its grey skin glistened with a malevolent sheen. Its presence alone was suffocating, exuding an aura of overwhelming power.

Daniel smirked, his confidence unwavering. "You think one winged-hand demon can stop me? I’m a gold-rank knight."

The demon tilted its head, its red eyes glinting with amusement. "Ah, but you’re mistaken, knight."

"Why do you say that?" Daniel asked, his voice calm yet laced with challenge.

The demon’s grin widened, revealing rows of jagged teeth. "You see, when a demon reaches its full potential, it undergoes a transformation. It becomes either grey or black. Those who turn black... are unstoppable. I was once a mere winged-hand demon, but I ascended to something far greater. Now, I am your opponent, and this battle will be your last."

Daniel’s smirk didn’t falter. He raised his blade, its edge gleaming with an ethereal glow. "We’ll see about that."

The two clashed with a force that shook the earth. Sparks flew as Daniels blades and his wings met, and the air around them seemed to ripple from the intensity of their strikes. The demon’s power was immense, its strikes heavy and unrelenting. But Daniel matched its ferocity blow for blow, his grey aura shielding him from its devastating attacks.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Brian stood tall amidst a sea of enemies. His eyes, sharp and focused, scanned the horizon. He could feel the weight of the battle pressing down on him, but he refused to falter.

"So," he muttered to himself, his voice low but resolute, "I’ll eliminate you quickly. The king must not know we were here."

Demons swarmed him, their grotesque forms moving with unholy speed. But Brian was ready. His blade sang as it cut through the air, slicing through the demons with unparalleled precision. Each strike was deliberate, each movement a testament to his skill and determination.

As he fought, his gaze turned skyward, where push and pull were above . One of them, pull move with more menacing demons, and they let out a guttural roar and descended toward him.

Brian’s eyes narrowed. He tightened his grip on his blade and whispered, "Get ready for me to show my power." He raised his weapon high, calling upon the divine energy within him.

" Calling the God of Reality," he intoned, his voice reverberating across the battlefield. A brilliant light enveloped him, and his blade glowed with an otherworldly radiance.

The demons hesitated for a moment, its red eyes narrowing in confusion and fear. But the hesitation was short-lived. Then they all rushed Brian at the same time

Brian met its charge head-on, their clash sending a shockwave through the battlefield. The light of his blade clashed against the demon’s energy, creating a spectacle that momentarily halted the battle around them.

As the night deepened, the battle raged on. The knights fought with unwavering determination, their resolve shining brighter than the stars above. And though the demons were fierce and relentless, the knights’ courage and skill were a testament to humanity’s resilience.
