In the middle of the square, there’s a pool with crystal-clear water that continuously flows down a channel toward the base of the pillar, forming a waterfall in mid-air. The waterfall descends like a galaxy from the sky, creating a massive mist that keeps the area below Canglang Sect shrouded in mist, mysterious and elusive.

No one knows where the water comes from, nor why it continuously flows.

But everyone knows an ancestor resides in that pool, whom nobody dares to provoke.

It is the Contracted Beast of the sect’s founder, a Divine Beast. After the ascending of the sect founder, this Divine Beast remained, settling in Canglang Sect and becoming the guardian beast of the sect.

It is a Yinglong.

With a rather foul temper, no one dares approach the spring pool except for the disciples delivering food. Still, if in a bad mood, it’ll spray those disciples with water.

Usually, it lazes at the bottom of the pool, taking naps.

Sometimes it comes out to bask in the sun.
