Chapter 380: Chapter 4: The Mudslide of the Entertainment Industry

"I read all kinds of books, including history, science fiction, and so on." Ruan Tingyi smiled gracefully, responding cooperatively.

"Your interests are really broad, no wonder Tingyi knows so much." The host smiled and continued with the questions.

Gao Yuxin had lost interest in watching. She changed clothes, slammed the door shut, and left.

...

The show finally wrapped up, and Ruan Tingyi smiled and shook the host’s hand once more.

Upon returning home and closing the door, Ruan Tingyi let out a squeal, leapt onto the sofa, and sank into it.

Ruan Tingyi’s agent, Qi Feng, cast her a cold glance and said, "Mind your image."

"I’m already exhausted outside, do I still need to mind my image at home?" Ruan Tingyi crawled wearily from the sofa, then began groping under the coffee table, pulling out a bag of chips.

Qi Feng’s face darkened: "I’ve told you countless times to stop eating that junk food. How old are you, still eating these?"

Ruan Tingyi ignored him, continuing to rummage under the coffee table and pulling out a box of chocolates. Qi Feng’s face turned even darker. Ruan Tingyi kept feeling around and pulled out a box of cheesecake, and Qi Feng’s face was almost dripping with anger.

"You’ll get fat!" Qi Feng gritted his teeth and said, "Can you show some restraint? Do you realize your body type makes it easy to gain weight and hard to lose it?"

"Life is about enjoying the moment. Old Qi, want a cup of milk tea? Oh right, you health-conscious elder, how about just tea?" Ruan Tingyi giggled.

"No need!" Qi Feng was seething, "I warn you, today you can only have half a bag of chips, half a piece of cake, and three chocolates. No more. Forget about the milk tea!"

"Wow! Are you the devil?" Ruan Tingyi yelled angrily, "How can you be like this? Not being able to eat what I like is as good as killing me!"

Qi Feng sneered: "Wait until you get as big as a pig, no one will want you for a role. Oh, unless they need a 300-pound fatty? Would you take that role?"

Ruan Tingyi felt a pang of distress, wondering why she had such a sharp-tongued agent.

Qi Feng ignored her and suddenly crouched down, groping under the coffee table.

At first, Ruan Tingyi didn’t know what Qi Feng was doing, but when he pulled out two bottles of cola, her face turned pale.

"My happy water!" Ruan Tingyi wailed.

"Confiscated." Qi Feng said grumpily, "Always remember, you’re a goddess. You like reading, playing the violin, gardening, drinking coffee, and wine. Not lounging on the sofa eating chips, drinking milk tea, and whatever this happy slacker drink is. I bet you won’t feel happy when you hit 200 pounds."

"That’s just the persona I need to uphold, boohoo. My fans don’t truly love me, they love the fake me. I believe that one day, they’ll love the real me." Ruan Tingyi sobbed.

"Love you at 200 pounds?" Qi Feng quipped sarcastically.

"It’s not my fault my body type easily gains weight." Ruan Tingyi said mournfully.

"Precisely because of your body type, you need to strictly control your diet. Who told you not to like exercising?" Qi Feng said crossly, "Remember that time you gained ten pounds and couldn’t fit into your costumes? You have to remember, you’re a goddess, not a clown!"
