Chapter 396: Epilogue - Part 2

Inside her private quarters, Evara settled down in a chair before she opened the vial and drank the liquid. The magic took effect almost immediately, pulling her consciousness back to the day when she was officially betrothed to the Crown Prince of the High Realm.

Their world was initially divided into three Realms - Supernatural Realm - where all the magical beings resided, Mortal Realm - where humans lived, and finally the High Ream - where true immortals lived and ruled. Immortals were the most powerful among humans and supernatural. They could live forever unless their primordial spirits were destroyed, which was almost impossible to do.

Evara was the only daughter of the High Duke Lemar of the High Realm which made her one of the noblest lady in the entire three Realms. Not only that, but she was also the only Princess in the entire royal family in her generation. Along with her unique identity, she was also one of the most powerful immortals in the High Realm despite her young age. All these qualities made her the perfect candidate for the position of Crown Princess Consort.

However, when she recived the royal decree, Evara felt absolute anger. She was betrothed to someone she had never met before and had no feelings for. The decree not only sealed her future as the ruler of the High Realm, but also snatched away her dream of marrying the man she would love for eternity.

That was why, she tried to make her father cancel the marriage. But since it was a royal decree, it couldn’t be changed. Hence, in her anger and frustration, Evara decided to flee. She jumped into the divine portal that could lead her to the other two Realms. What she didn’t know was that the divine portal had been infected by some dark energy the day before. As a result, Evara ended up initiating her life tribulation which caused her to be born as a human in the Mortal Realm. Not only that, but the disturbance in the portal also caused her mortal form access her divine powers.

The scene of the time record started right after Evara jumped into the divine portal, creating confusion and panic among the immortals and guards who were present at the platform to witness the scene. They were already struggling to understand why the Princess jumped into the portal without them having any prior knowledge about her leaving the High Realm, when they all got to see the Crown Prince appearing there and the very next moment, he jumped into the portal too.

The disturbance in the portal worked differently this time. Crown Prince Caspian’s soul got divided into two parts. One part of his soul traveled through time and got born as a mortal in the ancient timeline of the Mortal Realm. Later, he was turned into a vampire who became the strongest among his kind. As for the second part of the soul, it got lost somewhere in the timelines.

The Emperor sent the royal army to locate Crown Prince’s second part of the soul and once they did, they shifted it to the current timeline of the Mortal Realm where it got born as a Werewolf.

The scenes shifted and then, Evara was seeing the moment when the Crown Prince’s first soul returned to the High Realm after finishing his life tribulation. He was a mess of grief and tears, and remained sitting next to the divine portal’s array for hours while looking down as if he was watching someone.

The scenes shifted again and this time, Evara got to see the second part of Crown Prince’s soul returning to the High Realm after completing the life tribulation. The two souls merged and the High Realm got its Crown Prince back safe and sound.

The record of the past ended and Evara’s consciousness returned to her body. A single tear rolled down her cheek as realization dawned over her. The two men who made her fall in love with them in the Mortal Realm were none other than the two divided parts of Crown Prince Caspian’s divine soul. Everything made sense now.

Brushing away the tear, she stood and headed outside her private quarters. Her feet were already taking her in the direction of her destination. Within ten minutes, she found herself outside the Crown Prince’s Palace.

The guards made no move to stop her as she made her way inside the palace and headed in the direction of the study, somehow confident that she would find him there. Arriving at the double doors, she stopped in her tracks and stared at the wood that was the only barrier between her and the man. Before she could have changed her mind, the door flew open and her gaze met with the dazzling cerulean blue eyes of the man who was awaiting her arrival.

Tears started running down her cheek when she finally got to take a look at Crown Prince Caspian for the first time. He had deep cerulean eyes and short silver hair that reminded her of a certain someone. However, his facial features and demeanor reminded her of a complete other person. He was the perfect fusion/blend of Kaiden and Shadow.

Before she realized what she was doing, Evara was already running toward the man. As she threw her arms around his neck and buried herself into his embrace, his arms surrounded her immediately, surrounding her in his warmth. The two stayed like that for a while before she finally puled away first.

The two of them remained silent and just stared at each other for a while before she finally spoke, "Don’t think that this will change my mind about our marriage. The men I fell in love with were Kaiden and Shadow, not the Crown Prince of High Realm."

Caspian smiled as he gazed down at her with so much warmth and love in his eyes that it was more than enough to make her melt. "I can understand. All I want is for you to give me chance so that I can win your heart all over again."

A small smile bloomed on Evara’s lips. "Then consider this my agreement seal to this deal." She whispered before closing the gap between their faces and pressing her lips against his in a passionate kiss.
