The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 302 - 299: Pointless Arguments
After leaving the hospital, Claire Hue naturally said to her, "Just like that, don’t bother with her."
The tone was indifferent, lacking any emotion, presumably because she had become accustomed to it over the years.
"Aunt, I don’t care." She couldn’t be bothered with Daisy Hue’s kind of insults; no matter what happened in the future, she had no involvement with Daisy Hue.
So why make things difficult for herself?
With those three sons, who knows what kind of life they’ll lead in the future.
"It’s good not to care. When I was young, I used to love explaining things to her, but as I grew older, I realized some things can’t be reasoned with. Do you want to go see your mom today?"
Claire Hue paused, looking at her.
These words caused a pause in her heart; at night, in solitary reflection, she would think about visiting the grave.
Not because she was too busy to visit, but because she wanted to wait until Shane Southwell and Roland were both caught and brought down before going.
It’s said that those killed do not rest in peace; then she can tell her mother that she can rest easy.
She said directly, "No, Aunt, I’ll go after things are settled."
Claire Hue didn’t say anything to that; she never liked meddling in other people’s affairs, nor would she judge others for certain things.
So she nodded and said, "Alright, can you get back on your own?"
After all, with so many bodyguards, she felt her presence would be unnecessary, and seeing the girl’s unwell state, she didn’t want to add to anyone’s trouble.
Elliana Lyle nodded and responded, "No problem, Aunt, you go inside."
"Okay, take your time on the way, and I’ll call you if there’s anything with your grandma."
After saying goodbye, her aunt watched her leave, and through the car window, she saw her aunt in white T-shirt and long jeans, slender in figure with a hint of loneliness in her eyes.
Yet, as the distance between them increased, she gradually couldn’t see her aunt’s expression clearly.
Her aunt cared for her, not good with words, and didn’t care for arguments.
She had the best relationship with her mother, often calling, and once spent the entire day on the phone, forgetting to pick her up from fourth grade.
In the end, it was Norman Bennett who brought her home.
Suddenly, she felt that childhood was really good, especially when Norman Bennett and his mother were living in South City, and her mother was still around; she used to wander everywhere.
Someone would always chase after her, shouting, "Elliana, slow down, be careful not to fall."
Every time those words were shouted, she couldn’t help but turn back to look at them, and then would immediately fall.
Landing face down.
After it happened often, they simply stopped calling her, and wouldn’t let her run anymore.
Now nothing is going smoothly, even worse than the previous life.
Maybe being someone who knows nothing, one’s mood would always be good, the only trouble might be knowing nothing.
"Let’s go to Moonlake Villas!" she told the driver.
It had been a long time since she visited her little lotus flower; maybe her little kitty could heal her.
Looking at the scenery along the way, her mind became empty, depressed and irritable, making her whole body feel weak and limp.
Life was messy, like a ball of yarn where you couldn’t find the end to start untangling; last time after handing those two over to North City police, there was no follow-up.
Perhaps the one called Blondie wasn’t willing to say anything; some people are just like that, no matter how you ask, they won’t speak.
They can really endure.
"Miss Lyle, we’ve arrived." the driver said.
Even though she heard it, she didn’t want to get out of the car at all.
Just wanted to lie there on the seat like this.
Lazily lifting her head, she signaled the driver that she understood, and then began to peacefully stay in the car.
Until she fell asleep.
In this small space inside the car, she slept very soundly, as if she had never slept so peacefully before.
She was accustomed to the scent of pines and cypresses outside the car window, which smelled wonderful.
Gradually causing one to lose the will to fight.
Eventually turning into a puddle of mud, quietly staying there.
