The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 301 - 298: Reasoning
Elliana Lyle looked at Daisy Hue, who was speaking, just as she was about to retort, her uncle spoke up.
"Say one more word, I dare you!"
This low, angry voice was like a lion’s growl, startling everyone present into silence.
But just for that moment, Daisy Hue reacted instantly, her face twisting with rage as she bared her teeth, pointing at Frank Hue: "What? Want to hit me? Are you even part of the Hue Family?"
With a sneer, she continued: "Right, you’re as short as a potato, who knows which wild offspring you are!"
"You!" Frank Hue was at a loss for words, but he was visibly furious.
Since childhood, he had endured countless insults because of his height, which had made him self-conscious.
"Second Aunt, that’s too much! Uncle is your brother!"
Elliana Lyle couldn’t stand it any longer, this second aunt was never a good person, probably relying on the fact that their grandfather was too ill to be present.
The sons raised in the family were each worse than the last, just short of committing arson and murder.
"You little brat! Raised without a mother, disrespecting your elders? If my son were here, he’d beat you, you ungrateful wretch!" Daisy Hue’s expression was like a shrew scolding in the street, her whole body of flab jiggling like she was performing a ritual dance.
Hit her? She just had her bodyguards waiting around the corner, would she lose in a true fight? She wouldn’t!
She also knew why Daisy Hue’s son didn’t show up, he just didn’t want to come, after all, they were all spoiled brats.
"Second Sis, don’t go overboard, Third Sis isn’t someone you can just lash out at, so annoying!" Younger Aunt Claire Hue said, putting on her headphones, her face showing clear impatience.
Big Sis Daisy Hue just watched, not planning to speak, only hoping for more chaos, the bigger the better.
"Younger Sis, what are you saying? Am I wrong? Isn’t she raised without a mother? I think Third Bro is a pretty good man, how did he end up with such a daughter? She must be a bastard child from a wild fling!"
"Watch your mouth!" Frank Hue took two steps forward, pointing a finger at Daisy Hue’s nose and lowly snarled: "Get out of here, we don’t need you!"
Seeing Frank Hue so aggressive, even though he was a head shorter than Daisy Hue, she felt intimidated.
She immediately hid behind Daisy Hue: "Big Sis, look at Little Four!"
"Oh, alright, alright, we’re all one family, why are you all arguing?" Daisy Hue played the peacemaker card.
Then, with a troubled look, she said to Elliana Lyle: "I say, girl, why do you start arguing with the elders as soon as you arrive? Your mother passed away early, but that doesn’t mean you should truly become an ill-mannered child!"
This condescending attitude from the elder was really too much, she wasn’t here to argue today.
Suppressing her anger, she said, "Big Aunt is right."
Then she lowered her head to continue comforting her aunt, avoiding further argument.
Immediately, Daisy Hue pointed at her, cursing: "You little slut, what’s with your attitude? Your Big Aunt is talking to you, and you’re just brushing it off? Didn’t your family teach you any manners?"
Just then, a nurse came out and said to them: "Families, please keep it down, this is a hospital, the patient is in surgery, no loud noise, if you want to argue, take it outside."
Daisy Hue quickly shut up, while Daisy Hue grinned, nodding to the nurse.
After the nurse left, Daisy Hue adjusted her coat that couldn’t fit her, sat down, and continued cursing: "Little bastard! Two little bastards, you’ll end up just like that little bastard!"
The cursing was much quieter.
But these words made her aunt cry even harder, the aunt being a woman spoiled by the uncle, probably hadn’t been scolded much in her life.
How could she withstand this kind of shrewish scolding from Daisy Hue?
Besides, she was already heartbroken over her missing daughter, how could any parent bear others speaking of their daughter this way?
Daisy Hue didn’t stop: "How did your mother give birth to a jinx like you?"
Elliana Lyle sighed, not refuting, just patting her aunt’s back and softly comforting: "It’s okay, Auntie, it’s okay."
"You little mutt, pfft!"
"Haven’t you had enough?" Her uncle angrily rebuked Daisy Hue.
This second sister was always unreasonable and loved to gossip; usually, their mother held her in check, but now that something happened to their mother, she acted with impunity.
Daisy Hue then stood up, looked around, and said: "Alright, alright, let’s say a few less words, this girl Elliana, just showing up and stirring trouble in the Hue Family."
That’s probably... why she didn’t want to come, Big Aunt and Second Aunt couldn’t even be described as unreasonable anymore.
They all thought she would fight for the Hue Family property, especially with their granny critically ill.
Everyone only thought about splitting the money.
Letting go of her aunt, who was crying uncontrollably, she walked directly to her uncle’s side, her eyes were dangerous.
It did frighten Daisy Hue for a moment, her heart a bit panicked.
But only for a moment. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"Hey, you little mutt! Threatening your elder now?"
Ignoring Daisy Hue’s tirade, she said tiredly to her uncle: "Uncle, it’s fine, take care of Auntie, let me know when grandma’s surgery is over."
She was really tired, had no heart to engage in these arguments, afraid she’d do something rash.
Her uncle looked at her with pity, patting her head gently: "Good girl, go, no need to stay and take the abuse."
At this moment, Younger Aunt also took off her headphones, saying to Elliana Lyle: "I’ll walk you down."
"Hmph." Daisy Hue crossed her arms, snorting, her tone sharp and sour: "Already leaving? To those who know, it seems you’re visiting your grandma; to those who don’t, it looks like you’re here hoping the old lady dies for a share of the inheritance!"
She was about to leave, but with this remark, Claire Hue couldn’t stand it anymore.
Slowly turning back, she looked at Daisy Hue and said: "Second Sis, you’ve insulted the deceased Third Sis, slandered Claire, cursed your own brother, all to keep others from taking your share of the inheritance, you must realize, not everyone is as money-minded as you."
The truth laid bare, Daisy Hue’s face turned red, yet she still stubbornly cursed: "Don’t put a hat on me! Is it wrong to curse her? Her dead mom was a slut! She insisted on marrying into the Lyle family against our wishes..."
She just wanted to visit her grandmother, really didn’t want any ties with the so-called Second Aunt and Big Aunt.
Considering she was her second aunt, she restrained her impulses, also for the grandmother still in surgery.
Anyway, there would be no further entanglement, why waste time here with Daisy Hue?
"Younger Aunt, Uncle, Auntie, I’m leaving now, give me a call about grandma’s situation."
Frank Hue nodded and said, "Okay, take care on the road."
"Let’s go." Claire Hue put an arm around her shoulder and said: "Younger Aunt will take you home."
