The CEO's Substitute Ex-Wife-Chapter 505: The haircut
After Long Chengtian’s declaration of pursuing his wife, Mo Yao and Mo Chen found his courage commendable and thought he wasn’t as annoying as before. So, Long Chengtian openly moved into the Mo family home.
Mo Chen arranged for him to stay in a villa opposite Wu Shuang’s, with a window facing her room. Wu Shuang didn’t mind; if Long Chengtian wanted to stay, so be it. Since Mo Yao and Mo Chen didn’t object, she didn’t bother to offer any suggestions. For
the past few days, Wu Shuang had been showing Ghost Face around, familiarizing him with the mafia’s operations and his role. Since Ghost Face was an assassin, Mo Yao and Mo Chen, with his consent, agreed that he would be better suited to lead the assassination organization and oversee training. Ghost Face also expressed interest in this type of work. Originally, Mo Yao was partly responsible for the complexities, and Wu Shuang was partly responsible, making things much easier for Mo Yao this way.
Long Chengtian, being a clever fellow, followed Wu Shuang everywhere, perfectly fulfilling his vow to pursue his wife. Mo Yao and Mo Chen were happy to watch the show, resulting in a scene where Wu Shuang was always accompanied by two handsome men whenever she appeared.
Back in Rome, Wushuang mostly showed her true face. Ghost Face also removed his mask and donned a human skin; none of them had ever seen what he actually looked like. Mo Chen, judging from his features, assumed he was quite handsome. He was a trained assassin, not as tall as Long Chengtian, but more like Mo Yao and Mo Chen—lean and slender, not as bulky. However, in a suit, he was a dashing, incredibly cool man.
Wushuang introduced him to Mafia affairs and the Roman environment. Ghost Face rarely frequented Italy; he primarily operated in North America and the Middle East, with very little activity in Europe. Whenever
she took Ghost Face out, Long Chengtian always accompanied them. Mo Chen watched from behind, always smiling. It was always Wushuang who pursued whoever she fancied; Long Chengtian was the first man in history to pursue her.
Not everyone had the courage to pursue the Queen.
Two men, one cold and irritable, the other icy and sharp, flanked Wushuang, a stunningly beautiful queen, creating quite a spectacle. Their approach to the hair salon was...
unusually comical!
The salon’s stylists, shampoo girls, and customers all turned to look at them.
Wushuang was impeccably dressed in a white shirt, black blouse, and silver chain—her usual standard attire. Her long, flowing black hair reached her waist, and her features were exquisite, with captivating purple eyes. She exuded an aura of absolute dominance from the moment she entered the salon. The two men beside her were dressed formally, wearing sunglasses and designer brands. Handsome, tall, and imposing, they looked like young ladies from noble families getting their hair done. While they
appeared to be bodyguards, their demeanor was anything but. The women in the salon stared at them, especially Long Chengtian, who hated being looked at like that, as if he’d never seen a man die. His irritating gaze swept across the room, making everyone shrink back in fear.
The salon’s stylist recognized Mo Wushuang; she’d been there a few times with Mo Xiaobai, and he knew she was Mo Xiaobai’s sister. Wushuang was there to get her hair permed. She’d kept her long hair for ten years, trimming it herself whenever it grew a little, never going to a salon. When she wanted a new look, she always wore a wig, rarely doing anything with her own long hair. This time, she’d suddenly decided to get her hair done, though she was actually a little reluctant.
The stylist was a handsome Italian man with dazzling blond hair, exceptionally beautiful and shiny. He let Wushuang choose a style and hair color, suggesting she shouldn’t cut it, as her hair was healthy and her long, smooth hair looked beautiful.
Wushuang beckoned Guimian over, flipping through the styles and asking him which looked best. Guimian’s ears turned slightly red; he thought Wushuang looked good with any style, that she didn’t need a haircut or perms to look good.
This way, she’d be even more eye-catching.
Long Chengtian gritted his teeth, staring at Wushuang’s retreating figure. He moved closer, and for the past few days, Wushuang and Guimian had been ignoring him, working together to keep
him in the dark. He was used to Wushuang’s personality and didn’t mind her behavior; as long as she was bold and shameless, the atmosphere was still harmonious. "Why did you get this hairstyle? It looks so good as it is," Long Chengtian scoffed. He really didn’t know what was wrong with Wushuang, insisting on getting a perm. Did she really need a hairstyle?
"I can look even better," Wushuang said confidently, looking in the mirror. She had been wearing this hairstyle for so many years and was tired of it. Just like some things, after so many years, it was time to learn to let go and move on.
She could be more carefree.
Smiling at herself in the mirror, Wushuang asked Guimian, "Which one looks better?"
Guimian and Long Chengtian simultaneously pointed to one of the hairstyles—a large, wavy perm. The model’s face shape was very similar to Wushuang’s, both having oval faces that were even and beautiful. Dyed flaxen, it looked particularly charming.
Long Chengtian glanced indifferently at Guimian, who raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by their shared opinion. Wushuang, too lazy to choose, simply had the hairstylist do her current hairstyle.
She firmly believed that models look good no matter what.
The haircut took six hours. Guimian, a man of great patience, showed no signs of frustration, having grown accustomed to maintaining the same posture for extended periods.
Long Chengtian, on the other hand, was unusually quiet, his temper flaring and patience failing him.
The two occupied opposite sides of the sofa, neither speaking to the other, like strangers. One stared blankly into his mind, the other engrossed in a magazine, creating an eerie atmosphere. While Wushuang was getting her hair done, she suggested, "Guimian, why don’t you get a haircut too?" Guimian
shook his head. He never allowed anyone to touch his head; as an assassin, it was a taboo. Therefore, he always cut his own hair, resulting in a very conservative style.
Long Chengtian squinted and asked, "Why didn’t you ask me?"
"With your buzz cut, what hairstyle can you get? Shave your head?" Wushuang teased. Long Chengtian’s face hardened, anger rising. Guimian’s lips curved slightly. Wushuang sometimes had a rather mischievous sense of humor, especially enjoying teasing Long Chengtian.
Long Chengtian was quite... susceptible to her charms, always getting thoroughly enraged.
Guimian remembered asking Wushuang a question yesterday evening while watching the sunset. He knew Long Chengtian seemed quite good, and she could consider giving him a try. He knew Wushuang was actually very tired; letting go of so many years of relationships inevitably left her feeling empty.
Wushuang’s answer was that she wouldn’t give her heart away again.
