Chapter 485: Heading Home

Mò Yáo was unlike Mò Xiǎobái, who would talk nonsense with Wushuang. He got straight to the point. While she was in a coma, it was inadvisable to move her. Now that she was awake, there was little point in staying here. The facilities in Rome were not much worse than those of the First Terror Organization, and her remaining injuries were superficial; she was out of danger.

"I’m going back to Rome," Wushuang said faintly, with almost no hesitation.

Mò Xiǎobái and Mò Yáo exchanged a look. Mò Yáo nodded. "Good. I’ll make the arrangements. If all goes smoothly, we’ll leave the day after tomorrow."

They had been away for some time. Mò Chén had been complaining endlessly over there. The four subordinates, Wind, Cloud, Thunder, and Lightning, had all tearfully complained to Mò Yáo. While Mò Chén could manage alone without the versatile Mò Yáo, things inevitably got a bit chaotic.

"Sis, you don’t have to leave so soon," Mò Xiǎobái said with a grin. "I thought you’d want to stay a couple more days."

"I don’t mind if you want to stay!" Wushuang said with a cold smile. She knew Mò Yáo and Mò Xiǎobái were unhappy, so no matter how much she personally wanted to stay, she didn’t want to anymore. Not many people here wanted them to stay.

They wouldn’t be so tactless. As for Kaka... Wushuang felt a dull ache in her heart, but dismissed it. Forget it.

"Big Brother, you take over and handle this matter," Wushuang instructed. She always kept business and personal matters separate. "No need to trouble Kaka."

"Alright," Mò Yáo nodded. Even if Wushuang hadn’t asked, he would have done so. In fact, he had already instructed Mò Chén to secretly contact the Duke and arrange compensation through a private deal. Wushuang raised an eyebrow. "Are you confident you can sort it out?"

The acceptance was a little too casual, wasn’t it?

Over the years, Mò Yáo had become increasingly taciturn. He handled everything perfectly, but rarely spoke much.

Mò Yáo slightly lifted his eyelids. "The Duke has a whole family. If he doesn’t want his family of over ten people to go to the underworld to share familial bliss, I think it won’t be difficult to resolve."

Mò Xiǎobái burst out laughing. Wushuang pinched his waist, and he struggled not to cry out. Big Brother could be quite funny sometimes. He spoke with such a fierce tone, yet it somehow sounded amusing.

Was this the legendary deadpan joke?

Mò Yáo seemed not to understand what he was laughing at, but Mò Xiǎobái’s laughter seemed to slightly lift his mood. His brow wasn’t furrowed as tightly, and his lips even held an imperceptible smile...

At dawn, Fāng Jiāqí came to give Wushuang a thorough examination. The Vermilion Bird followed her. Mò Xiǎobái was preparing mashed apple for his sister nearby. Ghost Face sat quietly to the side. Mò Xiǎobái occasionally teased Ghost Face. Ghost Face kept a straight face as he watched him. Mò Xiǎobái was someone who could cheer up anyone. Before long, he forced Ghost Face to join him in mashing apples. Ghost Face, a grown man who had never done such a thing, was extremely embarrassed. Chǔchǔ cheered them on, making it a competition to see who could mash more. Wushuang couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

The examination was complete. There were no serious problems. Her blood pressure and other vital signs had returned to normal.

Fāng Jiāqí said with a smile, "After one or two months of rest, there should be no problems. Pay close attention to your left arm. I don’t need to elaborate; you know yourself."

Wushuang nodded and said with a smile, "Thanks."

"It’s my duty," Fāng Jiāqí said, then smiled and reminded her of a few precautions.

The Vermilion Bird said, "Miss Wushuang was able to escape danger this time entirely thanks to Jiāqí. It was truly a close call."

Wushuang slightly curved her lips. Mò Xiǎobái angrily stabbed his fork into the apple. Ghost Face glanced at him. Having been with him for over twenty days, he knew the man’s temper inside out and figured Mò Xiǎobái would probably pull out the Vermilion Bird’s teeth today.

Chǔchǔ called out, "Sister Wushuang, you’re even prettier than the last time I saw you."

"Lying through your teeth," the Vermilion Bird muttered. She had a scar on her forehead. How could she be pretty?

"Little Darling, your mouth is getting sweeter and sweeter. Go use that to coax your Brother Mùhán," Wushuang said, ignoring the Vermilion Bird’s gossiping. Regarding her looks, the person she cared about didn’t mind, so what others said didn’t affect her.

Chǔchǔ laughed loudly and said, "It’s true! Even if you drew two big X’s on your face, you’d still be the prettiest woman in my and my brother’s eyes."

Fāng Jiāqí glanced at Chǔchǔ and smiled faintly. Wushuang raised an eyebrow. "Isn’t the prettiest woman in your eyes your Mommy?"

"You and Mommy rank first equally!" Chǔchǔ was quick to adapt. She walked over with a smile, playfully looking at the scar on Wushuang’s forehead. "Don’t worry, Sister. I have a way to make it disappear within a month."

Though young, Chǔchǔ was a highly gifted pharmacologist who had surpassed Róng Yán’s expertise and was far exceeding expectations. Many of the First Terror Organization’s unusual ointments were the result of this little girl’s experiments.

"One month?"

"Of course," Chǔchǔ said proudly, rubbing her chin. "But I think keeping it as a souvenir would be nice. It’s a reminder of your life-and-death ordeal with my brother."

Mò Xiǎobái smiled like a blooming flower. *Little Darling Chǔchǔ, you are truly on point.*

Wushuang said, "You want it? I’ll give it to you. Come here and I’ll cut one on you."

"No way! My face is so delicate. How ugly would it be with another scar?" Chǔchǔ held her face, trying to look cute. Wushuang was amused. Chǔchǔ affectionately sat next to her. "Tomorrow, I’ll give you some ointment. Your back wound will heal very quickly. And the bone fracture is child’s play; it’s too simple. You’ll be running and jumping within a month, with absolutely no bone overgrowth."

"Such a good girl."

"Then give me a reward." Chǔchǔ brought her face closer. Wushuang kissed her cheek. The Little Darling’s face lit up. "Sister Wushuang, the texture of your lips is just wonderful."

Mò Xiǎobái laughed. "Isn’t your Brother Mùhán’s lips wonderful too?"

Chǔchǔ blinked her incredibly cute eyes. "Brother Xiǎobái, do you want to try it yourself?"

"I’ll go try tonight."

"Go ahead! Go ahead! Welcome a threesome!" Chǔchǔ applauded. Fāng Jiāqí said with a smile, "Chǔchǔ, you’re still young. Why are you saying such vulgar things?"

Chǔchǔ raised an eyebrow and asked, smiling, "Isn’t this a normal conversation?"

She seemed genuinely confused, with an innocent expression. Fāng Jiāqí smiled and casually added a reminder, "I’m going to see Nánfēng. You all chat."

Wushuang nodded. Fāng Jiāqí and the Vermilion Bird left the hospital room. Mò Xiǎobái brought the mashed apple over and kissed the Little Darling. "You’re getting more and more likable. Why don’t you consider throwing yourself into Brother Xiǎobái’s arms?"

The Little Darling tilted her head, thinking seriously, very seriously. Finally, she pouted, touching her mouth with her index finger. "But... your lips don’t feel as good as Brother Mùhán’s. I feel like I’d be at a disadvantage."
