The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 55: Yelena Hughes, You’re Free Now
Afterward, Yelena Hughes felt as if she had fallen apart.
She didn’t want to move, couldn’t move, and felt uncomfortable all over. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Yet Jasper Yale was pressing down on her back, and Yelena Hughes slightly moved her fingers, "Young Master, you’re heavy."
"Let me lie here for a while."
If you want to lie down, then roll over and lie on the bed.
Jasper Yale brushed aside her hair from her cheek, revealing her entire face, "I promised you, from tomorrow on, you’re free."
Yelena Hughes’ eyelashes fluttered as she turned to look at him, "Really?"
"The medication will be on the market next month; I’ll give you the remaining supply all at once."
Her heart was filled with joy, and her eyes instantly brightened. Her smile became radiant and vivid, bringing life to her expression.
Jasper Yale had already made up his mind from the moment he was called away today.
To give her the medication.
The Sovereign Club was never the place for her, and if Nancy Alden’s grudge couldn’t be erased, he wouldn’t care anymore.
"Thank you, Young Master."
"I’m afraid if you stay any longer, The Pervert Thorne will end up killing you."
Jasper Yale had to admit, whether it was because Yelena Hughes was good company, or for some other reason, he couldn’t quite let her go.
"Yelena Hughes, have you thought about the future?"
Of course she had thought about it; she survived each day on those faint hopes.
"Once my sister has the medication, our lives can get on track. However, her illness is so severe that I don’t know how long the Heart Protection Peace can sustain her. I hope she can have surgery one day to completely heal her heart."
When Yelena Hughes talked about her family, her expression was gentle, and her eyes were bright with hope, "I also want to earn a lot of money to buy my sister a new house."
See, her dreams didn’t include him.
"I wasn’t asking about that," who would be interested in her family? Jasper Yale grasped her chin, "What if I want to sleep with you in the future?"
Yelena Hughes gasped; she couldn’t exactly tell Jasper Yale to his face that she wanted to stay far away from him, could she?
"Young Master, will Miss Alden’s legs recover?"
"Yes."
Then go sleep with her.
Yelena Hughes quickly changed the subject, "You’re really crushing me, truly."
The trembling energy had also passed, and Jasper Yale turned over to lie beside Yelena Hughes, tracing his fingers over the side of her ear, "I’ll call you when I want you."
Yelena Hughes’ expression shifted, but to get the remaining medication, she could only force a smile.
"Oh."
Now she could start planning; soon, she wouldn’t have to rely on Young Master Yale. How could she get rid of him then?
In the morning, sunlight filtered through the dense leaves and fell, with Nancy Alden’s wheelchair placed at the door. There were quite a few bloodstains on the steps, all dried by now.
She was staring at those spots of blood, "Josephine, who was the woman who came looking for Jasper Yale last night?"
Josephine brought a bucket of water over, bending down to speak softly, "I asked around, she was a hostess from The Sovereign Club. If she hadn’t forced her way in, Young Master wouldn’t have known about it last night."
Nancy Alden tightened her grip, looking at the sky, "He’ll be back soon, right?"
"Of course, Young Master wouldn’t leave you home alone."
Josephine quickly cleaned up the bloodstains on the ground. The two mastiffs, as if knowing they were in trouble, lay there motionless.
Nancy Alden said viciously, "Useless creatures, you beasts don’t have to pay for killing someone."
Her eyelids were darkly shadowed; she hadn’t slept well at all last night, imagining Jasper Yale and Yelena Hughes tangled up on a bed. She felt like she was going crazy.
When Jasper Yale returned, it was already evening.
Nancy Alden heard the commotion and wheeled over, immediately noticing that Jasper Yale had changed his clothes.
"About to have dinner?" Jasper Yale asked nonchalantly as he headed towards Nancy Alden.
"Yes." Nancy Alden’s voice was a bit hoarse.
Jasper Yale glanced at her face, "Didn’t sleep well?"
She looked utterly exhausted and appeared weak. Nancy Alden grabbed Jasper Yale’s sleeve, "What happened with Yelena Hughes? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing serious."
Jasper Yale seemed unwilling to bring it up.
Nancy Alden, however, looked tense and filled with guilt, "Jasper, did I harm her? I thought about it all night last night. The more I thought about it, the more scared I got. I shouldn’t have..."
"She’s fine." Jasper Yale held Nancy Alden’s hand in return, finding it cold.
She hugged his waist, resting her head against his front, "Why did I become like this? I was angry she spent time with you. I sent her to The Sovereign Club, and didn’t give her all the medication at once. Tell me, she’s not really in trouble, is she? That kind of guilt would kill me."
Nancy Alden looked up at Jasper Yale, her eyes a pool of worry.
She seemed genuinely afraid and regretful, leading Jasper Yale’s tone to soften, "Don’t worry, it was just a close call."
Nancy Alden’s heart sank upon hearing that; Jasper Yale indeed knew everything.
Fortunately, she had confessed everything before Jasper Yale could question her.
"I’m sorry." Nancy Alden’s eyes turned red, unable to hold back her tears, "I didn’t realize how chaotic it was in there."
After all, she had been a pampered princess raised in the Alden Family, "I thought it was just a matter of keeping company, Jasper, I’m sorry..."
Josephine emerged from the kitchen, looking surprised, "Why are you crying?"
Nancy Alden kept sobbing while Jasper Yale frowned slightly, not wanting to see her in such distress.
"Young Master, ever since she woke up and found she couldn’t stand, her mood has been bad. Seeing you not come back last night, she didn’t sleep all night. No matter how good the health is, it can’t take this sort of strain..."
Isn’t that right?
Nancy Alden had gone through such a major change; why should he argue with her over so much?
Nancy Alden tugged on Jasper Yale’s shirt, her tone soft, "I’ll have Josephine personally go tomorrow to deliver the remaining medication to her, okay? She won’t need to go to The Sovereign Club anymore. If it’s possible, I’d like to apologize to her personally."
Jasper Yale’s gaze lingered on Nancy Alden’s face, wiping away her tears at the corner of her eyes.
"Giving her the medication is fine; an apology isn’t needed."
While Nancy Alden did make mistakes, it wasn’t to the extent of needing her to apologize to Yelena Hughes.
Just giving her the medication was enough.
After leaving Mount Arden Villa, Yelena Hughes first went to find Madeline Forest.
The wound had already been treated, with stitches left on one of her arms. Madeline Forest seemed indifferent, "It’s nothing, really, the scar will fade quickly. By then, I’ll get a tattoo over it, it’ll be beautiful."
But she was a pretty young lady, a person who would cry just over a bad haircut.
"Madeline, thank you."
Madeline Forest hugged Yelena Hughes, "Don’t mention it; if it were you, you’d do the same."
She felt it was worth it; after all, her face wasn’t hurt, and Chester even came to visit her at home with a red envelope.
Chester, too, was kind, knowing they hadn’t been much help to Yelena Hughes, and so bought Madeline many things.
From that night on, Yelena Hughes no longer went to The Sovereign Club.
She returned home early, bought fish and meat, and prepared a big feast for her family.
That night, she was asleep by nine o’clock, sleeping soundly until dawn, something she hadn’t experienced in a long time.
The next morning, Yelena Hughes almost overslept; she hurried downstairs, tying up her hair as she went.
She was in such a rush that she didn’t notice the car parked in the parking lot.
Until a car horn sounded repeatedly, Yelena Hughes turned around to see the backseat window roll down.
"Miss Hughes."
Yelena Hughes walked over and found it was Nancy Alden.
She handed over a bag, "This is for you."
Yelena Hughes took it, opened it, and found several boxes of medication inside.
Jasper Yale was also there, his voice indifferent, as if he were talking to a stranger, "Nancy insisted on delivering it herself so she could feel at ease."
Yelena Hughes didn’t bother wasting a smile, just pulling the corners of her lips perfunctorily, "Thank you, Miss Alden."
"Yelena Hughes, I didn’t know you had an accident, I didn’t..."
Jasper Yale interrupted Nancy Alden, "Her accident had nothing to do with you, don’t take everything upon yourself."
Upon hearing this, Yelena Hughes’ fingers gripped the bag tighter.
