The Cannon-Fodder Villainess Faked Her Death, Her Five Beast Mates Go Wild-Chapter 167: Attempted Rescue
Romande was caught off guard, facing a pair of beautiful eyes glowing with an amber halo, with long black lashes trembling silently, his figure paused in place.
"Dismiss the guards at the door."
Seeing his black-gold pupils daze, Wen Shu coldly ordered.
As she prepared to turn over and sit up, her restrained wrists suddenly broke free, and he grabbed her hands, pressing them above her head.
"This really is... surprising!"
With his voice, two faint "clink" sounds rang by the ear, as her wrists were locked into two cold iron shackles.
Romande leaned down, his tall body casting a shadow over the bed canopy, a glimmer of astonishment flashing in his dark eyes.
"No wonder, you carry this with you." He raised an eyebrow and chuckled, taking out a familiar Magnetic Stone Ball from his pocket, lightly holding it in his palm, "Female, you’re truly something."
Wen Shu brushed her fingertip along the edge of the shackle, quietly probing, her lips tightly pressed, stalling for time, "I don’t trust any of you. If you’re truly a good person, then let me go."
Her gaze was sharp, her disheveled long hair spread over the bed, accentuating her smooth, snowy white skin, a cold allure making it impossible to look away.
Romande’s pupils dilated a bit as his gaze swept over her brows concealing coldness, growing increasingly pleased.
Finally understanding a little, he realized what Luo Fei and Rah saw in her.
Like a child with a new toy, he cupped Wen Shu’s face, coarsely rubbing his thumb across the corner of her eye, leaving red marks, his gaze growing more profound.
"It’s okay,"
Romande sighed softly, the line of his red lips curling up, "You don’t trust me now, but that doesn’t mean you won’t in the future. We have plenty of time, we can take it slow..."
He leaned down slightly, pressing a kiss on the side of Wen Shu’s face, inhaling her subtle scent, his lips curling in pleasure.
"I have business to attend to, once it’s handled, I’ll come back to accompany you."
His gentle, hoarse tone murmured at her ear.
His gaze swept over the shackles at the bedside, seeing the red marks on her wrists, his eyes grew a bit darker, rubbing his thumb, he left the room.
He didn’t look back, confident just like Luo Fei.
The door creaked shut.
Once Wen Shu confirmed he had left, her fingertip extended half a sharp claw, aiming for the clasp of the magnetic shackles, she skillfully unlatched them with a quick flick.
Retrieving a poison spike from the head of the bed, she followed the route she remembered, heading straight to the dungeon.
As soon as she stepped into the dim cell, she heard the sound of flesh tearing coming from the farthest corner.
Thinking of who might be there, Wen Shu’s brows furrowed slightly, she knocked out the executioner with her spike, but did not rescue Luo Fei immediately, instead heading toward Rah.
He had lost too much blood and had fallen into a coma.
Wen Shu sliced through the confinement crafted from magnetics, pulling him into her embrace, swiftly beginning treatment.
Under the ethereal white glow, the gaping wounds on Rah’s body slowly mended.
Feeling the familiar comfort, he grasped Wen Shu’s wrist as his blue eyes slowly opened, recognizing her face awash with light, a faint smile lifted his lips.
"Female, you’ve finally come..."
Meeting his heated gaze, Wen Shu’s palm glowed hesitantly for a few seconds before she averted her eyes, speaking in a low voice, "Rah, I need you to make a Beast God Contract."
She pressed her lips tightly together, her emotions complicated and indistinguishable, her request was met with his unwavering response at her ear.
"Of course, what does the female need me to do?"
His gaze was intense and fervent, his handsome and profound face clinging desperately to Wen Shu’s sight.
"Help me rescue Luo Fei, take us to the Yisha Empire, and promise never to capture or threaten me again..."
He would help her without needing the Beast God Contract.
Rah blinked, not quite comprehending, but repeated each word nonetheless.
He couldn’t wait to get up, lifting Wen Shu and pushing open the cell door, "Shall we go?"
But before they could step away, a slight tremor resonated overhead, orderly heavy footsteps slowly approached.
Romande had discovered them.
Wen Shu hesitated no more, gripping the hand at her waist tightly, her palm flickering with white light, she murmured to Rah, "I will miss you."
Her voice was extremely light, yet Rah heard it clearly, even sensing something amiss.
He understood that in his current state, he was more of a hindrance than a help to the female.
But the original "Rah" was never worthy of the female.
"Female, don’t..."
As his chaotic thoughts gradually cleared.
He tried to pull away and refuse, but upon seeing the female’s tearful eyes, his heart was seized by an indescribable bittersweetness.
Was she reluctant to let him go?
Could it be that she had begun to like him even just a little?
Such bliss...
Rah’s eyes tinged with red, his lips curved slightly into a smile, softly inquiring, "Female, I want so much to kiss you, may I?"
The husky murmur, slightly distorted, hovered tenderly over the heart.
Wen Shu’s long lashes fluttered, and she looked into his tear-filled eyes, her heart seemed to constrict gently as a wave of melancholy surged forth.
The shadowy majestic brows and eyes slowly magnified before her eyes.
She remained still, staring into those pure blue eyes, her breath catching for a moment, she slightly tilted her face up, lightly kissing the cool softness.
A gentle, fleeting kiss.
Those moist blue eyes curved into a smile.
Wen Shu pressed her hand against his chest, retreating a fist’s distance away.
But before she could fully react, a cold, firm hand suddenly grasped her nape, brusquely pulling her into an embrace.
"Ugh!"
The brutal force crushed tender lips, stirring a faint sting.
Her breath was seized, the coarse large hand rubbed her nape, leaving red marks, aggressively gripping her chin, conquering.
Wen Shu’s eyes misted with tears, her gaze catching a fleeting dark torch in those blue eyes, which had lost their clarity, kindling with a sinister dark fire and deep desire.
Her tongue felt as if rolled over with sand, the pungent metallic taste filled her mouth.
Wen Shu found it hard to breathe, her chest aching painfully from being so confined, she angrily bit down hard.
"Hiss—"
Rah’s brows furrowed, wiping the corner of his lips with a fingertip, his gaze swept over her swollen lips, eliciting a low chuckle from his chest, "Do you like that fool more?"
He embraced Wen Shu’s waist, towering over her, pushing her into a narrow corner, his hand cupping her beautiful face.
Feeling the fervent pounding of his heart, a deeper smile crept into his eyes, "Female..."
He slowly leaned down, like a fierce beast, hiding his bloodstained fangs, gently brushing her lips.
"It’s me."
Familiar words made Wen Shu’s breath catch.
And just a moment of distraction, and the Rah before her couldn’t hold back anymore, biting that softness as if to devour her whole.
Facing his eyes shrouded in dark red mist, Wen Shu finally realized, that the man before her couldn’t possibly be the Rah she knew.
Her lips sticky with something, she frowned tightly, sharply kneeing him away, "Get off!"
"Uh—"
A muffled voice of pain came from above, the grip loosened slightly.
Wen Shu tried her best to ignore, that spine-chilling sensation, taking the opportunity to press his arm, yet was roughly restrained instead.
Rah’s eyes briefly flashed with displeasure, but a smile played at his lips, "How can you destroy this thing and still enjoy yourself, female."
Understanding what he meant, Wen Shu frowned so deeply she could crush a fly with it.
She stepped back repeatedly, vigorously wiping her lips, "Romande’s men are coming, do you want to die?"
Upon hearing this, Rah’s face shifted slightly, eyes locked onto Wen Shu’s face, as though recalling something, a shadow of murderous intent sweeping across his eyes.
"Romande..."
