The Broken Halo-Chapter 176: Scream of Pain
The Year Two Initiate and every other person that was in the cafeteria thought they were hearing things.
Was a Yea One Initiate truly exploiting a bunch of Year Two Initiates?
What was going on?
Who gave him the balls?
Simon could hear the whispers, murmurs, and words of every demon that was in the cafeteria, but his gaze remained the same.
He knew why everybody, even the four Year Two Initiates were giving him weird looks after listening to his words.
There was a single reason why everybody thought he was foolish, and that’s because of the difference between Year One and Year Two Initiates.
Aside from the fact that Year Two Initiates had survived and passed the brutal graduation requirements of Year One, many of them were Archfiends.
The clan did not forbid fighting between students, but using one’s chaos in any location that was not the Battle Arena was against the rules.
And what was the core difference between an Archfiend and the lower ranks?
Chaos
It was when one became an Archfiend they began to control their chaos.
Although it was very surprising and shocking to those who were observant enough to see that Simon, who was a Lesser Demon, was able to fend off and counter the surprise and vicious assault of four Archfiends.
Granted, these Archfiends were just Minor Archfiends.
Some did not contemplate on the fact that Simon had the physical capabilities to defeat and hurt four Minor Archfiends as a Lesser Demon, and this was because they were truly shocked by the fact that Simon dared to extort his seniors.
Wasn’t he afraid of getting attacked outside by the academy?
Outside the academy, there was nothing that said one could not use their chaos... Especially when it involved killing a mere slave.
When the four Year Two Initiates saw that Simon was not joking, they looked at one another, wondering if they had heard wrong.
Sigh
Simon released an annoyed sigh, then he slammed his foot on the face of the metal-masked Initiate with even more force.
Bang!
Crack!
"Arrgghh."
"Do you think I’m joking? Pay up or suffer the consequences." Simon said with a dark and cold gaze, causing a few with sharp senses to frown.
There was just something about Simon’s gaze that unnerved them.
The only Year Two Initiate who was not in pain because Simon had not attacked him after dodging his kick, spoke.
"Do you know who we are?" The Year Two Initiate was wearing a Diamond mask, and one could see the confusion in his eyes through the eye hole on the mask.
Meanwhile, Simon scoffed.
"A bunch of foolish weaklings who have nothing better to do than attack a slave because he bought some expensive food. If you’re that hungry and poor, say so, and I might be generous enough to give you the bones of my food if you get on your knees like a dog and bark."
Once again, the entire cafeteria went silent, and a pin drop could be heard in this silence.
Even the chefs, restaurant workers, and guards stationed at the door had stunned expressions hearing the words of Simon.
His words... we’re so vicious and ruthless, and many could still not believe that a Year One Initiate would have the boldness to insult his seniors.
Aside from the fact that the four were Simon’s seniors, they could not help but wonder if Simon was actually a fool or just brave since it was clear as day that these four were Archfiends.
But he was still fearless and ruthlessly insulting them.
The diamond-masked Initiate was stunned on the spot, and even his companions forgot the pain they felt and just stared blankly at Simon.
A few seconds later, the Initiate with the multi-eyed mask suddenly shouted.
"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! I’LL FUCKING SLAUGHTER YOU AND FEED YOUR WORTHLESS HEART TO THE PIGS."
Simon’s right eye twitched, and he indifferently said. "Don’t say pigs. I don’t have a good view about them. Be more creative."
"ARE YOU INSULTING ME SLAVE?!" The multi-eyed masked Initiate roared, and a fiery red boomed across his body.
The table in front of Simon shattered and pieces of it were blown away.
Simon covered his entire body in demonic energy, and this protected him from the fragments of the shattered table.
His fingers became moist, and his body began to sweat as red flames could be seen surrounding the multi-eyed masked Initiate.
Simon’s eyes narrowed, and he subtly shifted his posture despite the fact that his foot was still on the face of the metal-masked Initiate.
"Enough, Red Fang. If you attack using your chaos, you’ll be punished by the academy." The diamond-masked Initiate calmly stood in front of the flaming Red Fang, and Simon narrowed his eyes at this.
However, Red Fang was not satisfied and he wanted Simon’s life.
"But-"
"I said enough. We’ll deal with him later. We’ll show him why a Year One Initiate, especially a slave, should not defy the Iron Fangs."
The sound of Red Fang grinding his teeth could be heard by Simon, but at the end of the day, Red Fang calmed and down, and the flames surrounding his body died out.
"He must die, Grey Fang."
The diamond-masked Initiate nodded. "He’ll be made an example of."
Grey Fang then turned, and looked at Simon.
"Hope you’re proud of yourself. You’ve become an enemy of the Iron Fangs. Enjoy-"
"Hey."
Simon cut him off.
"I don’t care if I’m your enemy, nemesis, or at the top of your top priority kill. I was about to eat peacefully, but you ruined my meal and wasted my precious time. Give me all your merits or suffer the consequences."
Grey Fang was stunned for a moment, then he laughed out loud.
"I admit that you’re talented physically and that you’re physically strong for a slave, but that’s that. Do you believe that we’ll ever give you all our credits just because you ’threatened’ us?"
"Foolish slave. What can you do? You’re just a slave and you’re nothing before us and nothing in the eyes of the clan."
"I can kill you right now, and no one would bat an eye. I would only be punished, but my punishment would only be annoying and not severe cause you’re a slave."
"Do you now understand the difference between you and the true clan members?"
Simon remained silent for a few seconds, then he suddenly appeared before the Second Year Initiate wearing a glass mask.
Before the Initiate could react, Simon swung his right hand down, and his claws were released.
In the next moment, an arm fell to the ground which was then followed by a scream of pain.
