The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy!-Chapter 699: Haji And Scarlet’s First Date... and their Third Wheel.
Meanwhile...
"Tch!" Chuck clicked his tongue as he carried his untouched plate, glaring at everyone in the cafeteria who was looking at him like he was some kind of spectacle.
"You losers..." he grumbled, hearing snickers and sneers from a certain direction.
When his eyes fell on a particular table, there they were — some people from the Inner Circle. And around those guys? The same ones who used to lick his shoes.
Chuck’s eyes glinted, the veins in his forehead protruding. "I’m gonna kill all of you someday," he scoffed, holding himself back because, unlike everyone else, Chuck’s only "reward" was that he didn’t get punished.
He heard everyone else got some points or different rewards. He even heard some of them getting promotions in their departments. Even Izu got something from it, even though he was still the captain of the weakest team in the Order.
However, while Izu’s team was still considered the weakest, no one dared look down on Izu openly. If anything, others were trying to get on Izu’s good side for the simple reason that Izu had Lola’s favor.
"So annoying!" he grumbled, stomping his feet in the hallway. "So annoy— ah!!"
Before he could repeat what he had been saying on a loop, a hand suddenly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him into a room. Chuck flinched, the food on his plate almost spilling out. With shaky eyes, he looked up and knitted his brows.
Standing just a few steps from him were Scarlet and Haji.
"What are you..." he trailed off, darting his eyes between the two, his face souring. "What? Are you two on a secret date or something?"
Scarlet’s cold expression grew even colder. "Hajime, I will kill you if this guy screws things up again." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"..." Haji blinked, having second thoughts about his own decision. But after a brief reconsideration, he nodded and snapped his eyes at her. "No, he’s perfect."
"Tsk." She clicked her tongue, jerking her chin at Chuck. "Hey, pack up your things. We’re leaving."
Confused, all Chuck could say was, "Huh?"
"What we’re about to tell you is classified," Haji explained without beating around the bush. "We’re leaving tomorrow, so pack your things and don’t let anyone know about this."
"Wait, wait!" Chuck gasped, looking at the duo in disbelief. "What the hell are you two talking about? Pack my things? Hey, I didn’t get a notice that I’m being sent— ah, wait! Don’t tell me I’m being sent away because of what happened in Ravah?!"
His face twisted, his head flooded with everyone’s mockery about the mission in Ravah. Ever since they came back, he had been everyone’s favorite target for bullying and ridicule. Even when he fought back and berated everyone, things only grew worse.
No one believed him, even when everyone knew that he had the skills!
Even those people in the Inner Circle whom he used to be civil with now looked at him as if he were a disgrace.
But instead of answering, Scarlet reached out. The next second, his back hit the door behind him, her hand clutching his collar.
"This is an important mission, Chuck," she hissed under her breath. "I wanted to argue further, but we are running out of time. However, if you screw this up again, I will declare you a casualty."
Scarlet might easily throw threats around, but this time, she meant every word. Yuri’s life was on the line, and even if Scarlet did not call Yuri her friend, the latter was a great asset to the Order. Not to mention, Yuri was Atlas’s family.
"Pack your things, keep your mouth shut, and meet us in town," she said. "We’ll talk there. If you don’t show up, I’ll take it as your answer."
She paused, eyes glinting. "And know that this karma happening to you... is going to get worse than it is."
Having said that, she released her hold and pushed him back. Chuck, on the other hand, touched his neck and glared daggers at her.
"You..."
"Let’s go." Ignoring him, Scarlet glanced back at Haji before shoving Chuck aside to get to the door.
Without waiting for Haji’s response, she stepped out without looking back. Haji shook his head and sighed heavily, following suit. But before he left, he stopped and turned to Chuck.
"You know... no one feels sorry for you," Haji commented casually. "If anything, I think everyone believes you deserve this treatment. Or rather, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were fueling this even more — not because they don’t acknowledge your skills."
He paused and let out a sharp breath. "I just think that’s how this Order works. You treated those in the Middle and Outer Circles horribly just because you’re part of the Inner Circle. Meanwhile, those in the Inner Circle look down on you simply because you brought shame to the source of your inflated ego and pride."
To be honest, Haji didn’t like this hierarchy or the categorization of these circles. If anything, he realized after the mission in Ravah that there were actually a lot of talented people in the Order, and the Inner Circle wasn’t necessarily the best.
However, this twisted hierarchy was what kept these people going.
So, he also understood why Atlas had no reason to adjust this hierarchy anytime soon.
"And that’s not gonna change anytime soon unless you do something about it," he added in a knowing tone. "And this something is not begging, clearing your name, or parading what you did in Ravah. Rather, there’s only one way — and you know what that is."
"A mission. Big enough to make everyone forget Ravah," Haji huffed sharply. "We’ll be waiting in the main town and... don’t tell anyone about it."
Having said that, Haji waved and stepped out, leaving Chuck seething in anger at everything he had said.

"This doesn’t look like a date at all," Haji complained as he sipped his soda through a straw, hand cupping his cheek, eyes on the window beside them. "Have you been on a date before?"
He and Scarlet didn’t idle much in the mansion. They simply changed their clothes and went to town together for a "date." Although neither of them said it, they let others see them leave together in casual clothing to sell the idea.
Shifting his gaze to Scarlet across from him, she just stared at her black coffee, deep in thought. After a moment, she arched a brow and looked up at him.
"What?" she asked, her tone distant.
Haji studied her face, realizing this was actually the first time he had seen her in casual clothing. Scarlet was always wearing black, fitted clothes. Her pants usually carried weapons, and even when they were in the mansion, she kept her weapons strapped under her clothes. He knew because it was easy to tell.
"Nothing," he said, eyeing her hair that wasn’t tied. "I just thought that looked good on you."
"..." The only reaction he received was a colder stare. Then, she reached for her hair to tie it up.
As she did so, he continued, "I thought you’d argue about Chuck," he said, the straw still clipped between his teeth. "I’m surprised you agreed so easily."
"Chuck’s reputation in the Order right now has hit an all-time low," she answered, finishing tying her hair. "Aside from his expertise, he’s desperate to at least turn the tables."
"Ah..." he nodded. "You think he’s gonna come? After threatening him like that?"
"He will come — not because I threatened him, but because he needs this mission more than you and I."
Just as Scarlet uttered those words, both of them noticed a figure from the corner of their eyes. Turning their heads, their gazes landed on Chuck’s annoyed expression.
Scarlet smirked at Haji. "See?"
He nodded, looking back at her approvingly. "Impressive."
