The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 684: There’s Nothing Wrong with Having Multiple Followers
Mrs. Osborne took off her apron and happily went out to welcome them, her face full of smiles as she ushered them inside.
As she walked to the living room, she said, "Oh my—it’s such a relief to finally have you here. I’ve just finished preparing the dishes; I was worried they’d get cold."
The middle-aged woman’s voice rang out, "Why go through so much trouble? You’re actually cooking yourself, aren’t you afraid of the hassle?"
"Afraid of what hassle?" Mrs. Osborne wiped her hands, her gaze landing on the person next to the middle-aged woman.
"This must be Claire, right? She’s much prettier than in the photos! When you were born, your aunt even held you!"
Claire Woodward awkwardly pulled the corners of her lips into a smile, looked down, and greeted, "Hello, Aunt."
"Good, good, please have a seat." Mrs. Osborne said, turning her head to look at Mio Osborne, who was coming down the stairs, urging, "Mio, quickly pour tea for Miss Woodward." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Claire Woodward followed Mrs. Osborne’s gaze and saw a man in a white suit, his dark eyes deep and mysterious, exuding an inexplicable charismatic aura.
Claire Woodward couldn’t help but be dazzled for a moment.
But she quickly regained her composure.
This arranged date was passable, but compared to Damian Knight, it was far off.
People who’ve seen Mount Everest won’t bother with common hills.
"Hello, Miss Woodward," Mio Osborne greeted proactively, "What kind of tea would you like?"
"Anything works." Claire Woodward curved her lips into a smile.
Faced with a quality man, even if she doesn’t like him, she wouldn’t foolishly reject outright, just like Charles Chapman; having another follower isn’t a bad thing.
It’s just that Charles Chapman got caught by Isaac Ross.
Claire Woodward was scheming, and Mio Osborne had his own thoughts.
He hadn’t been around women in a long time; he needed someone to relieve his urges recently, and he didn’t mind her presence.
Claire Woodward was charmingly pretty, and her eyes carried a similar calmness to Summer Monroe’s.
This resemblance dissolved Mio Osborne’s reluctance towards the match.
But to Mio Osborne, Claire Woodward was merely someone to ease his needs; he wasn’t planning on settling down or marrying yet.
Both parents saw the harmonious exchange between the two and shared a knowing smile.
"Ah, don’t you have any ketchup at home?" Mrs. Woodward deliberately said, "I really like ketchup, I have to dip a little with any dish."
Mrs. Osborne immediately understood and instructed Mio Osborne, "Don’t rush with the tea; go to the supermarket and buy some ketchup for your aunt. Make sure to go to the large supermarket and get a foreign brand."
Mrs. Woodward quickly added, "Claire, you should go along. Aunt Osborne made a whole table of dishes, yet we came empty-handed; go buy some fruit."
Claire Woodward understood their intentions; they were trying to give them a chance to be alone.
Claire Woodward pretended not to understand, nodded, and said to Mio Osborne, "We drove here, let me drive."
"Okay." Mio Osborne nodded, leading the way.
The two were only half a head apart in height, and the two ladies were filled with delight.
The nearby large supermarket was the one close to Crestfall University.
They drove off together.
Simultaneously, Summer Monroe decided to invite Holly Holloway and Ronan Kingston and Finn Ford over for dinner.
She sent Damian Knight a text message asking him not to come home yet, then set off with Holly from the university to the nearby large supermarket to buy groceries.
At the supermarket, Summer Monroe said to Holly Holloway, "Holly, you pick some fruits and drinks you like, I’ll go buy the groceries."
