Chapter 482: Chapter 483: Meeting Lawyer Young, Solving Mysteries

"I’m curious too." Sienna Johnson poked him in the chest. "Hey," she said, dissatisfied. "Aren’t you the Sixth Master? The supposedly all-capable Sixth Master, yet you know nothing? You really disappoint me."

Adrian Desmond took her hand and looked at her with a smile. "Didn’t you say you wanted to fight your own battles without my involvement? Why the change of heart? If you were to ask me, I could easily handle Sabrina Johnson. I could make sure she rots in prison for the rest of her life!"

"..."

"What do you say? Perform well tonight, satisfy me, and I’ll guarantee your satisfaction!" He gripped her chin, his voice arrogant.

Sienna said haughtily, "Sixth Master, don’t forget your status. You married into my family! Shouldn’t you be the one serving me, not the other way around?"

He leaned into her ear and whispered something. Her face instantly turned red. "Shut up!" she hissed.

He laughed and kissed her on the lips.

When they arrived at Blossom Garden Residential Complex, Mr. Leonard parked the car. He kept his eyes forward, not daring to interrupt the couple flirting in the back.

Just as Sienna was about to ask Mr. Leonard why the car had stopped, she looked up and saw they had already reached Blossom Garden Residential Complex.

The roads within the complex were narrow, and many residents had put up illegal structures or left piles of debris, making it difficult to drive further in. So, as they usually did, they parked outside.

"I’m going to meet Sue White. Do you want to wait here or come with me?" Sienna asked.

"Of course, I’m going with you. I remember the pathways in this complex are full of hazards. It would be troublesome if you fell."

Sienna glared at him. "Can you ever wish me well?"

"Why wouldn’t I wish you well? Didn’t you almost trip the last time we were here? And wasn’t I the one who caught you? You still haven’t thanked me properly for that," Adrian Desmond looked at her with dissatisfaction. "Such an ungrateful woman."

"You’re my husband. Isn’t it your duty to look out for me? The way you expect praise every time you do a good deed... I really can’t stand it," Sienna said disdainfully.

Adrian watched her retreating, graceful figure, momentarily speechless. Could any woman be so unreasonable?

「...」

When Sienna arrived at Sue White’s home, Sue White wasn’t there; only Robin was home. To Sienna’s surprise, she also saw a man she recognized: Herbert Young.

She wondered why Herbert Young would be at Sue White’s place.

It was Herbert Young who opened the door. Both he and Sienna were surprised to see each other.

Herbert Young quickly composed himself, stepped aside, and said, "President Johnson, you must be here to see Sue White. Please, come in."

Herbert Young glanced at Adrian Desmond and nodded slightly. Adrian returned a polite nod, a silent acknowledgment passing between them.

"Lawyer Young?"

"President Johnson, you have an impressive memory to recall a minor figure like myself," Herbert Young joked.

"Of course, I remember. Lawyer Young, so eloquent and persuasive, capable of turning white into black. If it weren’t for you, Sabrina Johnson would have been locked up long ago. Lawyer Young, tell me, how could I possibly forget you?" Sienna retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm and her tone aggressive.

Herbert Young gave an embarrassed laugh. "President Johnson, you overestimate me."

Who said I was praising you? I’m being sarcastic!

Sienna and Adrian stepped into Sue White’s home. Robin emerged from the kitchen. Seeing Sienna, he said cheerfully, "Auntie Sienna, what brings you here?"

"I came to see your mom. Where is she?"

"My mom went to work; she’s not home. Auntie Sienna, is Curly here?"

"Curly’s at home. She didn’t come."

"Oh," Robin said, his disappointment evident.

Sienna smiled. "You can come to my house to play with Curly, you know."

Robin still looked dejected.

Sienna had brought some fruit with her, and she’d also bought a ******** for Robin. Despite his sensible nature, he was still a child. Upon receiving the toy, he hugged his ******** tightly, unwilling to let go.

"Thank you, Auntie Sienna."

Sienna patted his head. "Your mom and I are good friends; you don’t need to be so formal with me."

"Auntie Sienna, my mom isn’t back yet. Will you wait for her for a bit? Auntie Sienna, what would you like to drink?"

"Just a glass of plain boiled water, please."

"Okay."

Robin reluctantly put down his ******** and went to pour Sienna a glass of water. Sue White was not well-off and rarely bought Robin gifts, so he was overjoyed to receive one.

Watching him, Sienna felt a twinge of sadness. She thought of her own spoiled daughter at home, who received so many gifts she didn’t appreciate them. Sienna sincerely hoped her daughter would one day find a husband as sensible and caring as Robin.

Noticing the ******** on the table, Herbert Young remarked wistfully, "I tried to give Robin a toy, but he wouldn’t take it. Yet he accepted yours. Why is that?"

Because Herbert Young had defended Sabrina Johnson, Sienna had an unfavorable impression of him, and her words were sharp.

"Children shouldn’t accept things from strangers. Robin did the right thing."

Just as Sienna finished speaking, Robin came out from the other room. He had heard her words and chuckled. "My mom says the same thing."

Herbert Young said dejectedly, "Robin, Uncle is not a stranger!"

Robin ignored him. "Auntie Sienna, here’s your water."

"Thank you."

"I’ll call my mom and ask when she’ll be back."

"Alright."

Robin was very sensible and considerate, behaving like a little adult. Worried that Sienna might be kept waiting too long, he went to call his mother.

Sienna had no intention of conversing with Herbert Young, but he initiated the conversation, bringing up a topic she found most interesting.

"I saw on TV today... about the trial, how Sabrina Johnson bit off Sissi’s ear..."

"Is that so?" Sienna said, feigning indifference.

"...When I was in university, my mentor told me about a real case. A young girl was accused of murdering her own father. To escape punishment, she also created a disturbance in the courtroom... and later applied for a psychiatric evaluation."

Sienna’s eyes lit up. "And then?"

"And then, naturally, the girl was diagnosed with a mental illness. In our country, individuals with diagnosed mental illnesses are considered to have diminished criminal responsibility. If they commit murder, they don’t face the full penalty of the law. The girl was sent to a psychiatric hospital and released a few years later. That’s how she evaded punishment."

"..."

"Isn’t that interesting?" Herbert Young asked.

Although Sienna didn’t consider the man before her a good person, she was aware of his capabilities. So, she asked, "Do you think Sabrina is trying to do the same thing?"

Herbert Young pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and smiled. "It’s possible. After all, feigning mental illness is one way to evade a prison sentence."
