’W-What did she say to me? How dare she...ugh, does Iris have a death wish?’

The thought echoed again and again in my head, growing louder with every second.

I could not help but feel the anger shimmering through my body as soon as I heard those words. My body was shaking in anger, and I tried to stop my teeth from gritting against each other, but it was useless.

My vision blurred slightly, and for a moment, I felt the urge to flip the entire table in front of me.

"What...do you want to say to me exactly, Miss Iris? I would advise you to choose your words carefully from here on...unless you want an accident to happen."

I advised Iris, but she just gave me a bothersome look before she looked at her nails in a dismissive manner.

That indifferent attitude felt like fuel being poured directly onto my rage.

"That is something I want to say to you as well, Miss Rose. Remember, between the two of us, you are the one who is in more danger if the truth behind your actions ever comes to light."

My insides felt hot and cold at the same time. That threat felt effective against me, and I could feel my nails biting into the soft flesh of my hand

A sharp sting spread through my palm, but I welcomed it.

Before I could say anything else, Iris decided to push herself back to her feet and walk away. She waved at me from my office door and gave me a mocking smile.

That smile was burned into my mind like an insult I would never forget.

"Anyway, I should take my leave now. I am late for my shooting. I hope you have a pleasant evening, Miss Rose. Oh, and don’t forget to defend me online. After all, our careers are interlinked. If I go down, you will go down as well."

Iris got her last word as she left my office. I could not take this humiliation anymore. I needed Iris gone, and I needed her gone now.

As for being a top star? That was already a gone deal. After what happened and her tarnished reputation, she won’t be able to be a top star for much longer.

I made a call that I had promised myself I would not make after what happened with Jenna. But here I was, back to my roots again.

My fingers hovered over the screen for a second before I finally committed.

"Hello~ Oh my-! If it isn’t Miss Rose Harvour. What can I help you with today? Ah, but I recall you specifically telling me you did not want to have anything to do with me anymore?"

The man on the other side picked up the phone and let out a chuckle as he spoke to me. His carefree voice got to my head and made me annoyed. But I curbed my annoyance and pushed my feelings back.

I needed to focus if I was going to get my revenge.

"Tsk, I need your help once more. There is a high-profile person I need you to take care of."

I told the man on the other end, and he went quiet before he let out another chuckle.

"Oh-! Is that so? Hmm, I guess I can oblige you in this regard. So, who is this lucky person who managed to get on your nerves this time?"

The man asked, and I wasted no time in telling him his target’s name.

"Her name is Iris. She’s the top actress in my agency. I need you to take her out...and make it seem like Damian Black’s people are behind this. Can you do that?"

I did not want any harm to come to my company, and I wanted Iris out. As much as it snubbed my pride, this man was the only one who could help me out.

After all, he was the one who helped me dispose of Jenna’s body after she died.

"Alright, hun. I can help you with Iris. But I will not mess with Damian Black or his people. I am still attached to my life, after all."

The man told me, and I frowned.

’Tsk, what a coward.’

"Fine, don’t pin the blame on Damian. Pin it on Jenna Lornace, his fiancée...what is wrong with you?"

The man on the other side of the phone broke out into loud laughter at my words. He took some time to calm down before he started to laugh once more.

"What’s wrong with you?"

I asked, and the man finally calmed down a little at my question.

"A-Ah, nothing. It...just feels like somewhat of a joke. As for your request, I am afraid I cannot do that as well. Messing with Damian’s fiancée is not any better than dealing with him. I can only help you make Iris disappear. Will that still be fine?"

My frustration was about to hit the ceiling. I no longer wanted to negotiate with the man on the phone. But I knew that I had no other choice in this matter.

’No, calm down, Rose. This is for your own good. There is no need to get this angry at the moment. He is the only one who can help me out.’

I calmed myself down before I gave my reply.

I took a slow breath, forcing my tone to steady.

"Fine, just make Iris disappear for me. I do not want any harm to come to my company or its reputation. Once you are done, I will give you your money, and we will never have to talk to each other again."

I told the man on the other side before I cut the call. The last thing I heard was his chuckle as he cut the call.

’Tsk, that good-for-nothing idiot. If only I did not need his help...I would never have to contact him again.’
