The Assassin's Enemy Lover-Chapter 83
83 Thank you, big sister
Zi Han who had almost pulled off the cold sleeves of his dress out of annoyance paused his steps when he noticed two miniature humans looking up at a tall wall.
He wanted to walk over and ask what they were doing but decided against it when he overheard their conversation. The cute little girl was angrily tapping her light brain with an ugly expression while the boy was telling her to stop.
“It’s probably broken so it won’t respond. I told you not to play with it here but you didn’t listen,” said Yi Youxi while rubbing his forehead. Who in their family didn’t know how important that flying fairy was to Ming Ming. fre𝑒𝘸𝚎𝚋n૦ѵℯl.c𝒐𝘮
It was one of the first gifts Yi Chen gave to her and she loved it so much that she wouldn’t let anyone touch it. Now it was over the wall and probably broken. He could foresee the start of armageddon if Ming Ming doesn’t get her flying fairy back.
“I am going to skin that twig alive,” she said having lost her cutesy side, “give me a boost.”
“No, you don’t know what’s over that wall. Let’s go find mum or I can tell Dage to come to the garden when he comes to pick us up,” he suggested but Ming Ming’s stubborn side had reared its ugly head and she wasn’t budging.
“Mum will scold us if she finds out and Dage will be disappointed when he finds out it broke. I don’t want him to know. Now hurry up and give me a boost,” said Ming Ming before placing both her hands on his shoulders urging him to kneel.
Zi Han had a vague sense of crisis watching this. Even if the boy boosted his sister up the wall she was still too short. This plan was bound to fail.
“Ah, Ming Ming don’t step on my head,” yelped Yi Youxi but Ming Ming was extremely determined. Stepping on her tippy toes she stretched out her hand to touch the edge of the top part of the wall.
.....
With her tongue sticking out at the corner of her lips she grunted while saying, “I, I almost.... almost go-got it... AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!” she screamed as she tumbled down. Zi Han who had seen this coming rushed over and caught her but Yi Youxi wasn’t so lucky. He wasn’t hurt but he did manage to dirty his suit.
Zi Han put down the little girl while asking if she was okay. That’s when he noticed Yi Youxi lying flat on the ground watching him with sparkling eyes. Zi Han smiled slightly before pulling him up.
“Thank you, big sister,” said Ming Ming after tugging at Zi Han’s dress in between her fingers to get his attention.
Zi Han just smiled at her before asking, “Did you lose something?”
Ming Ming’s eyes lit up and she took his hand and led him to the wall while saying, “Some asshole threw my fairy over the wall and it’s very important to me. Can you mmm?”
Yi Youxi who was stuck in a stupor just now rushed over and put his hand over Ming Ming’s mouth while saying, “Yo-you can’t say that word, especially in front of a lady.”
Zi Han, “???”
Ming Ming took his hand off her mouth and pleaded. “Big sister, may you please get it for me. My dage bought it for me and I will be very sad if I lose it,” she said with tears in her eyes while pointing at the top of the wall.
Zi Han would, of course, agree so without considering that he was wearing a dress he climbed up the wall with ease and ten seconds later he climbed over again and came down holding a broken toy in his hand.
Ming Ming hurriedly thanked him as she examined her broken treasure. But the more she examined it the sadder she became. Yi Youxi wanted to comfort her but Zi Han suddenly asked, “Would you like to avenge the fallen comrade?” he said leaning down to meet her sad eyes.
Ming Ming who was sadly poking at the fairy’s broken sensor looked up and her dim eyes brightened. “Yes, I want vengeance.... I want to burn them to ash with a laser cannon,” she said looking like a cuter version of Nezha the demon child.
Zi Han, “WTF”
Wasn’t that a little too dark?
“I like that idea. Let’s go murder some bullies,” said Yi Youxi unwilling to be outdone. If this pretty sister says let’s go hunting for some bullies he would do it willingly.
Zi Han waved his hands in refusal while saying, “No, no..... offing them makes it too easy on them. It’s that low slow torment that is more satisfying. But since we are upstanding citizens of the federation we just bully them enough to not get into trouble. For example..... using this....”
He took out a laser blaster for kids from his interspatial bracelet on his wrist. This was no ordinary laser blaster. After his mother tweaked it a little it turned into a laser blaster that could stun people like a taser. The electric current wasn’t too high nor was it too low. The pain was equivalent to getting an injection and once stun several times it would put one in their place.
Please don’t ask why Zi Xingxi would give a five year old such a thing. When he was young he got bullied once or twice and his mother made this for him. Like snipers, they hid in the bushes and tormented these bullies for five days straight.
Now he was using the same blaster to torment little brats. Yi Youxi’s brow arched upwards when he saw this toy laser blaster. It was designed for games like laser tag hence it shouldn’t cause any pain but based on this big sister’s malicious smile there was more to it.
Ming Ming who had more faith in this big sister than her older brother raised her arms and said, “Can this big sister carry me? My leg hurts,” looking so pitiful that one would believe in her lies.
Zi Han knew he was getting played but AAAAAHHHHH who in their right mind would be able to resist this level of cuteness? Zi Han gave the laser blaster to Yi Youxi while saying, “Keep your fingers off the trigger,” before carrying the little girl.
“Let’s go find them,” he said only for his free hand to be held by Yi Youxi before guiding them to where those three idiots were.
