Chapter 19: Chapter 019: Staying at Ex-Wife’s House is Not a Good Thing
"I thought you tacitly agreed."
Seeing Munni roll her eyes at him, Yisen paused for a few seconds before adding, "I haven’t changed the password yet."
"Don’t worry, I’ll change it tomorrow."
"...!"
"It’s raining heavily outside, so I’ll stay here tonight."
Munni was just about to refuse Yisen, but a rumble of thunder echoed by her ear, forcing her to swallow the ’no’ back down, and she said with a playful tone, "Staying over at your ex-wife’s place isn’t a good thing, don’t let it happen again."
With that, she grabbed a bottle of red wine and a wine glass and walked out of the kitchen. When she was about to turn the corner, she said, facing away from Yisen, "There should still be your clothes in your room, make yourself at home."
Yisen didn’t reply, but his dark eyes gleamed with a sparkling smile as he watched her back.
Munni had just sat down on the living room sofa for a moment when she saw Yisen also coming out of the kitchen.
She thought he would go upstairs to his room, but unexpectedly, he walked towards her and sat on the single sofa beside her.
Munni lazily glanced at Yisen before retracting her gaze to focus on the large TV screen in front of her.
Watching her drink wine and watch TV as if completely ignoring him made Yisen, who used to be highly admired by her, feel a bit helpless.
Finally, unwilling to be ignored, Yisen spoke up after a moment, "I heard you want to open a restaurant?"
Munni didn’t answer directly but teased, "Well, you’ve got quite the connections."
Just yesterday, she mentioned the idea of opening a restaurant to Ziyuan, and today Yisen had already heard about it. Munni couldn’t help but internally grumble about the two Liang brothers—ungrateful and unreliable!
"Do you have any ideas?"
Munni nodded, leaned slightly to pick up the wine bottle from the coffee table, and poured a bit of wine into her empty wine glass.
"Yes." She elegantly swirled the wine glass, then brought it to her lips and took a small sip.
"Care to share?"
Munni glanced at Yisen beside her, noticing a hint of interest on his face. When he looked at her, his eyes no longer had the coldness from before but a warmth she found unfamiliar.
She sincerely thought... this Yisen today must be under some spell, acting so unusual!
"I want to open a Japanese restaurant. From chefs to waiters, they all have to be handsome, with high looks, and an eight-pack kind of body. Most importantly, they must be single so that as the boss, I can be surrounded by them every day. Just thinking about it is exciting."
The slightly intoxicated charm in Munni’s refined eyes, paired with her light blinking and the alluring mischief in her eyes, made her suddenly blurt out this wild idea, causing Yisen’s lips to twitch slightly.
"Interesting idea, but it might not attract male customers."
Munni couldn’t believe Yisen actually said this bizarre idea was interesting and even gave a suggestion!
See, she knew there was something off about Yisen today—terrifyingly so!
She then joked, "As long as the manager is happy, no one cares about what male customers think."
There was a bit of arrogance and defiance in her tone. She tilted her head slightly and downed the wine in her glass, then set it down.
"Munni."
"Hmm?" Munni raised her eyebrow slightly, a soft, charming smile tugging at her red lips.
She thought Yisen had finally had enough of her willfulness, but to her surprise, he gently said, "I can invest."
