Chapter 844 An Immature Child

Scarlet House, Lady's Chamber.

Talia sat on her chair seemingly in a deep thought. There were a lot of files laid in front of her.

At this moment, a person appeared in the room from thin air.

"What is it?" Talia calmly asked not even raising her head to see who it was.

"My Lady, it's the young master..he wants to meet you.." The servant replied with his head down.

"Tell him to rest, he still isn't fully healed. I will go to him later.." Talia waved her hand. Most of her attention was on the files on the desk, and it could be understood that the matter was really important for her.

"That…he isn't listening…." The servant further added with a calm tone.

Talia's brows creased upon hearing that. Recently things had been a little strange, and she was trying to find the source of these ill feelings. On top of that, she was also paying attention to catch the person who attacked Travis. And, the last and the worst was the news of the incident at Ishtar with students dying which had stem up a source of major headache for her.

The Ancient Families were obviously criticized by the Noble Houses, and it was inevitable. Hence, the Ancient Families were probably going to deploy someone capable to oversee the competition in Ocien. This certainly messed Talia's plan, and was giving her headaches.

With all of this to deal with, she still had to face her immature son.

"This child, when will he grow up.." Talia sighed, "Let him in.."

With that the servant nodded, and then disappeared.

A minute later, Travis came into the room in a wheelchair while being pushed by a servant. He still had bandages around, and a hard collar on his neck.

"What is this?" Talia asked with a frown as the servant who pushed Tavis in left after bowing to her.

"That's what I want to ask?" Travis replied in a little anger. "I am injured here, and you are busy in your work while the culprit is roaming around freely!"

"Lower your voice.." Talia's gaze turned particularly cold for an instant, and Travis's aggressive figure immediately calmed down a little.

"Yes, you can only shout at me. You really don't care for me.." The guy still didn't let the matter go.

"I am looking for the person. If there is nothing else, go and rest…" Talia waved her hand with a sigh.

"How can I rest when it still hurts so bad.." Travis gritted his teeth in anger. He didn't know what sort of enmity that person had with him. But, the way he had struck had definitely left a strange energy in his body which even her mother couldn't extract.

But, still it was due to his demon origins and Talia's ability that he was able to move around on wheelchairs, if not, he would still be lying on the bed.

"Why did you think that happened then?" Talia asked as she looked at him.

"Of course, it's those weak guard's faults!" Travis replied without any hesitation.

"Don't blame your weakness on anyone else. If you even had the ability to buy a second for yourself, they would have rescued you. But, look at your weak self, you should be thankful to them, if they weren't there in the next second, you wouldn't be alive right now.." Talia harshly berated him. She felt that she had been too good to her son all this while. She had raised him up away from the Demon World, away from people very important in his life. Hence, she had always allowed him to do as he wished.

But, it seems that it had to come to a stop now. After all, if at this stage, he continued being this immature, it would only be a matter of time before he got himself killed. They were in the human world. The moment he did something foolish, and revealed his identity, it wouldn't take long for someone would chop his head off.

"Huh..so this was my fault now?" Travis looked at her in disbelief.

"Then whose fault do you think it was?" Talia calmly asked. She wasn't talking about the attacker at this point of time.

"That.." Travis grinded his teeth in anger before something finally clicked in his mind. "I remember now! It's that guy! Max! He suddenly appeared that day without any notice! I felt something suspicious about it! He must be on it!!" ƒ𝐫𝒆𝐞w𝗲𝚋𝗻૦𝘷e𝙡.c𝑜𝙢

Talia frowned upon hearing it. She had already heard about Max appearing there on that day, but she also knew that he was brought there by Synthia. Not to mention, Max was under her control. There was no way that he could do anything to her son and even think of harming her interest. If he did, she would definitely feel it.

"Stop giving excuses! I am done with this behavior of yours! From now on Butler Yelur will oversee your training. And, you will be treated like any other person. No special privileges.." Talia immediately closed the deed with that statement, and didn't even allow Travis to retort it at all.

"Y-You!!" Travis could only go crazy inwardly, before shouting in anger as he turned to leave, "You only blame me! But you will never do anything to that guy! That b*stard is your favourite now, of course he is!!"

Talia's frown deepened on hearing that. But, she just shook her head and sighed. She knew that kid was immature, unable to see the bigger picture. No matter what she said, it wouldn't go through his head right now, and there wasn't enough time for her to sit with him, and make him understand it peacefully.

"The students from the Academy will be arriving soon, then there will be the group from the Ancient Families. It's going to be a headache for a while. But, I can't make any mistakes at this point of the stage.." Talia muttered to herself with a serious look on her face as she turned her attention back to the files on her desk. They were so close to their goal, a failure wasn't something that could be tolerated, she definitely didn't want to disappoint that person.
