The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 115
Chapter 115: Chapter 115
Lorcan walked into the room and pulled open the floor door.
"Come out," he yelled.
The first to pop out her head was Keona, then followed by Amora. Kaelis stepped out afterward and then Augustus who was holding Alexis made his way up using the stairs.
The floor door was closed.
"Is he gone?" Augustus asked.
Lorcan nodded. "Well, he almost thought he was crazy—that everything wasn’t real and that didn’t exclude Alexis. He thought it was all in his head."
"So, you almost made him think he was insane?"
"Not really. But there is nothing to worry about. Keelion is perfectly fine. I’ve gotten him to calm down and he’s also left, now you don’t have to worry about him being here anymore."
His eyes crossed over to Amora and he smirked at her. She rolled her eyes and walked to the door that led out of the room, pulling it open. "We need to find someone that can help Alexis."
Lorcan furrowed his brows.
"Why? What’s wrong with her?"
Amora answered, "The mate bond is affecting her. And she could die. Not just that, but if she dies, your brother...might just lose his mind completely, and worse, he might follow along with her. Heartbreak can kill...you know."
"Oh, fuck." Lorcan rubbed his forehead. "You’ve got to be kidding me. How in love are they even with each other? Why does their mate bond have to be this strong?"
"That isn’t a question for me to answer." Amora shook her head.
The man began to pace back and forth, but then he suddenly stopped and glanced at them. "Take her back to the room. I’m calling someone from my pack who might just be able to help her."
They agreed and left the room, returning Alexis to the room they’d initially left to avoid Keelion.
Augustus laid her on the bed and brushed her curls off her sweating forehead. "Will she be okay?"
"I think so," Keona responded. "We can only wait for whoever Lorcan is calling. Don’t worry, we’re never going to let Alexis die. Not unless we do first."
He nodded and just like everyone else, began waiting for the person.
...
A knock came at the door.
Kaelis who’d slept off was jolted awake and so were Keona and Amora. The only one who’d been initially awake was Augustus.
Keona walked to the door and pulled it open.
A young-looking woman, probably Alexis’s age stood and smiled. Oh, but she wasn’t really young—Keona knew that because even if everyone else couldn’t, she and her sister could, behind that mask she had over her aged self.
A witch.
"You’re a witch."
"I am," the lady replied and reached out a delicate, pretty hand. "My name’s Elowen."
"Elowen..." Keona peered intently at her before nodding and stepping aside, letting her in. She closed the door. "You’re not a werewolf, so how exactly are you going to help her."
The woman, Elowen smiled, walking over to the bed where Alexis was laid. "I’m not a werewolf, of course, but if there is anything my kind studies, it’s werewolves. Every year, only a few of us, not even up to ten are allowed to join a pack. We can’t join if we’re clueless, you know. So everyone tries as hard as they can to get in. It’s our only means of survival, at least from the vampires."
She made a point. Everyone was aware witches latched onto any pack they could get in, because if not, they were targets for these vampires who hunted them as if they were some sort of animal.
"So, how are you going to help her?" this time, Kaelis asked.
Elowen glanced at him.
"She’s a dominant omega."
Augustus made a face of confusion the very second she said that. The only ones who didn’t seem shocked or bemused were Amora and Keona.
"We’re aware that she—"
"Wait, wait, what?" Kaelis furrowed his brows. "What do you mean by a dominant omega? I think you’re confused. Dominant omegas don’t exist anymore. I haven’t even heard of one since I could understand a single letter."
Elowen shrugged. "They still exist, just rare. And your friend here is a dominant omega."
"That makes no sense," Augustus chirped in. "She isn’t manifested or anything of the sort."
"True," the witch agreed. "But there is a reason for that." She proceeded to explain, "I’m not sure to what extent is the strength of her dominant wolf, but your friend here is too weak to accommodate her wolf. If they forced the manifestation, she would die."
Both men glanced at Koena and Amora and they nodded, backing the woman’s words. "She’s right."
"How would they know if they never tried?" Kaelis inquired. "This makes no sense."
"Her wolf..." Keona spoke. "She’s aware. Even if she didn’t know exactly why they were being restricted, she knew that Alexis’s body was still too weak to accommodate her. So she never forced the manifestation to keep her alive. She didn’t want to hurt Alexis in any way,"
They all blinked...
"Is...a wolf supposed to be that intelligent without at least spending time with their other half?" Augustus asked.
Amora half smiled. "Alexis’s wolf is different. Very similar to Keelion."
"What do you mean?"
She explained, "Alexis can talk to her wolf just like Keelion can to his own wolf, so she hasn’t been alone all this time."
"Hold on, that is a thing?" Kaelis blew his eyes wide at them. "Talking to your wolf is a thing?"
"Yes, but only Alexis and Keelion seem to be capable of it. Haven’t you noticed her talking to herself sometimes?"
Augustus shot his head up. "Oh right, that is...true. I thought she was crazy or something."
Amora cackled. "No."
"Why are we unable to do the same?" Kaelis inquired. "I would kill to talk to mine."
She shook her head. "You lots are typical, unlike Alexis and Keelion. Both creations are special."
Elowen eyed her, sniffed a little bit, and even if unnoticed by others, her eyes went strangely wide before she rapidly shook her head, erasing whatever she might have figured out, out of her head."
"The easiest way to heal her from this pain is to take her back to him. Keelion Fane, her mate," she said.
Amora moved closer. "Is there no other way?"
