The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter-Chapter 978: THE FINAL BATTLE (44)
Chapter 978: THE FINAL BATTLE (44)
"Hold him down!" Iris roared, while Lou thrashed his body on the sand. He felt his guts were being ripped apart.
The pain was unbelievable!
Cezi and Cedric immediately came to help, they held Lou down, while Iris tried to get Rei’s spirit out of his body.
This was why, Rei was called as spirit and why had this ritual where he needed sacrifice, just like Decratic, he didn’t have real body. The only thing that was left of them after five centuries was only their spirit.
Because of Rei’s entanglement with Decratic, he preserved Decratic’s existence within his own. Just like what he said, he wanted the existence of Decratic, so the circle of Serafim would never end.
Rei selfishly retained Decratic’s existence, keeping the devil not strong enough to cause trouble, but it was enough to not cut the circle of the Serafim, so he could meet with Na again one day.
This was another level of insanity and now the spirit possessed the closer being and it was Lou. Yet, the merchant fought back.
"We need to destroy the spirit!" Iris said in panic. "But, I can’t do it if the spirit is still inside Lou’s body, I am going to destroy his spirit as well!"
They needed to get Rei’s spirit out of Lou first, or else, Iris could accidentally kill Lou as well.
However, the pain that Lou had to endure was unbearable. "Do it! Do it now!" Lou roared. He wanted to be done with it! This was too painful!
Cezi and Cedric were having a hard time to hold Lou back and Ethan joined in to hold him too.
"Damn it! Since when he become so strong?! He had never exercise in his entire life!" Ethan cursed, as he held both of his legs.
"Can you do it?" Cane asked.
Iris shook her head. "We need to get the spirit out of Lou first!" She was going to kill Lou if she did it wrongly.
More so, it was Rei’s spirit that they needed to be destroyed, killing Lou wouldn’t solve the problem, since Rei’s spirit could latch onto someone else, just like before.
However, when Iris tried to find a solution to get Rei’s spirit out of Lou’s body, before it merged completely with the merchant, Liam started to take an action.
He walked toward them calmly, as if he approached his old friend, which alerted them, but didn’t make them attacked him immediately.
"Liam?" Abby walked toward him.
"No! Abby! Back off!" Cedric shouted at her. He couldn’t physically stop her because he had to hold Lou down and it was actually Redmond, who caught her arm.
"Are you crazy? Can’t you see the sword in his hand?" Redmond was not nice with his words. "Do you want to be cut into two like that?" He nodded at Rei’s cut body.
"But, he is..." Abby couldn’t find her word, especially when Liam unsheathed his sword and pointed it against them. He was going to get Rei, who currently tried to get Lou’s body. "No... please..." Abby whispered.
She had prepared herself for the worse, but still she couldn’t go through with it.
It had been months and the last time they met, she didn’t even think it would be the last time she would see him. There was no goodbye, there was no meaningful conversation, there was nothing.
And now, Abby was presented with this. Liam looked aloof, he didn’t even recognize her. What Rei had done to him?!
"Please, don’t..." Abby wanted to cry when she watched Jace and Redmond shifted into their beasts and fought Liam. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
There was something weird about him. He moved so fast, initially, a knight wouldn’t stand a chance to fight two against one with the shifter, but Liam fought really well, his speed was unusual and this was because the black magic that instilled in him.
Another proof and reason why he had to be killed, since he was also the last pillar.
"No... stop," Abby said in trembling voice. This was so cruel. Liam had not yet met their baby. He didn’t know that he was a father now.
Never in million time Abby would imagine their next encounter would be like this. It was way better if Liam died. It would be a mercy if Rei just killed Liam, instead of using him like this.
In her frustration, Abby snapped out of her misery when she heard Iris shouted.
"Zale! Get here!"
Cane already grabbed Iris’s waist and pulled her back, as Cezi, Cedric and Zale created a barrier around Lou to restrain him. Rei was persistent and you could tell that he was going to get a complete control over Lou’s body soon.
However, the barrier that the three protectors created were not strong enough to hold him back.
Lou was the protector too and it clicked in their mind how Rei managed to get that birthmark, there must be some point, where he encountered the real protector and got it from them, just like what he was doing to Lou right now.
This time, Cane used the black wisp to restrain Lou, but once he made a contact with him, he could feel it.
There was a way to do it.
The only way for them to kill Rei’s spirit was to pull him out of Lou’s body and before it could latch onto someone else, they needed to destroy it, or else, they would only hurt the host.
"Can you do it right away if I can pull Rei’s spirit out of Lou?" Cane asked Iris.
"Yes." She only needed to get a hold of the spirit and purified it. After all, the spirit was made by black magic.
"Let me handle this and stay back."
"What are you going to do?" Iris held Cane’s hand before he could approach Lou.
"See the cue and once you saw the opportunity, don’t hesitate and destroy the spirit right away, understood?"
Iris frowned, she didn’t like the sound of it. "You are not going to do something reckless, right? You are not going to hurt yourself, right?"
"You don’t need to worry, I know what I am doing," Cane reassured her and then went ahead to face Lou head on.
The alpha gave an instruction to Cedric, Cezi and Zale to back off and kill Liam.
However, the thing with Liam didn’t look easy. Abby decided to protect him and now, Jace and Redmond were having a hard time to get to the knight without harming her.
"No! Wait!" Cedric stood in front of Redmond when he saw the warrior didn’t have enough patient for this and would attack Liam anyway.
Hell, Redmond didn’t care if he hurt Abby, it was her fault for standing on his way, but Cedric actually used barrier to protect Abby and Liam.
"There must be a way!" Cedric said hastily. "Stop for a while!"
"How can you ask to stop when he literally wanted to kill us?!" Ethan roared angrily at Cedric. "What is this? Are we going back to the part where the shifters fighting against the people from Holy Kingdom again?! This is ridiculous!"
But this time, Iris was the one, who made a move.
