Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 202: Felicia
Andria’s POV
The sound cracked through the hallway again.
A sharp, violent pop, like wood splintering under pressure.
Everyone stiffened, including Professor Garrich, who was just trying to stage an accusation against me.
My breath hitched.
That sound came from the direction of Sir Kaelric’s office.
Where Liara and Jackson were supposed to be locked up. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Allison’s grip on my arm tightened until it almost hurt. "Aria... that came from his office, right?"
I swallowed hard, forcing my voice to be steady"Yeah. It did."
Sir Kaelric had already turned sharply, eyes narrowing in the direction of the corridor. Although he tried so hard to conceal it, I could tell that he was just as shocked as we were.
His aura and presence shifted slightly as he tensed up, ready to charge back to his office to know what had gone wrong.
"Stay here," he ordered.
But before he could take a step, the headmistress raised a hand. "Kaelric, wait..."
"No." His tone was sharp and final. "Something is wrong, Liara and Jackson are up to something, and I have to find out."
The headmistress paled.
Aven, Damon and Tristan exchanged looks "We are coming with you," they said in unison, charging forward.
"Nothing I can’t handle on my own," he replied.
Professor Garrich stepped closer, alarm replacing his smugness for once. "I don’t think you should go alone even if you are so strong."
Sir Kaelric didn’t answer him. Didn’t even grant him a glance. Instead, he moved forward with unfaltering steps.
But the moment he took a single step, another crack exploded through the hallway, louder and deeper.
I jumped backwards, heart slamming against my ribs.
This felt off, not like what Jackson or Liara could do. Then what was that?
Allison whispered, "Aria... what’s happening? What’s happening in there?"
My mouth opened to answer, but nothing came out.
Because even I didn’t know.
But a cold, gripping certainty curled inside my gut.
My vision blurred for a second, a flash of orange fire, smoke, footsteps. I gasped and gripped my head.
No, not now, not another vision.
But Sir Kaelric’s voice cut through the fog in my skull.
"Aria."
My eyes shot up to him.
His gaze locked on mine, sharp and knowing, as if he had pulled the thought straight from my bloodstream.
"Don’t fight it."
My chest tightened. "I...I wasn’t..."
"Your power is forcing itself awake," he said quietly, but everyone heard it. "The more you resist, the worse the backlash."
Allison’s eyes widened in terror as she looked at me.
Damon looked at me with a worried expression. "Aria, are you okay?"
Aven turned toward me slowly, disbelief and something like fear flickering in his eyes. "Aria?"
And then I saw her, the wolf that had pursued Macy and me from the mall. She looked so much like Tracy.
Where did she come from, and who let her in?
"Sir Kaelric," I said, turning to him, "someone strange is in your office."
Professor Garrich cursed under his breath. "What in the name of Ashwood crisis is going on. Who is the strange intruder?"
"Not like you care, Professor Garrich," Sir Kaelric said darkly, "Aria, come with me."
The headmistress stepped forward. "Tell us what’s going on."
"You are the headmistress, you should have gone there to find out, but turns out that you are too scared to," Sir Kaelric retorted.
Sir Kaelric turned, giving me a look, and I followed instantly. Aven, Damon and Tristan followed too.
"What did you see, Ari?" Sir Kaelric asked.
"You will find out once you get there," I replied to him.
He hastened his footsteps. In this moment, I wanted to borrow speed from my vampire ability, but that would be exposing an identity that would be frowned upon, and I may get expelled or even worse, sent to the underworld.
As soon as we got close to Sir Kaelric’s office, we noticed the door had been broken.
We walked in just to see her trying to untie Liara and Jackson.
"Well, you can’t free them," Sir Kaelric said, moving closer.
She froze and then turned.
Sir Kaelric gasped, as did the Alpha successors.
Aven inhaled sharply. "Tracy, what are you doing back at Ashwood?"
She laughed hysterically, stepping closer to Aven, and then glancing over at all of us and then back at Aven.
"I’m not Tracy, I’m Felicia, Tracy’s sister," she said, pointing her index finger at Aven’s shoulder.
"I heard of all the things my sister had to endure in this academy, especially in the hands of an unknown she-wolf, which I guess she is the one standing here," she continued, glancing at me.
"My sister didn’t deserve what came to her, but for some reason, because this whore over there warmed her way to the beds and hearts of every male staff member in this academy, my sister was sent out of school with such serious charges.
And now she can’t even attend any local schools; it’s as if she is being stigmatized. And this is almost because of her...because of you all, and I must give her vengeance," Felicia blurted.
And so I get it, Tracy had lied to her sister so much that her sister has embarked on a wrong mission, not even caring to find out the truth. But who would actually care? When the culprit is your sister.
She went back to untying Liara.
Sir Kaelric stepped forward and gripped her by the neck. I could tell it wasn’t tight, but enough to stop her from what she was doing.
"It’s either you free me or I light this whole place up, with all of us in it," she said, playing with the lighter in her hand.
"You wouldn’t do that," Sir Kaelric said.
I could see the fear in Liara’s face as Felicia said that. She moved in her chair frantically, trying to pull herself out of her bound situation.
Jackson looked weak; he wasn’t even fighting at all.
"I would," she said.
