Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy-Chapter 179: Twisting pain
Chapter 179: Twisting pain
Dolor sneered. "I see no reason why I should tell you about that. How will I benefit from it? It’ll only come to bite me again in the ass."
Severin narrowed his eyes. The main reason he was there in the first place was to train and learn more about the power in him. "Tell me."
Dolor snorted. "No, I won’t. No way. You’re dangerous already. I don’t want to imagine what you will do once your hand touches more power. It’s better for you to remain like that, as you are."
Severin nodded, his expression smooth. "Alright. I understand."
Dolor looked at him in suspicion. He didn’t believe Severin, but he also knew that there was nothing he could do.
But the slight frown that Severin suddenly showed made him focus.
Severin narrowed his eyes. "Let’s see. Miret mentioned something earlier. He said it is our soul that gets transported here, meaning my body isn’t here. Only my consciousness and soul."
Dolor took a step back, something flickering in his eyes. "What are you thinking about?"
Severin shifted towards him. "I’m thinking... if my soul is here, then I don’t have need of my body. And the biggest problem I have with the pain power is that my body can’t take it."
"But my body isn’t here. Only my soul."
Dolor flinched. His face hardened. "What are you going to do?"
Severin raised his hand. "Pain. All."
There was a slight pause as if time ground to a stop. The space around them seemed frozen.
Dolor’s eyes widened.
And Severin, his eyes turned red immediately.
Then everything returned to normal with an explosion of red rippling power and shockwave that blasted everything around them to the side.
Oppressive, dejected aura crawled from Severin and spread outward like reaching needles.
Everything around him instantly fell into pain. The ground groaned and the air moaned. At the same time, crying sounds came from him as if there were countless lost souls surrounding him, weeping in pain.
Above his head, a halo of red bands sprung to life.
When he opened his eyes, the space in front of him exploded and then twisted.
Twisting pain.
His eyes were blood red and tears dripped down his cheeks.
Dolor shook his head in horror and took a step back. "No! No! You took more power from me than I expected. You don’t deserve all of this. You are not worth it!"
Severin tilted his head. "I am not worth it?"
His voice was low and yet it contained strangeness. There was weeping, pain, and sorrow hidden in it. All those that heard it would feel their bodies and hearts twist in pain.
Dolor’s eyes glowed red as well. His face crumpled like a mask and reshaped into that of a weeping face. Tears of blood ran down his cheeks. "I think... I will deal with you here and finish this."
"Piercing pain!" Dolor shouted.
Faint red aura formed around him and then shot forward in an unending lookalike of a spear.
Woosh!
Alarm exploded in Severin’s head as warning bells went off.
He didn’t want that attack near him.
On instinct, he raised his own hand and twisted the world around him. Everything around him was already filled with pain. So... he twisted the pain.
Twisting pain!
The world whirled and everything turned into a blur. Only Severin could see with absolute clarity. He saw the attack sent his way twisted to the side.
Dolor was twisted forward and even the ground was twisted away as if Severin had made a black hole around him.
Even Severin was twisted to the side before he controlled himself and stopped the attack.
Everything returned to normal.
The ground around Severin had been twisted into large craters. The attack that Dolor made was a large hole beside him that seemed to pierce deeply into the ground.
Dolor had also been jerked far closer to him.
The two of them stared at each other.
Severin didn’t waste time.
His hand snapped forward and he gripped Dolor’s head. He didn’t quite know what he was doing, but he... projected himself into his head.
’...since Dolor had been in my head countless times... why shouldn’t I be in his...’
Severin’s head shouted at him as he dived like a falling falcon into Dolor’s consciousness. He didn’t waste time and he immediately looked for anything related to pain and training.
But he didn’t last long as Dolor shielded himself and sent him out.
Severin returned to consciousness, his hand still on Dolor’s head. "Twisting pain!"
No need to waste the opportunity.
Immediately, the world went blurry and everything layered to the side, but the focus point this time was Dolor’s head.
The head twisted like wrung clothes and then exploded into a shower of blood.
But.
Dolor’s body still moved, jerked away from him, and retreated, forming another head. "You fucking bastard!"
Severin looked at him curiously. "You shouldn’t speak like that. Compose yourself. You are a god."
"Fuck that!" Dolor spat. "You bloody son of a whore, I’m going to kill you one day and I’ll be the most happiest!"
Severin sighed. He just kept having enemies that wanted him dead. He shook his head. "A shame."
But he wasn’t angry.
He had learned, in that brief moment he was in Dolor’s head. Severin had learned more than he expected to learn.
Divinity isn’t a power that is set in stone.
In fact, divinity can be considered as a shaky power.
It depends on a lot of things. Most especially, how a large number of people feel a particular thing. If everyone in the world decided that fire makes them cold instead of feeling heat... the fire god would start making things cold.
It depends on people’s view on things.
And then, on how the god themselves view things. freewebnøvel_com
Severin had felt pain. A lot of it.
And the way he could describe pain was that it twists things. It makes monsters of people and brings the worst out of them, and that was why his pain power leaned toward there.
Twisting pain.
